Misti, I like your analysis. I forgot to write about Avdhut. He is indeed a simple person who has middle class values. So like a typical father, he was ecstatic about her interview offer. That was a nice scene.
Also, I too liked that mud scene mostly because of Shlok's expressions. This kind of scenes are regular fare for love stories. But the treatment was really different and that's why they were hilarious. Also another different treatment is that Shlok is not even mildly attracted to Astha which is usually how it is shown in other love stories. Here he genuinely wants her to stay away from him. It is her persistence and interference that will give him ideas about revenge.

Incidentally, the credits still show Arshad as the director. Probably the upcoming rain sequence is going to be the first scene directed by Waseem unless there is a lag in credits and shooting.

Wow, I did not realise that the Agnihotri family didn't like him. I just thought it was Shlok/Varad only. But now that I read your post, it makes so much sense! Even I was wondering.. they did not even ask about their daughter. And her ill health..that it is interesting. I feel like he's going to play a major part in Shlok/Aastha's lives. Esp. the way he looked on when they were talking. The way the camera focused on him as a 3rd party when they were talking. Or maybe I am thinking too much.
As I watch the show each day, I am starting to realise that this show is more about the dark/convoluted Agnihotri family than Shlok/Aastha's love story. Also, after a very long time, I am watching a show where I enjoy watching the family scenes as much as the romance, in fact even more at times :)

And Myra.. how do you come up with such interesting titles?
Miss Nosey is a good name for Aastha. I shall call her that from now on. She is subconsciously getting interested in Mr doesn't-give-a-shit 😆 I guess he's just so different from all the ppl she has met, so there is sth that makes her curious about him. But Miss Nosey better stop. She's getting herself in some deep shit that she is unaware of.
She thinks that she knows him but well, she doesn't. He is much more convoluted/dark than she thinks he is - not some petty person who will take revenge for an insult/for her rejecting him.

Samridhi (hope that I have got your name right) you did get my name right. The Agnihotris do not like him and the way they showed him today, it seems that this guy is not someone on whom one can depend on. The scene that you are talking about...he looked very happy when Shlok reduced the number of days from 20 days to 10 days. Why will anyone be happy when some elderly people are being forced to move. Shlok was not happy. He was not taking any pleasure from all this and in fact told them that an alternate accomodation has been arranged. He did not even want to go. You are right about the plot...this show is more about the Agnihotris and they will be needed to give the love story its twists and turns. There might be another reason why the scenes involving the Agnihotris are attracting so much attention...all the actors enacting the characters of the family members are very good.Shrenu has to buck up and improve her acting...Avinash completely dominates her in their scenes. Even in the scenes with the parents...the actors enacting the roles of Astha's parents dominate her.

@Misti,
1. The mud scene was very well executed even though it had no lines..their expressions helped in delivering the message..indeed shloks face suggested his wonder and confussion with ashtas behaviour..i liked how he made a fist like controling his anger.
2. Good observation abt shloks assistant, i didnt understand his lines..but yes its ashtas fault he took this decision..
Its true shes the only one thats having dreams, it means he really affects her..So u think shes seeking his attention..now that i think about it in her "dream" she was asking for his reaction so you may be right..
I too liked ashta beliving its a dream..i liked shrenu's laugh..it looked very natural
3. The fire hot kings dint like the new guy that i noticed..but anjali, u read her well shes was being just a good host!
Abt the daughter, i am thinking since this family treats the girls so weirdly its not surprising they dnt ask abt the girl..maybe shes a rebel too, who knows..
4. Misti, i too smiled when i saw Ashtas dad reaction..it reminds me of my dad, he reacts the same with my success..one time when i told him abt me passing an exam with high score he forgot he was talking with me on the phone..he went on bragging to his friends.. and i was like:" dad..what r u doing, i am still here you know..daad!"😆

The 10 post limit is seriously annoying! 😡

Miss Nosey is perfect for our lovable Aastha.😆 The new dhamaad guy is also interesting. Gotta say all the characters that are introduced all have so much past to tell us, cannot wait to see why everyone is the way they are. Myra - Apt name is apt! @ The Three Fire Hot Kings.👏😆

I liked how Aastha was full of laughter innocently thinking - "seeing Shlok again can become a reality only in a dream"... but then bam a rain drop (could also be depicted as a tear drop) stole away her naive laughter and dragged her dizzily to the real world.

Shlok is emotional and concerned about the Ashram but like always when hindering emotions are welling, he actually bottles them and rationalizes with business and cold-blooded-logistics. More and more he seems to be a victim of his upbringing. Imagine him been brought up by Aastha's family, I bet he would be UNICEF-ing Africa 24/7.😆

Will add more later, gonna read the whole thread now. YAY!

Misti/Myra, I quit this game. You guys are not playing fair.

Myra, where is that rhombus and diagonal lines you used to have. I want that back. I want geometrical diagrams representing Astha/Shlok rather than these animal cartoons.

I was freaked out when he smiled lol. No I wasn't referring to the scene where he smiled. There was this bit when Shlok tells Aastha that 10 days is probably too much & that she didn't even give him enough time. Then, the camera focused on the SIL for a short while & he walked away. Maybe I am reading into it too much.
Shrenu definitely needs to improve & like someone rightly pointed out, she needs to stop opening her mouth all the time. That's like her reaction to everything. I expected more from her given that she's played lead in 2 shows prior to this & I've seen some episodes of both her previous shows & she was pretty decent there. I guess Aastha is quite a different character from what she's played so far. But she's improving so I am not complaining :)

Samridhi/Misti,
I agree with both of you that it seems more like a story of Shlok and his family to me than just a love story between Astha/Shlok. In fact, I am more intrigued by this family. I am watching it as Shlok's story and he is the one who intrigues me most followed by Niranjan & Varad and then Anjali.

As far as Shrenu vs. Avinash are concerned, I agree that Shrenu needs to improve. In both mud scenes and that gate scene, I liked those scenes more because of Avinash's expressions as Shlok. And the parents definitely dominate Astha's scenes. Yesterday it was Prachi (Kalindi - Astha's mother) that came out on top.

There was chemistry between Astha/Shlok in that mud scene, but it was mostly because of Avinash's expressions. Some of us have already seen Avinash's chemistry with his previous co-star. In order to get that kind of chemistry, Shrenu needs to make more effort. Though I will say that she has been improving. Lookwise, she suits Astha's role. She just needs to make more effort to match Avinash.

enjoyed reading all your thoughts - dont have anything new to add

Misti ... lovely picture ... good depiction of the relationship between the two of them - did not pick up on anjali's not liking the SIL till you mentioned it

Angie, seriously Dolphin???🤣 i am not an animal person but ...

love watching the family dynamics esp the agnihotri household ... great name for the 3 males Myra. Love the way Niranjan controls the entire family - the greyness in his nature makes him very interesting ... but i think both he and his wife are in it together and run the household to control their family - hope they show the back drop of their love affair 😳

todays scenes were funny and am so glad that there were no eyelocks or romantic music ... avinash's expressions were terrific throughout the episode ... aastha was cute in the first scene where she was wondering if she was imagining him

we all know that shlok's character is not perfect and that they will show his journey coming back from the dark side... but i hope they show aastha coming to some self realizations of her own ... not everything revolves around her or her beliefs or value systems
