But, reading the 1st page prologue again, it appears that the Devil is indeed making a deal with the angel's soul.

It would be interesting when the future chapters unfold more about Advay's character - whether Advay did the insult on purpose or not - was he aware that Chandni was overhearing it or was it completely unintentional?

Something which was not clear in the current chapter was :-

She was determined to open her heart only after she had passed out from the institution. Its clear that she overheard Advay's insulting conversation about her, with someone. And then she boarded the train.

And then she is meeting him after 4 years and she is already a working lady and Employee of the Month.

- When she boarded the train, had she already passed out of the institution ?

- Its unclear which year the heartbreak happened - for the 4 year period to be mentioned.

She wished and waited for the man to turn around while praying fervently to whoever listened to let it be a coincidence. But she knew very well that coincidences never occurred in her life.

Did you really think she was my.. advay singh raizada's girlfriend???

Even after four years those words still rang in her ears. She never forgot what happened that day. Throughout the day she kept herself busy but these words flowed into her mind, when she was trying to relax even for a second. These thoughts were the ones that never allowed her to sleep at night. She clearly remembered those words as if the person standing in front of her had said them to her just now.

she was disturbed by a someone clearing his throat. She looked at prem only to find him looking at her incredulously. Prem then turned to look at m.d and also found him starring at chandini. He didnot feel good to see them like this

chandini , advay sir was asking for you.. he said breaking the moment.

May i ask sir why? Chandini asked. By them she had schooled her expression with a polite and embarrassed expression. She did what she had forced herself to learn in these years , to push all her emotions inside a safe place and act as if every thing is normal.

You know about the paradise buildings project right??? The performance of the previous manager assigned to this project had not been satisfactory. And since advay sir is personally heading this project , he wants a best manager for this project so you have been called. He wants you to handle this project from now on till it is completed.. Prem informed chandini.

I am thankful that sir has thought so highly of me. But sir, you know i am already having two ongoing projects. Taking up such a multitude project would require my total time and attention. I am afraid i would be neglecting the other two and would end up disappointing both of you. Chandini replied. Because indeed she had 2 projects ongoing and her hands were full.

Is it that miss. Chandini does not wants to do this project??? Advay asked with a dominating voice that said that the clearly said that if her answer was no then she would regret.

enough.. advay shouted cutting her mid sentence. Prem make sure that will the preliminary report , ms.chandini reports to my office by 4 pm tomorrow. And with that advay stormed out of the room.

You were starring at him for a whole 2 minutes ... you know that??? Prem said to chandini with a hurt and shocking expression.

What can i say prem sir??? A pretty face.. she said then looked at prem with a blank face and then said.. but a rotten attitude. Crunching her nose like he was a bad smell.

Prem laughed loud and clear and was soon accompanied by chandini's hearty laugh. They laughed so hard that they were almost on the verge of falling from the chair. After some time when their laugh was under control, each of them drank a glass of water and left the conference room and walked towards prem's office. Once they were inside the office , prem turned serious.

Jokes apart chandini, you need to prepare for the paradise building project. With a sign he stopped any protest that she would have done. We have no choice here. If advay wants you in the project then you will have to be in the project.

But sir, why??? I still have two more projects pending. Who will do them ? and why did you suggest my name out of all the managers present in the building??? Chandini asked in a total unprofessional manner. Though for the outside world they were nothing more than C.E.O and a normal manager but in reality they were much more than that. Prem was the only one with whom she could share her every feelings without having the fear of being judged.

I had no choice. He had specifically asked for the manager of the year. He said in a helpless manner because truly nothing was in his hands. And even if i had a choice chandini i won't use it now.

Chandini looked at him with a shock clear in her face. Think about it, things are rough between me and advay. And if at this moment i would have refused to introduce you, it would result in dragging you unnecessarily in a mess that has nothing to do with you and the things will be even more difficult for you, that it will be.

Hmm.. you are right. I can't afford more difficulty than that devil is going to make. Chandini said with a heavy sigh. She should have thought before joining the office. Then she looked at the man sitting in front of her who was even more anxious and worried for her than she was. A man who had stood for her when no one had. A man who had taken the place as her mentor easily without even trying to. And who had always gone out of his way to help her and her family. So finally she took a deep breath and smiled at prem. So what should i do next???

Don't worry, i will always be there to help you... prem said as a promise not only to her but also to himself.

The next day with the preminary report of the project, chandini walked in to the Raizada head office. Talking to the receptionist she was directed directly to the 11^th floor where the office of C.E.O and the M.D was there. The raizada head office was a posh building that reflected the status of the Raizada empire itself. Each corner of each floor was neat and reflected an aura of dominance. All the floor except 11 and above was accessible for the employees, accessible only to the ones who had their cabins up there. But there was a rumour in the Raizada empire that everyone was aware of and discussed about it even after o many years. The rumour about the lost prince of the Raizada empire. The rumour said that there was actually another boy of the Raizadas other than Advay singh Raizada. And in 12^th floor along with the office of the chairman there was another office which was titled as M.D administration with the heirs name in it and that advay was the M.D. human resource the only problem was that the heir never once turned up to take his place in the company or the property.

Chandini walked to the 11^th floor. There were three cabins in total in the floor. First was of C.E.O administration misthi singh raizada, C.E.O human resource dev singh khurana and the last one was M.D. human resource Advay Singh Raizada. She stood in front of his office facing it with head down. Advay singh raizada, Misthi sigh raizada and dev singh khurana, two names she knew too well. Cousins who were once rivals and hid the relations so well that she could not even in her wildest dream think that they were related.

Just then a sound signalled the stopping of the lift. She was startled but quickly recovered and looked at the people who stepped out. They were laughing and were having a good time. they looked directly at her standing there and gradually their laugh dried out. Their expression was a different one. It had anticipation and something else but shock was not there. So they knew that she was about to come here and that she worked in one of the Raizada companies since a long time.

Advay, misthy and dev , once they were most important persons of her life. One was her friend, one was her confidant and one was her mentor. The three positions that had utmost importance in her life.

Truly, pretty faces with rotten attitude ...
