Sorry for not commenting for a while... Read the 2ch in one go..loved it, shlok is very lucky to have a girl like astha... N thanks for the pic, it made it easy for imagining ashlok , n the dance part was written very sensually... Shlok trying hard to accept his feeling s but our astha is irresistible... Loved the way astha asked him to b her friend...how long Mr.shlok agnihothri gonna run n hide...?waiting for the next update...

Aastha and Shlok came back and joined the party, unnoticed by the others. Kavya came running towards Shlok and upon seeing her Shlok smiled and took her in his arms..
K: Hello Shlok uncle..Where have you been? I was looking for you everywhere..(looks at Aastha) Hello Aunty..I was looking for you too..
A :(smiling sweetly) Why beta?
K: Because you both danced really nicely..I wanted to congratulate both of you..
A: Awww...So sweet of you beta..(touching Kavya's cheeks affectionately)
K :(excitedly) You are going to marry Shlok uncle no..That's why you both did couple dance..? I know..I know..
Hearing this, Shlok was surprised..
S:What??!!
A :(playfully talks)Not at all Kavya..Who told you all this..?
K: No one..!! I just know it..(turns to Shlok).Uncle, Mummy has told me a story of a prince, who danced with Cinderella and afterwards married her and made her his wife..Aastha Aunty is your Cinderella, Shlok uncle..I really love both of you..
And saying so, she reached for Aastha with both hands and hugs her.
S : (sweetly) Kavya.. Prince and Princesses are only in the stories..All these love stories are just non sense..You are my good girl ..Don't believe in all these stories..Ok beta..?
Aastha rolled her eyes at Shlok angrily..She took Kavya from Shlok's hands and kissed her cheek..
A: Kavya..Don't listen to him ok..You believe what you wish to believe..Ok beta..?(smiles)
K :(kisses Aastha's cheek) Ok Aunty..
A : (places Kavya back on the floor) Now you go and play with your friends ok..Bye..(waves her hand)
K: Byee..(runs away)
Aastha rounded upon Shlok and frowned at him..
A :(irritated) Shlok..She is a little girl..Why are you snatching away her tiny dream world..?
S: (seriously) Because there is no such thing called 'dream world' in this 'real' life..It will be better for her to understand it now itself..
A :(angrily rolls her eyes at him) Whatever Shlok..!!..Hmmph (and walks away from him)
S: Aastha..Aasthaa...(calls after her)
(makes an irritated face)...These girls are so stupid..!!(shakes his head unbelievably)

Shlok suddenly turned back when he felt someone patting his shoulder. It was Varad. He was having a mischievous smile on his lips.
V: What is going on my dear friend..?(smiling naughtily)
S: What do you mean..?
Varad started walking around Shlok and started singing in a low voice..
V:Hmmm..Do dil mil rahe hain magar chupke chupke..
Sabko ho rahe hain..khabar chupke chupke..
Shlok was surprised and gave Varad a dumb expression
S: What are you trying to say Varad..?That Me and Aastha...??..No way..!!(shaking his head) You must be crazy..!!
V: Hmmm..I can see who is crazy for whom, Shlok..!!Don't try to fool me..In fact, I think you are trying to fool yourself. You are not realizing that you are completely in love with that girl, Aastha..She is a nice girl Shlok..I am telling you..
S :(sighs) I know that she is a nice girl..But I am not ready for a relationship, Varad..
V :( shakes his head disbelievingly) You know what Shlok..!! It's high time you moved on in your life.. Life is giving you a second chance and you shouldn't be afraid to accept it..We all are with you Shlok..(squeezes his shoulder caringly)
S: (smiles) I know yaar...(hugs Varad tightly)
Varad walked away and Shlok said to himself "Whatever you say Varad, I won't let Aastha suffer.."

The party was over and all the guests had gone by then. The only people who remained in the hall were Payal, Rohan, their closest family members and then Shlok and Aastha. Varad had secretly asked Shlok to drop Aastha home. Shlok protested at first, but later he gave in to Varad.
Shlok approached Aastha and asked if he could drop her home. Aastha was a bit surprised and she agreed. Both of them walked up to Shlok's car and then Shlok opened the car's front door for Aastha and she got in and he got into the driver's seat and started the car. Aastha was feeling really very happy, but she didn't show it to Shlok.
As the car was moving along the road, the first few minutes passed between them without exchanging a single word. Neither of them knew how to start the conversation and each wished secretly that the other one would start talking something. After some time Aastha was fed up of the prevailing silence and decided to break the ice.
A: Shlok, do you like films?
S: Yeah..but only English..That too action films..
A: What..?You don't like Hindi films?
S: Too much drama yaar..I don't like it..
A: Whatever...!!(rolls her eyes)
S: (laughs) Don't tell me Aastha..You like Bollywood films..?
A : (excitedly) Of course I like them..I am an Indian and I lovvve Bollywood movies..(looks up dreamily)Especially romatic movies..(dreamily holds her cheek)Hayeee.. Shah Rukh Khan..I just love Shah Rukh..He is sooo romantic..!!(shrugs her shoulders in excitement)
Shlok looked at her feeling amused. He extended his hand, hit the back of her gently and exclaimed.
S: Ms. Drama queen..(smiling)
A: (makes an irritated face) And you are Mr. Boring..(hits his arm gently with her fist)
S: Youu..!!
Shlok got irritated at her comment and without thinking, he put his arm around her neck and tried to squeeze her neck gently. Her head was on his left side chest and she was struggling hard to breathe, and looked up at him making gentle protests..
A: Ooo...Sh-lok...Leave me...Mmm..
Then only he realized what he was doing. Shlok slowly loosened his grip, gazing intently at her face, finding it so close to his face. Feeling nervous at their closeness, Aastha took her head out of his arm, coughing and gulping, she rubbed her throat. Without looking at Shlok, she ran her fingers along her hair absent mindedly and looked out of the car window. Shlok was surprised by what he had just done and he too looked towards the road in the front without saying anything.
Suddenly the car came to a halt with a screech..Aastha was shocked and she turned towards Shlok.
A: What happened Shlok..?
S: Don't know..Let me see..
And then he tried to start the car again and again but attempts were futile..
S:Damn!!..(hits the car steering angrily)
Aastha looked around the place. They had reached the cut road leading to her apartment.
A: It's ok Shlok..My apartment is only at a ten minute walk-able distance from here..We can walk and then you can call Varad or Rohan from there and ask one of them to pick you up..
S: Hmm..Ok then..
Just as they were about to open the car doors, it started raining heavily..Shlok was about to open his mouth to swear angrily again. But then he saw Aastha taking out her umbrella and she opened the umbrella and got out of the car. He thought.. "what the hell is she doing??!!.." She came to his side and knocked loudly on his window glass pane.
A: Shlok..I have an umbrella..Come out..
She was shouting so as to be heard above the sound of the heavy rain..
S:(shouts from inside) What are you doing Aastha ?Come back and sit inside(frantically signals to come in)
He knew that they would get wet even if there was an umbrella. Aastha disregarded his protests and opened the car door from outside. Rain splattered inside; he forcefully closed the door asking her also to get inside. She got really agitated at his behavior and she started walking away holding the umbrella.
He watched her walking along the desolated pavement. Shlok got really angry at her behavior. He checked the time on his wrist watch. It was going to be 11 p.m. A chill feeling of terror bubbled inside his heart. What if something happened to her? Getting out of the car, cursing his fate, he ran after her and joined her under the umbrella. He saw that she was shivering due to the cold atmosphere.
S:(scolds her) Aastha..You are unbelievable..!!
A: Then what will I do..? Weren't you planning to stay all night in that car of yours?
Suddenly a car went screeching past them in a lighting speed. Aastha squeaked shrilly and jumped. Shlok was alarmed and suddenly put his arm around Aastha's shoulder and pulled her close to his side.
S: Now what happened to you Ms. Jhansi ki Rani..? Weren't you planning to walk all alone along this desolated lane?
Aastha was surprised and she looked into his eyes which were full of concern for her. Shlok's face was fully drenched and water was flowing down his hair all over his face. His rain-washed face glowed in the misty street lights. She knew it was her fault that he got drenched completely. But still, he looked even more handsome. She looked away, afraid that she might lose control over her decision to be "just friends".
But Shlok didn't take away his hand which was around her shoulder and they continued walking. Little did Aastha know that he too was secretly enjoying their rainy adventure..
