I completely agree on that it didn't deserve the amount of backlash it received at all! Especially before inception, I do get the sentiments and feelings of ipk 1 fans but this was completely uncalled for especially since the two seasons had nothing in common from whatever I've seen of both. Even SP didn't give it a live proper chance to flourish, and the cancelation hasn't helped in any way either as SP has dropped to four on the TRP chart.
Exactly there was nothing common in both the seasons so the show need not have been judged that harshly. SP was the one who was adamant on naming it IPK3 so they should have bucked up and given it more time to get the ratings.I don't understand the sentiments of IPK1 fans - Sorry they and exlead along with her fans acted as if Gul stole something from them and is doing a new show. Isn't the concept Gul's in the first place? So doesn't she own the copyright for the show and the name and everything else? Don't the fans know how the copyright works in real world ?
I kind of see why the team pulled the plug off the show. No person deserves to be abused that bad for doing a show. Every day there was a new rumor - sometimes it was Barun being written bad about, sometimes it was Shivani, Sometimes it was Gul. People went as far as calling Shivani Prostitute on her Instagram account - That was lowest I have seen anyone ever stoop down too. How long can they keep on doing a show with that much negativity swirling around it - That is why they must have decided to wind down and pull off the show. SP sucked up the losses and allow the cast to go free. But yes since all of them were professional enough there was no blame game involved this time around and it was a simple statement given for the closure. There are lot of shows that were going less than SP in TRPs but still IPK3 even after being number 1 Online was pulled off. The last episode of IPK3 has 1500+ comments on HS page.
Now if the new &TV show becomes a hit then SP can sit and figure out what kind of foolish people were they that they killed a good show by being adamant about naming it IPK. The tracks for the last 4 episodes were really good and if a decent writer writes those tracks the show will be a hit. The common people never had any issue with the show but the over zealous IPK fans spammed and created negativity for the show even before it went on air and that made many neutral people to not even give the show a chance. And whoever gave it a chance - the costume designers and the pathetic screenplay writer made them leave it midway. I won't solely put the whole blame on the negativity for the show going down but yes majority of the blame does go to the over zealous people who found everything and anything an issue in the show.
