Hammie's Impressions ~ep25~4.8.17.. 004..ASR?
Our lives are bound by certain legalities which operate under the law of the land. As much as the adventurous amongst us may claim to be free spirits ,part of a global community.We are officially required to have a registered identity confirming who we really are? Complete with declared date of birth, place of birth and country of origin. One's passport is not just a universally accepted legal travel document it is also our validated identification document. Today's episode brings up the case of one important character who I choose to call 004, as, who he really is? what his title or name is? is debatable, as exposed by Chandni. The question then is who is this obnoxious guest residing in the Vashist posing as Advay Singh Raizada? Better still, can he prove who he claims to be? Some shocking truths that clearly appear to operate outside the law of any land, raises suspicion against the legitimacy of true likeness of who he professes to be. The ID search is not just limited to the suave, flamboyant ASR/004/? it spans out to other characters too who are held under the scanner, for current track purposes. All these elements of revealing true concealed individuals lends hype and mystery to the mood and reactions of the viewers.
To tackle an identity crisis or further forge an undefined bond?..Chandni's transforms quite a bit, after her raid at the guesthouse. Where once she feared ASR ,now she feels empowered by the vital piece of evidence which should be enough to expel this unwelcome guest from her haven. Their face off is yet another heated squabble. While he continues to exert his inimitable charm around her by enquiring about her whereabouts? Chandni with her new found attitude refuses to give him what he wants really , Information! about what she got up to with PP? PP had already charged Advay that him and Chandni were up to no good. The more he wants to know, the more she dithers like he previously irritated , teased, and wound her up! She curtly, basically wants him to mind his own business! But then the issue with Advay is, anything that relates to Chandni is his business!. Dissension looms up between them over who would be the spouse of much sought after Chandni! Advay gently digs his heels in !its him.. but her reference to being with PP as her would be husband! Begins to turn him into the green eyed monster! He too attempts to unhinge her cheeky complacency by hinting that he knows. She assumes he knows she went to his guest house! Backing her into the twinkle lights pole he.. growls bitten by fangs of jealously.. calls her a shameless, brazen hussy! She mocks his jealous reaction!.. Chandni sees his scowl.. loud and clear in her face. Both deny but it's true, Advay's eyes ,his hoary voice, indicates his fear of losing his position to PP in Chandni's life. He resents it, and is suspicious of what went between Chandni and PP. Her nasty mock attacks burns him even more! She fights him, she fears him not! In fact he's the one who should fears her! again assumption chivvies him onto her.. he is curious. This tact is merely a pay back of what he tried with her.. leading her on into believing he's got more on her than she knows about herself! His grievance against her has always been about the authenticity of her true self. In fact in this scene they both continue to grope in the dark ,about the impressions they create before each other. true or false? Even at times when they are at logger heads with each other, which is most times. They both wrestle emotionally to view each other's real face.Chandni this time has solid evidence that he is some questionable faceless nonentity. She loves to play with his patience.. she plays harder by saying the number 4! There! that should keep him in the grip of agitated edginess! and with that she leaves him, with the bounce of victory in her step!
A sincere apology at times clears the air with the most hard lined people. The interaction between Shikha and Veer which began with disruptive violence ends up waving flags of peace and who knows a romantic liaison. Veer not only clarifies his true self, but also reveals signs of remorse of his misdeeds. Veer tenders his apology, and empowers Shikha by telling her all because of her he's a changed man! shall we say the man knows how to appease a woman? There is a certain calmness about Veer as opposed to his older brother Advay? is this because young Veer has been nurtured in a family scenario, foster parents. Whereas how 004/ASR got by in life is in itself a question mark?
Antlers locked militantly, both the doe and the reindeer, press their foreheads against each other ready to outdo each other in bringing the other down! Both Advay and Chandni use revealing evidence to unveil the truth that should wash out many concealed personas. There's Chandni with the assistance of Meghna who investigates the contents of the raid she carried out at the guest house.. known residence of 004.. ASR? Whereas raj Veer jumps over his identity hurdle. It appears, Chandni may be on to a winner.. 004 or whoever? might fall flat at obstacles 1,2,3,4. Then there's Advay who zooms into his suspected weakest link ,Shakun ,she slithers around prim and proper onthe outside. UV detector brushed on her palm by Shilpa exposes Shakun's clandestine bit on the side! Ranjit! Advay is repulsed by the pits of iniquity this Vashist family rolls in unashamedly! Suddenly he feels justified in his stance of hankering to deface the cons, Vashists don to trick ,not just outsiders but family insiders! Charlatans the lot! Advay grunts after this fresh revelation! Another filthy secret!
Where Chandni is the protective shield around her family honour and respect. She is the fierce woman warrior who smites all who pose a threat to her family. Being called cheats! by one who himself is the biggest swindler ,trickster walking round in trendy sartorial attire! She bombards Advay with personal questions. The purpose of his action? His background? and what secret he holds on to? Advay can read between the lines where she's coming from, he acts dumb. She mouths, 4! That says it all! she went to his guest house. Chandni ,shows transparency spells it all out ,yes she did so to uncover his secret! Which she found hidden in his drawer.
For him.. his sixteen year old battle is on the verge of being lost.. he assumes she got to his past.. Dev's sepia photograph the vital clue ,justification of who he really is. His heart sinks.. Dev, the one who brought out the survival instinct , Dev who defined his future objective.. yes Dev who with his stroke of resilience stamps his identity today. He fears, dear god let Dev not be known to Chandni. He stares at her face as she mocks ,it all makes sense, justifies his conduct unbecoming! Advay blurts with some relief , so she knows he s Dev ? alas! The frustration of dramatic irony, no! she knows not what this 004.. refers to. All she lays into him is the flash of his 4..passports different Ids Dave Matthews? Varun Arora? Albert? Chandni challenges him.. which one is he in reality? Suddenly to Advay this seriousness of the offence that she waves in his face matters not as much.. as her stumbling across.. his connection with Dev... load slips off his shoulders..she knows not the secret of Dev.. Advay sighs, that you will find out Chandni.. for yourself. Without looking at Dev's picture, your heart will tell you one day.. his big bold eyes are layered by a glaze. But Chandni knows now to strike hard when the metal is molten hot..only then can she make this hard man bend. His non- entity, or dubious identity lies in her power. She gives her verdict, he is a criminal ,a man with four passports! It's the ideal time to bargain! Ok! either he leaves Vashist house forthwith! or she'll ensure his next home for times to come is behind bars! Take your pick 004!!!
The matriarchal ice maiden of a mother, Indrani , has a meltdown. Have to say she gives Chandni a gift that is bound to have an emotional impact on her. A pair of earrings she wore when Chandni's father first set eyes on her before they got married. Suddenly Indrani goes through a traditional scene with Chandni, where mothers get weepy when their daughters are on the verge of marriage. The swing pre wedding ritual, designed to be an ice breaker between the would be wife and groom is soon to be underway. Indrani wants Chandni to wear her borrowed earrings! Both step mother and step daughter weep. To me Indrani's tears typify relief that Chandni is at last going through this marriage. Chandni's signify a life long gratification to Indrani for being a mother to a motherless child. Still Indrani fears the sudden strike of ill omen. This time Chandni's confidence pours forth from within her heart and mind.. the kill joy ASR.. 004 already has one foot outside their threshold.. so the ritual forecast will be fine ,her mother needn't be anxious. Chandni muses now she possesses the key to one undesirable's exit..
It's strange , despite much love seen between Indrani and her daughter. This family has undercurrents of betrayal within the family fold. Advay already senses that. But other things too prey upon his mind.. like his multiple passport issue. He needs them. All 4 of them.. this feisty moon beam will roll him into darkness for good. What does she know.. 004 has lost all, there is nothing left to lose. But then this too Chandni you know that Dev never lost and neither will this 004.. so the game goes on and so does our story! Loved the game being played by 004/ASR & Chandni.. both a fine pair.. the heat is on.. both aim to out do the other..love all! Rabba ve.
