"Kal karwachaut hai... Karvachaut ki vrat ek aurat ki zindagi mein bahot ehmiyat rakhti hai..." Anjali said in authoritative voice...
"Jee sassu bha..." Aastha replied in soft voice
Anjali continued her lecture and Aastha is just nodding head listening to Anjali... 10 more days are left for her marriage... After ten days she will become Mrs. Shlok Agnihotri... To reach most awaited moment in her life, she has to wait for ten more long days... Thinking about belonging to her Shlok bring a beautiful smile on her face, but thinking about living in that conservative family with so many rules and regulations make her sweat... She knows that it will be difficult for her to adjust in that family but for Shlok she can do anything because she has trust that Shlok will support her in all paths of her life...
"Mujhe pata hai, tumhari ayi ko yeh sabb samjhane ka waqt nahi hoga... Issi liye sab kuch mujhe samjhana pad raha hai..." Anjali said in dominating tone...
"Meri ayi mujhe sab kuch samjhati hai... karwa chaut ke bare mein aur woh ek suhagan ki zindagi mein kitna important hai, yeh bhi... Aapko agar takleef lagti hai toh mere liye aapko samjhane ki taqleef utane ki zaroorat nahi hai..." Aastha replied politely...
"Kya tumhare ayi, tmhe yeh nahi samjhati ki badon se zuban nahi ladate..." Anjali said controlling her raising temper...
"Meri ayi mujhe yeh samjhati hai ki agar badon ko koi baat pe galatfaimi hai usse dur karna bachon ke liye galat baat naho hoti hai..." Aastha replied confidently...
Before Anjali could say anything Shlok came there from upstairs...
"Aastha tum abhi tak yahi ho...??? Ghar nahi gayi...???" Shlok questioned..
"Jaa hi rehti Shlok..." Aastha replied...
Anjali in high pitched tone, "Apne pati ko kabhi naam se nahi bulate hai, Samaan se Saheb kehke bulate hai... Yeh baat bhi samjhana padega...?? Yeh baat bhi nahi sikhaya umhari ayi ne...???"
"Meri ayi ne mujhe yeh sikhaya ki Pati ke liye samaan bulane ki tareeqe mein nahi, pyaar mein aur dil mein honi chahiye..." Aastha replied in her own way...
Before Anjali could say anything... Shlok interrupted there conversation... "Mujhe Aastha Shlok kehke hi bhulayegi... iss mein kisi ko koi taqleef hai toh I can't help it... Chalo Aastha..."
Both Aastha and Shlok left from there leaving burning Anjali... Sojal dared to put some oil in that fire..."Bauji toh abhi se Aastha ki sari baat mane lage... Shaadi ke baad kya hoga..." Anjali one serious and warning look made Sojal to back off her over using intelligence...

Car:
"Kya hua Aastha...??? Tumhari mood off kyun hai...??" Shlok enquired in concerned tone to Aastha, driving his car...
"Mein aapki ayi ke bare mein soch rahi thi... Woh mujhe kuch bhi kahe mein chup chaap sunlungi, par meri ayi ko beech mein layenge toh mein chup nahi reh sakti hoon..." Aastha answered in low and sad tone... "Aapke ayi bahot ajeeb hai..."
"Tum bhi bahot ajeeb ho... Mein tumse kitne baar kaha ki jab hum saath mein hai toh hum kisi aur ke bare mein baat nahi karenge... Mainly Mrs. Anjali Agnihotri ke bare mein..." Shlok said in irritated tone...
"Ok baba... Sorry..." Aastha said catching her ears with both her hands...
"Toh tum kal karwa chaut ka wrat rakhogi aur mere liye sare din bhooki rahogi..." Shlok asked her...
"Hmmm... Aapke lambi umar ke liye mein kuch bhi kar sakti hoon..." Aastha answered in caring tone...
"Yeh sabb Bakwass hai Aastha... Mein yeh sab nahi manta hoon... Tum bhooki rahogi toh mera umar kaise badega, ulta tumhari tabiyat karab hojayegi... Issi liye tum aisa kuch nahi karoge..." Shlok confirmed and brought his car to halt infront of Aastha's house...
Aastha smiled and stepped out of the car... She saw one girl planting a small plant in a garden... She came to Shlok and knocked on his window... He pulled glass down... She pointed her finger towards a plant which is green and covered with flowers...
She said, "Woh dekho Shlok, waha ek flower plant dikh raha hai na, woh kuch mahine pehle murja gayi thi... Yaha har week ek gardener aakar gardening karta hai... usne kaha ki uss plant ko nikalke woh naya plant dalega kyun ki yeh murja hua plant kuch din baad marjayegi..."
"Lagta hai woh jhoot bol raha tha.. yeh plant toh healthy hai..." Shlok countered...
Aastha smiled and said, "Woh galat nahi tha Shlok, woh plant mar jata, par ussi samai waha ek bacchi ake boli ki woh iss plant ka khayal rakhegi aur isse please matt nikalna, toh gardner ne uss bachi ki kushi ke liye kuch din uss muuja hue plant ko wahi chod diya... Who choti si ladki har din aake uss plant ko pani deti ti, iss barose ke saath ki woh plant phir se healthy hojayegi, iss umeed ke saath ki woh bahot sare flowers degi... Abhi dekho uss plant ko kitne sare flowers hai..."
"Tum kehna kya chahte ho...?" Shlok questioned...
"Agar hum kisi cheez pe bharosa rakh ke kuch karenge toh woh zaroor hoga... Mein bhagwaan pe bharose rakh kar karwa chaut karungi iss umeed se ki aapke lambi umar hogi..." Aastha answered...
Shlok said, "Toh iska matlab yeh hai ki, mera umar woh plant hai... aur tumhari bagwaan pe bharosa paani..."
"Kya baat hai aapki bhi dimaag chal rahi hai..." Aastha said in teasing tone...
"Acccha..." Shlok stepped out of car to catch her but she ran from there... Aasth before stepping into her house looked at Shlok, she made a funny face and ran away from their...

Next Day: Early Morning:
All the ladies in Kirloskar and Agnihotri's house woke up early in the morning... They did pooja and ate there sargi...
Kirloskar's House:
"Pura din ke liye abhi khalo, pura din toh bhuki rehne wali ho apni honewale pati ki lambi umar ke liye..." Ajju said in teasing tone...
Aastha blushed, "Ajju..."
"Sirf kuch hi din yaha rahegi... Kuch din ke baad sasural chalejayegi... Khane peene ka dyaan tab kud rakhna hoga... issi liye mein ne iss baar vrat rakhne ke liye mana kiya tha... Shaadi ke baad rakh sakte ho na..." Kalindi, Aastha's mother said in caring tone...
"Ayi please abhi tum senti matt hona..." Aastha said controlling her own emotional tears...
"Ha Kalindi... Abh senti hoke kya karenge, Aastha toh abhi se uss ghar ki bahu ban gayi hai... Kabhi 10 baje se pehle nahu utne wali Aastha... Aaj vrat ke liye subha subha utt gayi..." Ajjun said teasing Aastha...
"Vrat ke liye nahi Ajju, khane ke liye... Din bhar khane ke liye kuch milne wala jo nahi hai..." Aastha winked at her Ajju...

Afternoon: Aastha's Room:
Aastha answered her continuously ringing phone... It is Shlok who is restlessly and continuously calling...
"Aap itna continously kyun call kar rahe hai...??" Aastha questioned without even saying hello to her would be husband...
"Khana khaya...??" Shlok enquired about her lunch...
"Aapko pata hai na aaj Karwachauth hai toh mein khana kaise kha sakti hoon..." Aastha explained...
"Mein kaha na vrat na rakhne ke liye..." Shlok said in high pitched caring voice...
"Aur mein ne bhi kaha hai ki mein aaj vrat rakhungi..." Aastha countered in same tone...
"Toh pakka tum aaj khana nahi khane wali ho...???" Shlok questioned...
"Ha... Jab tak mein chaand ko dekh kar aapni vrat nahi kholti hoon, tab tak mein kuch kha, peene wali nahi hoon..." Aastha said firmly...
Shlok disconnected call... But Aastha heard his voice...
"Toh abhi vrat khol lo..." Shlok said which startled Aastha...
Aastha turned and got shocked seeing Shlok standing in her balcony... She ran to him and said in tensed tone.. " Aap yaha kya kar rahe hai...?"
Shlok answered. "Tumhara vrat kholne aaya hoon..."
"Vrat kholne...!!! Tum pagal hogaye kya...??? Vrat chand ko dekh kar khola jata hai..." She replied in a surprised tone...
"Mein sach bol raha hoon..." Shlok said and took her to mirror and made her stand before mirror... "Dekho mera chaand ko... Kitna sundar hai na... Iss chaand ko dekh kar vrat khlo lo..."
"Shlok tum pagal hogaye ho..." Aastha said smiling...
Shlok in intense tone "Mera chaand tum ho... Mujhe ksi aur chaand ki zaroorat hi nahi hai..."
Aastha smiled and turned towards him... She hugged him and he hugged her back... They shared a warm hug... Shlok broke hug and said, "Chalo abhi khana kha lo..."
"Mein ne kaha na, mein nahi khane wali hoon..." Aastha said firmly...
"Bahot ziddi hona..."
"Ha.. Aap pehle yaha se jayiye... Koi dekh lega..."
"Mein apni hone wali patni se mine aya hoon... Koi dekhega toh kya farak padega..."
"Accha iss liye balcony se aaye hai..."
"Tum phone nahi uta rahi toh mein yaha se aagaya..."
"Abb aap jayiye yaha se..."
Aastha pushed him till balcony...
"Kudki hone wale pati ko room se nikal rahe ho... Shaadi ke baad jab tumhare kare mein aaunga na, tum mujhe nahi bej paugi..." Shlok said teasing her...
"Tab dekhlenge abbjayiye..." Aastha said looking at him...
Shlok got down with the help of pipe and went to his car... Befor getting into his car he looked at Aastha and sent her a kiss in air... Aastha caught in her warm palms... Shlok left from there, Aastha turned and blushed... She became a red tomato thinking about Shlok...

Evening: Agnihotri Mansion:
For the first time Aastha reached on time with her family... Aastha wore red color saree with green border... Anjali gave them a cold welcome... Ajju and Kalindi went with Kalindi... Aastha's eyes started searching for Shlok... She couldn't find him anywhere... Her gaze fell down, when she started to move, she felt grip on her hand... Her heart skipped a beat... Her heart knows who it is... He came more close to her... She could feel his breathe on her neck... She tried to move away from him but he held her back...
"Aap yeh kya kar rahe ho...??? Koi dekh lega..." Aastha said in shy voice...
"Tum mujhe doond rahi thi na...??" Shlok questioned making his eyes close-set...
"Mein aapko... Nahi toh..." Aastha stammered...
"Jhoot matt bolo..." Shlok said countering her...
Aastha stood there blushing with her hand in Shlok's hand... Aastha to get relieved from him said, "Ayi..." Shlok released her hand from his hand and looked around... Aastha walked from there... Aastha looked back and smiled... Shlok understood that she tricked him...

After Pooja everyone went to terrace waiting for moon... Shlok came to Aastha and whispered, "Mera chaand humesh available hai..." Aastha blushed...
Moon made his way out of black clouds spreading its moonlight all over... Aastha did Pooja to moon and to Shlok... She raised her channi and looked moon through it and then Shlok's face... After that Shlok with his hands made Aastha to drink water and feeded her sweet... They stood there looking at each other after Pooja when Sojal came there and took Aastha with her saying Anjali is calling them...

Shlok and Aastha are stealing glances... Shlok found right time and pulled Aastha aside... He cornered her...
"Aap yeh kya kar rahe hai...??" Aastha questioned...
"Auraten sab ek jaise hot hai na, sirf apnea apse matlab hai... tumhari vrat khul gayi aur mera kaun kholega...??" Shlok said faking anger...
"Tumne vrat rakha...?? Mere liye...??" Aastha questioned with surprise displayed on her face... Shlok nodded in yes...
"Par tum toh inn sabb mein vishwass hi nahi rakhte ho...??" Aastha questioned him again...
"Tum toh rakhte ho, Aur mein tumse pyaar karta hoon... Tumhe jis mein vishwas hai uss mein mujhe bhi hai..." Shlok said looking into her eyes...
"Aap mujhse jitna pyaar karta hai yeh mehandi bata rahi hai, dekho kitna gehra rang aaya hai..." Aastha said looking into his eyes... Aastha got lost in his intense eyes...
"Vrat khole...??" Shlok said pointing sweet in his hand... Shlok took sweet from his hand and feeded him... They shared a warm lovely hug... Aastha broke hug asking, "Meri gift kaha hai...???"
Shlok rolled his eyes... Aastha said disappointed, "Laana bhoolgaye na...??"
Shlok smiled and took two bangle out of his sherwani pockets... He helped Aastha wear them... Shlok said, "Mein kud ke liye bhool sakta hoon, par tumhara pehla karwa chauth ka gift kaise bhul sakta hoon..." Aastha blushed...
"Mera bhi pehla karwa chauth hai, mer gift kaha hai...??" Shlok questioned...
Aastha disappointedly said, "Mein toh kuch laaya hi nahi..."
Shlok smiled and said, "Phir bhi tum mujhe kuch de sakte ho..."
Aastha surprisely asked, "Kya...??"
Shlok kissed Aastha, signifying it as his Karwa chaut's gift...
