Hammie's Impressions ~ep 19~27.7.17 The madness of an old flame
So what is love? Seemingly it's an emotion that gives a blissful purpose for living. It creates, multiplies, spreads its branches of joy from one to many. Love purifies and cleanses the vile within us.Love is an attraction that one senses towards another or others. It's multifaceted and manifests itself in a variety of ways. Love forms the foundation of many relationships we human form between each other. Love also is a sentiment that makes one fall for another. It is also a realization that raises one to higher realms beyond one's capacity. Love also can be sweet, bitter, sour and savoury all in one go. To sum up, as the famous quote goes ,its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Now I mention love as the episode touches upon the nature of attraction , bonding that is in progress between Advay and Chandni. Since neither of them have verbally given a name to their relationship as love, which is probably sensible. as both have their individual emotional baggage, I refer to their relationship as undetermined ..
Unexpressed love or attraction makes people behave in a contradictory manner. Chandni continues to emphatically make known to Advay she is not interested in whatever he has to say to her. She turns her body to blank him out. But still turns and faces him and continues talking to him, stay away from her. No wonder Advay is amused as she continues to speak to him. He has plans to be heavy..so deliberately he gives her threats, she'd better stay and hear him out or else? Or else..he forces her to turn away from him. Advay wants her to leave ,so that he can press a button that controls her! magnetic soled slippers! As the wilful lover, he finally tells her, he can also stop time if he wanted too! In fact that is what he is doing stopping time, just enough to brainwash her that east or west Advay is the best! and time will see to it that she marries him! As the beloved in true character Chandni jeers his thought and reckons he's lost the plot! As the lover he is brash ,bold and bolshie! agrees with his fair lady ..he's not just mad about her, he's possessed! like an old flame.. Advay again taps her memory refers to a past bond.. he is a blast from her past.. now he expresses the same familiarity ,affection he had for her in the past. He yearns for her to recall her old flame Dev!.. yes she's right about his insanity regards her! In her face he blows off her hair that frames her face.. his warm breath in her face is very nearly the kiss of realization she needs to face! that Destiny commands it to be this way.. Advay and Chandni.. Raaba ve.. she closes her eyes tightly.. he looks dryly into her hooded eyes ..his plea like a typical lover is marry me !marry me! and she is the typical beloved who is weighed down by other commitments.. Advay gets the message.. this bond requires a waiting time ,and he knows all good things come to those who wait! Meanwhile for him, to refer to her as his dear wife, whenever he gets a chance is a fun way at practising what they are destined to be eventually, husband and wife! So goes the madness of Chandni's old flame... Raaba ve!
Devastated.. from Advay side, Chandni runs for solace to her father. She'll unwind and cry over his shoulder. Poor girl even if she fancied Advay, the chances of her reciprocating to Strange Singh Raizada demands were very slim. Advay.. as today she called him that.. is not her mother's first choice for her. But Chandni is the Known miss fix it! It's ironic she off loads before her father.. who being the head of the household is the ineffective dysfunctional father. How Yash become this way is a mystery in itself? Is his comes and goes memory span some punishment by the deities for past misdeeds? Its tears and confessions about breaking her mothers dreams! She sobs, she meant well but fouled this PP proposal! The marriage is off! they will be leaving! But to this father who knows not his own daughter Chandni at times.. now can see his Chandni's tears.. PP he is oblivious of.. but he has a feel good sensation about this young stranger he met before and liked. A father may not know who he is? But he knows who is good for his little girl. Right before Advay and Chandni's very eyes Yash places Chandni's hand in Advay's and literally performs the ritual of Kaniydan! Giving away his daughter to the groom! The gods, chose the father with an erratic memory, to speak through him.. Yash asks his daughter to accept Advay as her husband, as truth reflects in his eyes .. his heart is pure and is unlikely to cause her any pain. Yash confirms to Advay ,he is confident , he'll keep his daughter happy. Then silently this discerning father leaves. Chandni is speechless .. once again, Advay as the persistent lover.. pleads to his beloved.. will she not say yes now?? now that the elder of this house has blessed them?? Looks like it's going to be a long haul for Advay ,as Chandni's responds by leaving. So Chandni believes, her father is not of sane mind ,and as such, his decision is invalid! Pity Chandni only panders to the dictates and gentle demands of her step mother. Chandni would do anything to please Indrani .Looks like Indrani's good days are back! The storm of uncertainty has past. Both the boy's and girl's mothers clear the air between themselves like civilized people. PP madness over Chandni saves the day! Well looks like Chandni's happy days are back! Indrani gives her daughters the good news that the engagement is today! Its interesting to see that PP's mother too is desperate for Chandni's hand.. as an incentive for Indrani she suggests her friends rich son for one of Indrani's other two daughters!
Well it's a small world! the friends son suggested for either Meghna or Shikha is none other than Veer's buddy! Who is already in a relationship so the boy wasn't interested in attending the roka ceremony . Veer checks the address and its house where Shikha resides! Veer has a bone to pick with this super woman! And offers to go instead of his mate! One can expect fireworks between two dare devils!
Tit for tat! Chandni may not say yes to marrying Strange Singh Raizada.. but she is a fast learner, and gives back as good as she gets! The magnet is like a peace maker between Advay and Chandni.. in short bursts it gives them total control over each other! Chandni is on to a winner! when Meghna gets hold of the magnetic control! The same trick tried on her,Chandni now tries on Advay. He takes it in a.. fixed on the spot position. He stares at her stuck to the carpet, Advay stares at her.. let her bask in her short lived glory!.. for little does his pretty maid know that her roka is about to be invaded! by his flying force!..
Let the ceremony begin! Chandni and PP stand under the canopy of the ceremonial Red chunni. One press of the button by Advay and a fluttering, flying diving army of feathered friends arrive from nowhere and bombard all with excrement! All run for cover! escaping the diving army of birds who needed to open their bowels! Murli laughs at his masters ingenious idea of feeding the birds before their flight! Dearie me! The chunni lands in a heap over the floor! Advay screws his bold eyes and mutters.. no way will he let Chandni marry anyone else.. Hamlet53 28.7.17
An entertaining episode .. things seem to moving along.. roka happening.. dare I say,the real roka will happen tommorrow when Advay places the chunni on Chandn's head... will there be opposition?? for me the scene between chandni, Yash and advay wa great..
