{{RECAP: She took a rickshaw to the beach which was her favorite hangout place. She reached there soon and went and sat down on the sand. As she gazed at the setting sun, she realized that it was high time she too had someone special in her life. Now, even Payal had found herself a boyfriend. She closed her eyes and Shlok's smiling face swam into her mind's vision. A miserable smile appeared on her lips and she thought "Where are you Shlok? Won't I ever meet you again?". A small tear drop formed in the corner of her eye. Suddenly, she felt something hit the back of her head and she opened her eyes surprised at the sudden blow. She then found a ball lying in her lap and was delighted to realize that this was the same ball which had landed in her lap a few weeks ago. "Excuse me..could you please pass the ball.." This time it was not the voice of Kavya. She looked up at the direction of the voice and couldn't believe her eyes. She blinked away the tears in her eyes, just to make sure she was actually seeing what she saw. Yes, the man was Shlok itself..Shlok Agnihotri!! }}

Aastha just sat there itself, staring at Shlok, dumbfounded. She was stunned beyond limits. Shlok just remembered that this was the same girl that he had noticed the other day, the one whom he thought he knew.
S: Errr..Ball please..(Indicating her lap)..
But Aastha looked at the ball, which was lying in her lap, and again stared at Shlok.
A:(uncertainly) Errr..This ball is yours..??
In his mind, Shlok was debating with himself whether he should ask her directly if they knew each other or not. But before he could answer, Kavya came running towards them and took the ball from Aastha's lap...
K:Yes Auntie..This ball is ours..
A:Ohh..(She looked at Shlok and then at Kavya and again at Shlok)
K:(To Shlok) Come, let's go..(She took his hand and pulled)
Transfixed, Aastha watched Shlok and Kavya walking away hand in hand and lot of questions welled up inside her.."What is Shlok doing with this little girl, Kavya?" "Is she his daughter?""Oh my God!! Is he married ?" ..She felt as if her world was crashing and tears filled in her beautiful eyes.
Suddenly, she was surprised to hear a strong voice issuing from her mouth
A:(loudly and anxiously) SHLOK...(standing up)SHLOOOKK...
Shlok stopped in his tracks and turned back. He saw Aastha standing there as if she was about to cry. He walked back to her.
S:(feeling concerned) What happened..Why are you crying..? ...And how do you know my name..? Do I know you..?
Suddenly everything went dark around her

She felt water splashing on her face and someone patted her cheeks as if trying to wake her up .Slowly she opened her eyes, she saw Shlok's face. A faint smile appeared on her lips and she mouthed softly "Sh-lok". She looked around and saw Kavya's face , nearby. Suddenly everything came back to her as she regained her consciousness. She realized that her head was lying in Shlok's lap, then she looked around and saw a lot of people gathered around them to watch the scene. Understanding that she had fainted in front of Shlok, she tried to get up feeling embarrassed. Shlok offered to help her ,which she denied, and now she was back again on her feet. Shlok also got up and was feeling very much concerned about her.
S: Are you feeling alright..?
A: I am ok..(not looking at Shlok, overwhelmed by her feelings)
The on looking crowd slowly cleared away murmuring something or other. Aastha stood there unable to decide on where to start the conversation.
S: Shall I drop you home..I don't think it's wise for you to travel alone.
A: No No ..I am ok..(nervously shaking her head)
S: (seriously)Listen..I don't want to hear anything. You are just coming with us OK? Kavya beta, hold Auntie's hand and take her to our car.
A:(meekly nodding her head) O-k..
Kavya did as Shlok told and she led Aastha towards the car, and Shlok followed.

They all got into the car. Aastha and Kavya got into the back seat and Shlok into the driving seat. Soon the car was moving along the road. Shlok decided to ask Aastha the thing which was troubling him for so many days. He adjusted the rear view mirror in the front and looked at Aastha. She was gazing outside through the car's window.
S: By the way, you didn't tell me how you know my name..
Aastha knew this was coming and she too was ready with the answer. She didn't notice him looking at her through the rear view mirror and she looked at his side face and answered.
A: Err..actually I am Jyoti's friend. I have met you when I came to attend her wedding.
S:(turned around to face her) Ohhh...Now I know why I had a feeling that I have seen you somewhere. What is your name..?(again looking to the front to check the road)
A: Aastha..Aastha Dixit
S: Hmm..Where should I drop you then..?You didn't tell me where you are staying..
Aastha told him her address and he took the car along the direction of her apartment. But Aastha's mind was reeling. She needed to ask him a lot of questions. But it won't be safe to ask questions like.." Are you married?" or "Is Kavya your daughter?" etc. After all they were still acquaintances and barely knew each other to ask such personal queries. She decided to probe in a safer way..
A: Shlok..
S: Hmm..(tilting his face sideways as if listening to her and still checking the road )
A: Who is this little girl?
S: Kavya ..? Kavya beta..Tell Aunty who you are..
Kavya, who was not very much interested in the conversation which was going on, was looking outside the car window and enjoying the view. When she heard Shlok calling her name she turned around and began to talk in her sweet and adorable manner.
K:I am Shlok uncle's neighbor. He lives in a flat which is just next to our flat. My Mummy and Papa are always busy in the evenings. So Shlok uncle always takes me out. He takes me to whichever place I say to him. I love him very much.
Saying so, Kavya got up from her seat and hugged Shlok from behind. Aastha laughed for the first time in that day. She was relieved of all her misgivings and suddenly inhaled a fresh breath of happiness. All of a sudden she felt a lot of love to this cute little girl, Kavya.
They reached in front of her apartment and Shlok stopped the car.
S:Isn't this your apartment..?(turning around to her)
With a jolt in her stomach Aastha realized that Shlok was again going to move away from her life. Some kind of voice inside her head was advising her "Don't let him go Aastha..Don't let him go again"..Suddenly she decided to try her luck.
A: You both come into my home then..(sweetly)
S:No Aastha..It's already late. Kavya's parents will be looking for her..
A: (turned to Kavya instead)Kavya beta..You won't say NO for having an ice cream with Aunty..
K:(widens her eyes)Hawww..ICE CREAM..Which flavor??
A:(tickles her) Strawberry..!!
K:Shlok uncle..Come on na..It won't take much time..
S:(smiling)O.K baba..Ok..

nice update..astha fainted!! Poor soul what she ll do,after al these year of waiting,seeing him with a lil kid..?ashlok n ice cream,sure next update will b yummy..(u kno wat,am also having ice cream..)loved reading, do update next part soon tfd pm
