Yup Advay has had a complex life... so accordingly he has a complex personality... he's the outcome of Chiku(influenced by Maa Baba and Naani), Advay (influenced by life's tragedies and maasi), Dev ( the inborn character kept on by love for Chandu and then brought actively alive by swagwali Chandu), Bhaiyya ( the care and concern for his sis and bro that shapes part of his personality)...and CM (the love he has for his own Aadi) ...Last 2 aspects coming up in next chapter 😉 keep watching😃)

Advay is an enigma for Chandni ... it will take her time to understand her man... She's moving towards it step by step.

Chandni thinks simply and lives simply... That's why Dev tells her in this episode, "life is not as simple and innocent as you think"... She's been just blind in her parent's love... she's the type to avoid conflict... she doesn't ever question why her mother is two faced... could she have some ulterior motives in mind...She's been thinking of Dev but has never dared to question her mother about Dev... so she's the kind of a personality "what I don't see, doesn't happen in the world at all."... the typical conflict avoidance personality... so she chills off when she comes to know unpleasant things about her husband... he has to urge her into asking, questioning, fighting for her rights...As Dev says, She accepts defeat easily when she chills off, and her accepting defeat is his getting defeated.

Though this chapter is short, the aspects of their characters have come out well, I choose to believe😉

who brushes matters under the carpet

and avoids the elephant in the room

I know some one like her from my class

And I think people with low confidence are like that ?

they don't have the urge to fight for their rights at times

they just let themselves be dominated

I love all the aspects of Dev you stated

Of course this chapter is more of a character analysis

and needless to say I loved it

Partly yes! Why did she not ever think or question why was she sent away to Banaras... why was dev's entire family gone missing without any trace of anybody...so kind of brushing the matter under the carpet.

it's not that she doesn't have detective edge( as she goes to his guest house to check whether she can get some clue) but she does not put it to use with rational thinking about her kidnap... if she was not touched, no ransom was demanded then why was she kidnapped... who could have been responsible for it... why her mother had not searched frantically for her...

Neither does she put it to use to find out about Dev's disappearance, not even when he says "tumne meri jindagi barbaad kar dee"...she never tries to find out why is he doing all this to her...So kind of avoiding the elephant in the room.

Now i just loved there talk.. indiscretion, honesty & trust is most important in any relationship.. good to see both of them working towards it.. i agree with u more than advay's colourful past, its chandani's insecurities which comes into play. Also how he behaved during sasha's time also doesn't help at all.. having said that i also thinks that since from forever she believed dev to b only hers.. so no matter how much justified reasons r, whether it is only past now or its just physical, this had to prick her heart somewhere.. that is totallynormal..

Now I don't think chandani run away from her problem.. even if this is d case than how she had spend her last 16yrs should b taken into consideration.. she was not living on bed of roses with indrani. If advay's past has shape up him to b what he is than immense pain & hatred on day to day basis coupled with society's cruelty shape up chandani to what she is.
