THE GAME OF JEALOUSY

Part 3

Advay stopped in his tracks as he saw Arush crossing his path and mounting in front of him to aide Chandini. Chandini stood there astonished trying to take in the situation which has arisen. She could see Arush smiling at her gesturing her to hold his hand, at the same time she gazed at Advay who himself looked perplexed at the turn of events. She gave him a faint smile and grabbed his extended hand but not before giving Advay one last longing look. She noticed him gritting his teeth and his hands closing in a tight fist. It seemed they were talking with each other through their eyes as if Advay was threatening her with that You-Know-You-Are-Only-Mine look and Chandini giving him that I-am-sorry look.

Arush smirked seeing the couple exchanging words through their eyes. Seeing Advay's reaction on Chandini's injury he was confident that his kulhad' friend definitely had some feelings for this sweet girl named Chandini. He had promised himself to bring them together as he knew how badly Advay was in need of a companion in his life. He knew how much he craved for a family, someone whom he can call his own, at times he had seen him looking at his family with longing eyes.

"Tumhaari zindagi hamesha kaali raat ki tarah thi Advay. Aur poori duniya jaanti hai ki Raat uski Chandini ke bagair adhura hai. Waqt aa gaya hai uss Chandini ka tumhaare zindagi mei aane ka." (Your life has always been a dark night Advay. And the whole world knows that a night is incomplete without his moonlight. The time has come for that moonlight to enter your life)

"Moreover, it will be a treat to see a jealous ASR. I have not forgotten the days where you along with my darling wife had played the same game with me and made me confess my feelings. Time to have a taste of your own medicine Raizada."and smirked to himself.

At the bar, Meera beamed in joy as she witnessed the scene. Advay reached the bar and sulked in anger. Meera knew it was better to leave him alone because he can be very mean when someone coaxed him during his worst moods. "Vodka" he shouted to the bartender. He gulped one shot down and let the bitter liquid wash away the pain he felt when he saw her holding someone else' hand.

"Heck! She should have politely refused it. But no, she had the audacity to go with some other man that too in front of me. Someday your extra sweetness will definitely get the worst out of me, Chandini. I swear."

He scanned his eyes to have a look at her and his anger heightened when she saw her standing close to Arush and whispering something in his ears. Then his gaze went to their hands which were still entwined. Well, that was a limit, he looked away in annoyance.

"Now she doesn't have a problem with an unknown man holding her hands but when I do the same what do I get to hear Don't touch me' or Stay away from me'."He smiled clasping the drink in his hand "You were, is and will be mine Chandini, forever. Right from the day you were born till the time you die I will be the only man in your life. It will always be Advay Singh Raizada's name on your lips no damn PP or even my best friend Arush. Because anyone who comes between us has to face the fire called ASR." he grinned wickedly as he swallowed down the second shot.

Arush rushed to the bar and stopped Advay from having another drop of alcohol. He jerked his hands away and looked at him with rage filled eyes. Arush gestured a no and Advay's eyes softened a bit in understanding and closed his eyes to calm his raging nerves.

Advay - What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your date for the evening?

Arush (smirking) - Oops! It seems I snatched someone's girl. I can smell something burning.

Advay - She is mine Arush. (She has no choice). She will come running to me declaring her love for me.

Arush (placing his hand on his shoulder) - I know she has feelings for you. But what about you. I can see the love you have for her in your eyes. You are not an open book my friend. But anyone can see the love you hold for her. It is so evident in your actions ... you rushing by her side the moment she got hurt, your desperation to inquire about her injury, you burning in jealousy when any man eyes her. If this is not love, then I really don't know the definition of love.

Patting his back, Arush left a thinking Advay behind.

Arush's words left Advay wondering about the depth of his friend's words. Whatever he said was true, each and every word, even after her betrayal he couldn't stop himself from drawing towards her. 16 years back he was intelligent enough to give a name to those innocent feelings which budded up in his pure heart. He had realised at the tender age of 13 that she was more than a friend to him. But again flashes of the brutal past clouded his mind and a lump formed in his throat. He had buried those feelings 16 years back and trained himself to become a calculative and manipulative person he is now. He had vowed never to fall prey to a thing called emotions' in his life. But he himself has started seeing his resolve breaking the moment he met his Chand again. He knew she was a betrayer, a deceiver, a liar and girl with many faces still he couldn't deny the fact that these days she was definitely a moonlight in his life just like her name. Her touch, her face, her presence was indeed a drug in his life. He had never intended to marry her, he just wanted her to go through the pain of defamation and shame just like his family had gone through 16 years back due to her false statement. However, he changed his entire plan the moment he heard Indrani Vashishth planning her daughter's marriage. The damn feelings were back again rather were bubbling up in his heart, this time with more force. He couldn't lose her...not again...that is what his sub-conscious mind told him. And the next day the second he found her alone, he hastily proposed her for marriage leaving her stunned and himself satisfied.

He smiled recalling her shocked expressions. He was a strong and true man who had the courage of accepting even the bitterest truth. And today Advay Singh Raizada has no qualms in admitting that Chandini's denial, her injury, her pain, her being with any man other than him definitely affects him...affects him to the extent that he would kill anyone who tries to come between them. She had reignited those forbidden emotions again...Chandini Yash Narayan Vashishth had made him fall in LOVE with her... AGAIN. He smiled sipping his juice as he acknowledged the nasty yet beautiful truth. He again turned to the vixen who had succeeded in breaking his resolution, and found her conversing with his group.

"Time to complete the challenge Mrs Raizada."

Placing the juice on the table, he marched with his eyes constantly on her. She felt him coming towards her and she rubbed her palms in nervousness. He stood in front of her stretching his hand and said in a husky voice.

"May I have the pleasure to dance with you?"

She raised her head up but her heart shattered in pieces when she heard his next words.

"May I have the pleasure to dance with you... Meer"

Meera grinned in excitement and nodded a yes. He took her to the dance floor and started dancing cosily with her but all the time his eyes were glued on Chandini's face which depicted nothing but hurt. He could see her staring at the position of his hands and he saw her flinching when he placed them on Meera's waist. Chandini's eyes were clouded with tears of pain, anguish and anger. The song came to an end but she continued looking at them as a slightly tipsy Meera started kissing Advay on his face refusing to leave him. She felt like someone was punching her guts, she didn't have it in her to witness the scene anymore and ran to the washroom to cry her heart out. Here, Meera was getting a slight uncontrollable as she started pushing Advay towards the staircase. Advay thought it was better to make her sit in a room to avoid any negative attention.

Chandini came out wiping her face and skimmed through the crowd to find Advay and Meera but they were not present on the dance floor. Her heart started thudding loudly in her chest as she thought about the acts they would be doing. She searched for him frantically through the ground floor, she climbed the stairs for the first floor and the sight in front of her made her heart to come in her mouth, she saw her Advay with Meera all over him entering a room. Tears of betrayal already started to flow down her beautiful sapphire eyes and she marched towards the room in anger. She froze outside as she heard some words from Meera's mouth which made her cringe "I love you baby. Please make me yours Advay." That was it, she barged into the room and saw them in a compromising position with Advay trying to pry her hands off and Meera forcefully showering kisses on him. Advay at once got up pushing Meera aside, he was shocked to see his Chand's face all red, nostrils flaring and the fury in her eyes. She briskly progressed towards them, caught Meera's wrist tightly, threw her out of the room and shut the door with a thud. It took Advay some time to understand the situation and when he finally comprehended the conditions, he had that pleasant smirk pasted on his lips. He stood with his hands folded waiting for more drama to unfold.

When she turned to face him, she saw him standing there as calm as sea making her go mad with irritation. She came to himtaking long strides her nose red with anger and her eyes crazily filled with fury. She held him by his collar and shook him hard.

Chandini - What did you ask me? To marry you. Marry the person who doesn't think twice before hurting me with his words. Do you know your words pierce my heart more than my maasi's taunts? Tie a lifelong relation with a man whom I met just 2 weeks back but who claims that he knows me better than I know myself. How can a person decide to get hitched to a person whom he hardly knows and had just met few days back? Tell me one good reason Advay for marrying you.

Advay - Because you belong with me...he stated plainly

Chandini gave out a hollow laugh at his answer.

Chandini - I only belong to my husband and that is...

Advay - Dare you Chandini. Dare you take any other person's name from your beautiful mouth and I swear on you he will not be alive tomorrow. YOU ARE MINE... ALL MINE

Chandini shivered at the intensity of his voice but she composed herself.

Chandini - Stop it! Just stop it! I am not a commodity for God's sake. If you believe me to be yours, then why hell were you dancing so intimately with Meera when you clearly knew what I was going through seeing you so close to some other girl? And W*F were you doing with her in this room. Did you plan to spend a night with her or did you propose her for marriage as well or is it like friends with benefits?

He grabbed her by waist and she clutched the lapels of his shirt for support. Pulling her closer, he whispered dangerously.

Advay - Not a word more. Yes, I danced with her INTIMATELY because I wanted to see this vulnerability on your face. It is better if two play the same game. What you thought I won't understand your jealousy games, baby? I knew that you were deliberately getting closer to PP so that you can make me jealous.

She looked at him shocked as she gazed down not having any words to say. Advay raised her chin with his index finger.

Advay - Cat got your tongue baby? I brought Meera here because she was tipsy and she needed some rest. Hope this clears your doubts. But you know she is more happening than you, she has got that perfect body...

She looked angrily at him and smooched him hard on his lips taking him by surprise. With that maddening rage in her eyes, Chandini continued

Chandini - Only I have the right to feel safe in these arms. This body is mine to touch. These hands are to be rested only on my waist. It will always be Chandini whom you will pick up without her will. It will only be Chandini whom you will call Bhagyawaan'. You will have nonsensical and baseless talks only with Chandini. Only Chandini has the right to trouble and be troubled by you. I will be the only girl to whom you will whisper sweet nothings. Only I have the right to decide whether you grow a beard or keep a stubble. Only I have the right to reprimand you for your hygiene habits. Only I have the sole right to prepare your favourite noodles forever. I have the exclusive right to address you tum' whenever I want to. Only Chandini Advay Singh Raizada is the legitimate owner of ASR's love. Only Advay has right on his Chandini. No one else. Did you get that?

He was overwhelmed with her words so he bent down to capture her lips in a kiss but saw a tear trickle down her cheeks. Cupping her cheeks he said

Advay - What is it baby?

Chandini - I am yours but you are not mine, Advay.

Advay - Just like you are mine. I am yours too. All yours

Chandini (whispered) - I don't believe you.

He gently took her hand and put it on his chest.

Advay - Open the buttons, Jaan

Chandini was shocked at his bold statement and shyly removed her hand looking down. He raised her face at once, and by the look of it she knew he was dead serious. Her hands shivered as she opened the first button but she kept her eyes locked with Advay's honey brown ones. She slowly finished unbuttoning his shirt and coyly discarded it from his body. All the while Advay kept her gaze fixed with his. He took her shivering hand and placed it right above his heart. She blushed as her cold hands came in contact with his warm body. Advay gestured her to look down and she slowly down casted her eyes and was amazed at what she saw. Her orbs pooled again as she sobbed bitterly thinking the pain he would have gone through while getting her name tattooed. "Chandini" it read in Sanskrit, she immediately placed her lips on the carved skin and kissed it repeatedly to soothe down the pain. She caressed it gently and whispered.

Chandini - It would have pained.

Advay - I am ready to get inked a thousand times if it is for you, Jaan. Now do you believe that "Advay par sirf Chandini ka haq hai

Aur "Chandini par sirf Advay ka haq hai" she completed for him and leapt forward to take his lips for their first kiss. He stumbled due to the force with which she kissed and balanced both of them. He held her up in his arms and angled her head correctly for better access to her mouth. They kissed like there was no tomorrow. He bit her lips to seek an entry into her mouth and tasted every nook and corner of her delicious mouth. Though it was her first kiss, she was equally passionate and participative in the kiss. He massaged her waist while she massaged his thick black locks. He broke off when he felt her short of oxygen.

Placing his forehead on hers he said.

Advay - I love you, Jaan

Chandini - I love you too

Advay - Btw, I won the challenge

Chandini looked confusingly at him and then remembered their challenge of few days back. Wrapping her hands around his neck, she said in a seductive tone.

Chandini - If losing a challenge gives me Advay Singh Raizada in return, then I am ready to lose hundreds of such challenges.

Advay gave a sly smirk seeing his usually shy Chandini getting into a bold avatar. Getting down on his knees, he said

Advay - Will you be Mrs Advay Singh Raizada?

Chandini bent down to his level and captured his lips in another soul searing kiss. Breaking the kiss, Advay removed the solitaire ring and swiftly inserted it in her ring finger. Chandini was in awe at his gesture, looking at the ring she said

"Advay ki Chandini aur Chandini ka Advay... hamesha"
