I have always had the impression that firsts episodes (especially of Indian dramas) are very slow that take a lot on unnecessary times for introduction, extremely crappy pace and a very forgetable experience. But not this time! Never in my LIFE have I seen such an amazingly fast-paced, captivating episode. From the first second the show started to the end, my eyes were glued to the screen. For the first time, I had more thinks to like in the epi rather than dislike.

1) Bua's dance! (kya thumke the!)
2) Khushi's dress (mixed with white joggers, my Mamma went, "Huh?" seeing that 😛)
3) The bike with milk containers
4) A very joyful wedding (with the cliched problems for Banno ki family)
5) The Dabanng ringtone (I was ROFLing as I heard that! 🤣 Way to go Khushi! What a choice girl! 😉)
6) Arnav Singh Raizada (😍😍😍😍😍😍😍)
7) The poetry guy! (Okay people, I know everyone is gonna fight over Arnav but for him BACK OFF! He's mine!)
8) The dresses in the fashion show
9) Sheesh Mahal
10) Arnav's attitude
11) Arnav's care for his sister (times like these, I feel proud to have two brothers 😳)
12) The final moment! (like DUN DUN DUN!!!!!! It was sooo cliched but OMG! These two are HOT! ☺️)
13) No breaks 😛

In short, the entire epi was totally bangable! But my favorite part has to be in the fashion show when Khushi's closed her eyes and at the exact moment Arnav opened his'. GOSH! I am a sucker for such scenes! Like fate is showing that they are just MEANT TO BE! Oh God! I can't wait for the next episodes to air! I am feeeling so restless right now...!

Applause to the creative team of the show! Every second of the episode was praise-worthy! Would love to see all of it keep its standard in the coming days!

Honestly, I LOVED the epi.
And in case anyone had doubts that this show is typical, it's not.

It was fab! Will expand later!

Edit: My take!!

So, the first episode. Usually, first epis are pretty slow in terms of pace, cause most characters are introduced, their personalities, their traits, their families, everything is introduced. So nothing really happens in terms of development.

However, for me, this episode was one of the best first epis of any show.
The way the epi began, with the shots of Lucknow, the setting of the wedding, it looked beautiful.
Then, the way they showed the sisters' scene was lovely and so real. I loved Khushi's accent specifically, it's amazing to see how Sanaya picks up these small things so easily and makes them so believable.
The way she was introduced, the camera shots were so well done. No OTT bg, no OTT dialogues. She's Khushi, but she's not over-bubbly. No OTT lines.

Then coming to the song which they had for the sangeet, it was composed in a way that it was perfect for the occasion.

Barun's acting did impress me. The story associated with his coming back to Lucknow, the Sheesh Mahal's value for him, it was portrayed really well. And then, they showed Khushi and Arnav's totally opposite views in life. Khushi, on the one hand was going to speak to her sister's groom-to-be, to oppose the dowry demand, cause she felt that a man who doesn't have values isn't worth being with, while Arnav, evicts his own uncle from his ancestral house saying people who have morals are dumb. So, in one scene, their basic characters were brought through.

Next the scene between Daljit and Barun was lovely. The same shrewd, insensitive businessman was in tears seeing his sister. That scene was so naturally done. Amazing work by Daljit.
I hope they continue with these sibling scenes!

And of course, Sanaya-Barun looked great together. The last scene, again amazingly shot.
For me, the first epi had all it should. The actors are perfect for their roles, and each of them played their part really well. The scenes were subtle, and thank god for no OTT-ness. Dunno abt others, but I didn't realise when the epi ended. And considering the huge expectations I had, they've been met really well. So kudos to the CVs, the dialogue writers and the actors.

@ kawaii hime: Yep...i'm waiting for it to upload. Will watch it soon! And thanks again for the update.

@ Ishu: I've been saying this from day one...IPK cannot be a typical show...it has to stand out, and for that differentiation is needed. I hope that making unnecessary comprisons ends now.

Ashu, I know. This comparison has to stop. Cause honestly, IPK has it's own story. And the way they showed it today, it looked a pretty well-thought out story. No loopholes, no stupidity.
And the flashback bits, the mystery element behind Arnav's past, then the precap, it seems pretty intense.

Ishu...u're making me all the more excited. And, I was reading your take...Diya n I were discussing a few days back that if they handle the bro-sis bond properly, that cud be a very powerful track. After reading ur take...i'm glad that the CVs are thinking on those lines.
