Oh many of us haven't still been able to get over the news of IPK3 going off air 😭

But I'm really overwhelmed that inspite of being kind of sad how practical he is 👏

Here's what he said :

The actor is completely unfazed by the maker's decision to pull the plug on Season 3 of the TV franchise

With the show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 going off air this month due to low TRPs, its male lead Barun Sobti is a little sad. Barun, who returned to the hit TV franchise after a season's gap in the new angry young man avatar of Advay Singh Raizada, said they worked hard on the show.

Yes, I am kind of sad. It's our thing. We really worked hard on it. You can't help but be sad about it. But it's okay. It's a part of the game.

Though there was a lot of buzz surrounding the return of the show, within a few episodes, people started comparing it with its first season, and said it failed to recreate the magic. "Yes, I am kind of sad. It's our thing. We really worked hard on it. You can't help but be sad about it. But it's okay. It's a part of the game," Barun told T2 Online in an interview.

Barun also said that he is over it now and that such things (a show going off air) happen when you are a part of the showbiz game.

However, the actor, whose film Tu Hai Mera Sunday released on October 6th, is clueless about what went wrong with the show. "I don't know yaar, Hume pata hota toh hum correct nahi kar dete? It's a simple thing in the creative world. Sometimes people like something, sometimes they don't. It's only fair, I think. Everyone should get their chance."

Barun signed off, saying that the audience is the king. "There should be another show in the place of a soap if it's not working out. People have the right to watch what they want to watch," he added.

I tell you he is so down to earth and practical.

But it is true that they did work very hard to make it work.

Especially when it was flooding in Mumbai, the wedding sequence it was raining cats and dogs and these guys were still shooting. Bless them,

Its ok if it didnt work, i think the channel is also to blame to some extent, as they wanted to see instant results and meddled a lot with the story.

So good at least Barun can be back with something that he believes in, so i am glad the hype is over alongiwth the BRAND !!!

Thank god now no one will ever utter the word IPK anymore, IT IS AS DEAD AS A DODO !!! So well done GUL AND TEAM !! THIS WAS NEEDED TO ALLOW EVERYONE TO MOVE ONE AND TO START TO LIVE THIER LIVES !!! 👍🏼

Yes Chitra they worked hard and tried their best to make it work
But SP had poked in its nose a lot and too many cooks spoil the broth
I hope IPK brand is over now and hope no one will try to make part 4
SP should not have named it part 3 in the 1st place

You always get the best of the best interviews of his. If you take up journalism, you would be hit success! 😉

Our Munda is king of expressions as such, now he is become king of public statements as well. I suppose life does teach a lot.

His statement is so right. Worse plotlines than this show worked for IB. But TRP janata went against this story. After all viewers are the kings!

Partly, it was star plus as well. They are extremely averse to any kind of wrong publicity. Lower TRP would not have been so much an issue for SP decision makers, as much as disgusting you tube videos that got created around low TRP issue.

Munda has learned a lot
and got good experience too
Not just janta things were too bad
Right before the show began bad times started
SP is largely at fault

Chitra di its not just the wedding sequence I was thinking even for the very first episode there was scorching heat in the month of May and they had to shoot all of it outdoors specially with Barun wearing 3 layered clothes 😲

And the episode was rather overdramatic but all of them worked like hell hard to make it look good rather kind of filmy.

I remember that one scene where Barun was walking with his guitar and there were about 50 little boys walking after him all painted in blue like Shiva 😲 Anybody can say that the whole team worked extremely hard to make the whole thing look good but always hard work doesn't yield expected results

And you're right about IB plotlines. It doesn't really have anything solid but its still working.

Its just the audience that's it nobody knows what clicks and what doesn't
