I believe that jab chandu ko sach pata chalega toh woh bechari waise hi jaan de degi

One simple answer to all the question you have :P "She is on road to be be Star bahu/beti and if possible patni tooo" :D Being mahan and making bad decision for others to keep them happy is the trade mark :P

I don't know whether Chandni is right or wrong but what if meghna didn't want the baby at all and wanted to get rid of it coz we don't have any back story about this...I guess we should just wait for that part to unfold as they can't show everything altogether...slowly we can get meghna's gray shades as well

Of course there is a possibility that Meghna didn't want the baby and just wanted to get rid of it.
But ( I know it's cruel what I'm gonna say) if Chadni can't tell her sister that her baby is alive it only means that Meghna wanted her child to be dead !?
In that case Chandni saved that baby's life. And Meghna ...well like mother like daughter.
Otherwise, why would Chandni hide the truth from her sister ?
I agree, we should just wait to see what exactly happened on that day the child was born.
And of course there are many other options too.
