Hi all,
I watched today's episode and am really feeling disappointed that the show did not get its due.

It had a good concept...! I would have loved to see it play out in its due course without a premature wrap up...

Feeling cheated as a viewer...we got only a cursory glimpse of what was in store...😕

Here is what I wrote on another post regarding the pace of the story today and how it was wrapped up...

I really think Indian soaps should go on a fixed length season concept with a predetermined number of episodes for the season. VIewers deserve to see the story which is paced adequately and told in the way it was intended to be told.

TRP Ratings ought to considered for renewing the season not changing the direction and the content of the story on an every day basis and pulling the show off with two weeks of notice...,what an unorganized and haphazard way to manage anything!! 😕

Copying and pasting from another thread...

Like I said...real mismanagement of expectations and deleivraables at all fronts! If the number of episodes are decided before hand and the schedule for making a decision to renew or not is also done on a schedule, preferably after the end of a season not haphazardly in the middle...having the entire season filmed before hand would not be needed...The amount of banked episodes can also be preagreed and be spelled out in a contract ...with suitable remedies for breaching the contract terms by either party...

@EW...fully agree with you!

I agree with you Sush - The story was awesome and had they not gone for this rushed ending we would have gotten really good show. I really don't understand SP and Gul. SP went with the name tag and title even when they know how the fandom is going to react and Gul trolled the bashers instead of concentrating on her show. They were in a hurry to get the show on air and now they are in a hurry to make the show go off air too. I mean what is the mad rush. Definitely TRPs are not the reason for this because the other shows have fluctuating TRPs but IPK3 is number 1 hit in online media and has steady 1.1 TRP. They could have given the show 1 - 2 months more to stabilize given that they had so much story left. But chalo jo hota hain aache ke liye hota hain. I hope the PH and channel understand where they went wrong because the concept was fabulous and the actors were so aptly cast and were delivering even with the constant bashing. They had a superb show in their hands and they squandered it. But anyways if this means more introspection on part of Channel and PH then I will be happy because no actors be it Barun, Shivani, Ritu, Sameer or Mithali or the supporting cast deserve to be treated like this where in they couldn't even get to play out the part they were promised. That is what I really feel bad about.

Coming to the story - Part of me is glad that they are closing all the loops but I so wished they showed the bracelet guy, keychain guy and other villains too but with time constraint I guess they are just wrapping the story up. Like wise Chandu's kidnapper and PTSD was also a sensitive topic and would have been good to see Dev thrashing the guy responsible for causing distress to Chandni.

I am really sad that this potential passionate story got reduced to a 70 episodes and Gul needs to fire Harneet if instead of giving a proper closure to the story when the off-air news was announced Harneet gave us Sasha track and wasted 10 episodes on the stupid track. Yeah classic case of missed opportunities

I really hope something good comes to all the cast members because they were so so professional in this whole circus. I am glad that Barun's THMS is getting rave reviews by critics and he is being talked about as the central character in the film. One part of me is glad that with the show ending he is at least able to soak in the praise and enjoy the attention. I hope the critics ratings translate to good business in India and overseas. Keeping fingers crossed.

PS: - THMS is releasing in AMC theatres in US so check out if THMS is listed in AMC theatre near to you.

HI PS...If the show was planned for 3 months from the beginning ...and the story was told the way it was meant to be told...it would have been a different thing...Now...it just feels totally mismanaged.
While in India, I watched a few Pakistani serials that work on the fixed length concept with a preconceived story ...which is what they deliver...

The content stays good because they are not just filling the episodes and changing everything as they go based on day to day TRP ...

I think it's ok to have a 3 or 4 month long show...if it is planned and executed that way...What we have now is a totally willy-nilly attempt...where everything is in the air...all the time...which is not satisfactory...

They planned it for a year Sush but I don't know what happened later on. Since they planned for a year long they kept all the tracks to be opened later. The off-air news has been real sudden. So they just are winding down the show. What I feel is maybe they were feeling that with the constant negativity it was not worth the effort to keep the show alive and struggle to get TRPs. So they decided to close it off and move on to something better. But the PH needs to understand that they can't blame negativity or stress on things not working out - They need to understand the execution of the show failed and the sad part is the show actually had a good concept and the team couldn't translate it to a hit show.

IPK3 must be the first show that had a good concept and good actors with good channel backing but yet the team faltered. The whole responsibility for the show ending goes to the technical team. I really hope Gul takes stock of the situation because if this is the way she works then she can't really survive in TV industry. Better she sticks to Web series and produces finite content.

Exactly...the plan was for a year...and the pace was such...Now the story of next 8 months is shown in 2 weeks or has been dropped.

Enough has been said about what is to be blamed for low TRPs ...so won't repeat...To me this seems like a case of mismanagement, poor planning and poor execution at multiple levels.

Do you remember ...while watching IPK1 the screen play writer came under fire because of his unwillingness to cater to the demands and pressure on the show...which was also heavily scrutinized...his famous quote was Dekhna hei to Dekho... if I recall right...At least the tracks ran their due course and got a proper closure...in the long run...the plot stayed coherent...He was also a better screen play writer for sure!

@Sush :- Yup I totally agree. GH is a better writer than Harneet is. What is pissing me off royally is she screwed a show with this much potential and with such an awesome star cast. She should pack her bags and quit because this is the second time she screwed a show royally after Humsafars and Gul doesn't fire her then she can kiss her PH goodbye.

Totally agree with every word...there was so much to show but makers failed to utilize the story as well as the actors I am totally disappointed...and top of that instead of bringing up the unwanted Sasha track for almost 2 weeks they should have concentrated on the loopholes and given us a good end rather than a rushed one...wasted potential I would say

Fully agree with u
When they knew the show had to end
They should have scrapped the Sasha track
There was no need to drag it at all
Instead they could have closed the loops well
But here we got a rushed end
And not enough of AdNi too
