"It's hard to pretend everything is fine when nobody even notices I'm not okay"
Somehow, this post of yours really reminds me of this quote. Khushi had no one by her side to stand up for her today. True. I won't say what she did was right because it wasn't, but one needs to give her credit for that gesture which she adopted to help her family. It might just have worked and was worth the risk had that out of norms situation not messed everything up. Her mother, honestly, was the one who disappointed me the most today. Relationships are based more on love than on blood and affection is what binds Khushi to Payal and her other family members, not the same DNA.
Arnav, I will not judge him for what he did. Looks like he doesn't believe that genuine, good and honest people can actually exist in this world.
I would just want to say that it is clear Abhishek knew about the dowry so I would say good riddance. Like I said in a post, weddings based on dowry, materialism and greed don't even deserve to be called 'marriages' where the daughter-in-law is kept happy and comfortable only till her parents act as machines for minting money and sometimes, even then she's not. And honestly, is daughter that big a burden that parents will marry her off anywhere and to any kind of people? I'm not blaming those parents because I'm aware of the plight of such people but this circumstance needs to be questioned. It can't go on.
Erm...I went off-topic. Nice post, Poco!! I hope Khushi gives Arnav a piece of her mind as shown from the precap. I hate it when a person takes another's nonsense and doesn't stand up for themselves.

i dont know why but the show does have some resembles with geet
yesterday the way she fell on him and from todays precap
the scene of holy place that also resembled geet
but i really hope they turn khushi into a strong character

Thank you, Annie. Yeah, resemblances to Geet are striking and the creatives need to re look at the innovation department of their scenes. Khushi is an individual and i definitely don't want to see any other character reflected in her. 😊

both khushi and arnav are sailing on the same boat of loneliness...

we all thought they are different...but both are indeed the same...lonely...yearning for love...
only one difference is khushi belives in living life to the largest ...and sorrows doesn't matter her...
but arnav lives life with a pain...he lives in his past...

But on the second hand she tried, didn't she?But she was scared. And her 'tujhse sagaa mera koi bhi nahin hai' was genuine.
And what does the father do? Just say a 'bas jiji' and that too after the jiji has said everything she wanted to.

Thank you. 😃...See, i agree that Payal and Dad are good but is being good enough? No. Love is not love if it cannot protect the one you claim to love. i am hoping more strength of character from these two later. And that jeeji needs to go to hell. 😆

Thank you. Hmm. Point. Loneliness is actually AK's meeting point , it is just that they are yet to know it. 😊

@Pocahontas...brilliant post...accurate analysis of khushi . The most touching part is when her bua asks khushi not to call "amma"...khushi's eyes reflected her pain. Well done sanaya for emoting in a very balanced way.

I expected her uncle & payal to atleast stand for khushi , but nothing of that sort happened. In coming episode khushi shall definitely emerge as a strong individual.

Having said this I would also like to point out , whatever khushi & payal have planned secretely is not to be taken as a lighter one. And definitely anyone in her place would have faced the same treatment from the head of the family, only thing I wished is khushi must have got some support from her uncle or payal .

Absolutely AGREE with you. Im sure that whatever i say wont match up to how you have described and written above since youve done a great job at exactly putting forward youre thoughts, but seriously, Khushi's character has been protrayed beautifully. And theres still so much hidden and left to be discovered, and these test of love and time will continue to happen and will only make Khushi stronger and same goes for Arnav. Though their ideologies are different and opposite, they both are lonely and only the other one can fulfill that spot in each other lives. Definetely excited for this show, great acting, great story, and just PERFECT show :)

Oh yeah one more thing, I really did expect SOMEONE to stand up for Khushi when everyone was just bomboarding her, but a great dissapoint. She REALLY is alone. Well I hope things will change in the future...the precap is someting that Im definitely EXCITED for haha! Khushi with the Chappals...haha!
Great post alltogether once again :)
- Dee

Thank you, Dee. Why do you say that? You have written it so well. I agree with you that loneliness is AK's common meeting ground. They both will soon know that the other one is just as lonely as their own self. Khushi's family is a disappointment. Right now, at least. 😊

Pocu!!! Lovely post!!

I so agree. My heart went out to Khushi today.
Poor girl. Seriously... First, the things that happened at the fashion show.
After that, things actually got worse, when she was accused by her own family of deliberately trying to break her sister's marriage, as the bua said.

Nobody to stand by her, nobody to understand why she did what she did, and nobody to comfort her. When she needed it the most. Cause already, she was feeling extremely guilty when she found out that the marriage had been called off. But even then, bringing up the fact that she wasn't their real daughter and what she did proved that she wasn't their blood. Plus, the glares and remarks by the neighbours. And finally, her own mother snatching away her right to call her ammi.

I agree on the Payal bit too. I wish she'd tried convincing her parents that Abhishek wasn't the right husband for her, and what Khushi did was only for her.

I love Khushi's character for still being able to smile, to stand up for herself even after all she's been through. Yes, she's smiling at the outside, but she needs someone who understands her and makes her happy on the inside as well. Someone who makes her feel loved, who gives her the sense of belonging.

ya i think they will but khushi character is totally diff from geet
geet with shy and didnot have courage in start
but khushi right from beggining knows that she has to stand for the right...it was very couragous of her to go like that on wedding day to meet her jeeju
hope they turn her character into strong one...by the way i loved her acting
