Chapter 3 : His Little Girl..
advay, misthi and dev, three persons who were once the most important persons of her life, and who destroyed without even blinking their eyes.
They walked towards her and stood in front of her. With a polite smile and no expression whatever she wished them good evening and turned to advay.
Sir, the preliminary report that you had asked me to bring. Chandini said in a total professional manner. advay stood directly in front of her and stared down at her. Nothing much had changed it seems. Even then her head barely reached his chin, now even though she is in heels, her head barely reached his chin.
But deep inside advay knew that she had changed. The eyes that were lively and were the window to her feelings , that reflected the respect she had for him, now showed nothing more that professional relationship, as if she did not knew him. When he first saw her standing in front of his office waiting for him, there was a strange aloofness in her, as if she was not of this world. At that time he knew chandini had grown more beautiful with the passing time. And right now that he was looking at her , she was staring straight ahead as if he was not even there in front of her.
his moment was broken when the lift stopped and the GM stepped in. Advay looked at the man and nodded and they proceeded towards his office, except chandini. It was an office etiquette. After a minute , she knocked and entered the room. The three chairs for visitors were already occupied so she stood silently after handing over the file to advay for him to review. The office was pindrop silence when the GM, aayush started conversing with her.
so ms. Chandini, from which collage did you do your masters??
IBS, Dehradun sir. She replied politely. the expression of aayush was surprise. It was not unexprected.
Realy?? Even our MD and CEO are from IBS. I am sure you must have met them. Aayush asked her
Chandini smiled a little and then said in a very serious tone.. when i was a freshman, at my first day in collage i had received a warning from my senior. She said dont look at advay singh raizada and dev singh khurana , if you dont want to break your heart in to tiny little pieces.
Aayush laughed lightly and then looked at chandini only to see her smiling lightly. Well your senior was right. Our receptionist has forwarded her resignation letter four times and our HR department is facing trouble because of the daily flocking of the girls.
So aayush, according to you i am a nuisance in my own company??? Advay asked in a very serious tone without even lifting up his head from the file that he was reading. The smile suddenly seized in aayush's face, while misthi and dev gave a crocked smile. This is what you get for trying to impress advay's woman.
No sir.. this is not what i meant to say.. aayush shuttered his reply. It was not a wise descision to make the king angry. Who knew when he would take your life.
Miss vasisth, i want you to make a team and start working on it. By the next three days in want a preliminary presentation and then contact with prem and we will start working on the constructions. Advay said while handing over the file to her. Chandini nodded while taking the file from him.
Sir.. am i allowed to take people from RC?? Chandini asked him.
Advay turned to look at her. Complete professional. Although outwards there was no change in his expression but within he swelled with pride. His little girl who had difficulty controlling her expression was replaced by one who knew how to behave. She had grown to such an extent that she did not even recognize him or pretended not to recognise him. The moment he had got off from the elevator he had seen her. For a moment her mask had spilled and her face had an array of emotions. Shock.. anticipation.. and finally hatred. But that lasted only for a moment. Had he not been an expert in reading her emotions, he would have not known.
She was good but he still needed to teach her how to hide her emotions perfectly, for his extended family and cousins were not like hers. They were shrewd and cunning and in a simple word were too clever. So she had to be very careful and he will teach her everything she needed to know.
Yes. After all they are also our employee. what are you thinking to do and how many people do we need for this project??? He asked her.
Sir, i was thinking first to gather different design and models for the building. Since it is a 15 storey one, so i will need 15 different design and architecture for it. For that i will need the employees as suited. Before the actual construction, according to the ideas given , we will first prepare a 3d model for it. And once it is passed then the materials required will be ordered as such. For that a civil engineer, architect, interior designer. I think that will suffice .
Why different models and architect??? Aayush asked, wouldn't it be unnecessary workforce??
Sir, with all due respect, Paradise is a multitude project. Prem sir had said that if the first building is upto the mark then we will receive the tender for the rest of the 11 buildings. And this project itself is almost a thousand crore rupees. So each flat will be about 20-25 crores. So i am thinking to make it unique. Every storey will be unique. Every person who will pay such a huge amount would obviously want return.
To say that they were impressed was an understatement, none more than Advay. His little girl had grown up. He was proud of her. Her in dept knowledge and precise methods of doing everything step by step was what he had taught her and she had taken his teachings to heart.

She wont be alone aayush. Prem ,dev and myself are handling the project. miss vashisht, you will report either prem or me directly. misthi update an post in the forum page and a hardcopy in every office of ours, that we need new designs for our project. And also ask ali to assist her. Make sure to mention that the deadline is in 5 days. So we will have our preliminary presentation in a week?
After all agreed, dev, misthi and aayush got up to leave the cabin. Just as chandini was about to leave the cabin..
Miss. Vashisht, a minute.
She hated her intuitions. She hated them even more when they were right. Somewhere there was a nagging feeling that he was going to do something today. Damn you chandini!!! She shouted to her inner self and turned around to face the man whom she despised.
By that time advay had called his secretary and called her to his cabin. He knew it would take his secretary at least 3 minutes to reach here. Lying back on his chair he sat leisurely and observed his little girl. She was standing near the door holding the file as if it was her lifeline.
He was not sure what had made the girl who had once loved him to hate him. But he would find it out very soon.
Yes he knew she loved him. Although she never said it to him directly, her small actions that she took when she thought , he was not looking at her, told him what he wanted to know. Now standing in front of him, she never once looked at him when there was a time he could feel her gaze drilling his back. But there was a difference in her gaze. It was full of adoration and respect and love. Love that he knew, she wont ever confess. She would choose not to say anything than confess her feelings. But what he couldn't understand was that how could that love and adoration turn into hatred and despise.
This one question, he had to find the answer and he would do it soon enough.
Linda.. there is an empty cabin in the 10th floor. Prepare it for miss.vashisth. advay said as his secretary entered.
Sir that cabin is your temporary one and is a big one . Linda said hesitating
Prepare it for her within 3 days. Is it clear??? Advay asked his voice changing totally. There was so much force that even if she wanted to oppose, she wont be able to do it.
And then with a flick of his hand, he dismissed both of them.
