I didn't watch the show from Day 1 , caught it recently on TV . I found the Agni clan prominently Niranajan , Anjali and Shlock very interesting so I went back and watched from the start. 😉 What I did notice is that of late the writing seems to have been watered down.
Aditi was a character with scope with explored well but she turned out to be just like the usual vamps in Telly world. And please there is no way she is positive in any sense of the word!😡😡 Why did Shlock , Anjali and Niranjan have to be dumbed down to accommodate Aditi's "brilliance"😡In the earlier episodes the characters were well layered and of late (especially during the Aditi track ) they seem one - dimensional!😕😕 From posts on the forum I gathered that the original writers are no longer a part , hopefully they are brought back before the current lot mess it up completely.
Chithra, I was downloading some earlier episodes today from late September onwards for one of the VM I am planning to make. I realized that these scriptwriters were there at least from September 23 onwards (and maybe earlier). Some of the episodes at that time showed Swati's back story (Shlok searching for her, finding her and pleading with her and she calling him selfish and leaving him). They also showed conversation between Niranjan and Anjali which indicated Niranjan's involvement. So these writers were there at the time this was being shown.
So if they show something different now, then they are actually changing their own story. So these same writers actually did write some very good episodes earlier on. But they had done the same in previous serial too. They start well - the characterizations, the script etc. is pretty good but somewhere in the middle they lose steam and by the time it comes to finishing the track, they mess it up. I have seen on and off couple of shows of Spheres Origins - the PH. I have not seen this in their earlier works. So it has to be these writers who mess up their own stories.
I am waiting to see how they show Swati's back story to know whether if that story too is being changed now or they would again hint at Niranjan's involvement. I am ok if they show Astha and Shlok being unaware of it at this time because Niranjan is the main villain and his real face being shown to Astha and Shlok would be one of the latter tracks. It would also be a major track because Shlok would be (or should be) shown to have a major breakdown to find that his idol was such a dark person. But at least they should indicate in some way that Niranjan was the reason for causing misunderstanding between Swati and Shlok.
