IPKKND3~ep 12~18.7.17 My Impressions lock stock and barrel !
The title speaks about controlling something wholly, in its entirety. With regards to today's episode it's about a new owner ship coming into place, over the Mahant's house. For Advay history takes its due course and justice comes into fair play. Those who wronged him some sixteen years ago, the whole Vashist family he has eventually placed in a complete lockdown. Before he moved in to tighten his grip, over them, Advay had already jammed the mentality of Indrani the think tank of the family, into a panic mode. He has no regrets what so ever. They give him more than his share of unwanted sorrow. So now in the best possible way Advay Singh Raizada comes not as a usurper but rather as the gracious messiah who not only buys their very existence lock stock and barrel!! to their advantage, but graciously gifts them their shallow lifestyle the Vashists pine for .
The older three sisters whenever they meet, usually come out with the bitter reality about their all that glitters is not gold image! Financially they are in dire straits, but what keeps Indrani the eldest sister afloat is her defiant will to reckon against all odds. Indrani is a ruthless survivor , who maintains her image at all time. Its true she stumbles in the wake of present misfortunes , but far from fallen. Interestingly, where Chandni picked up her broken spirit yesterday.Today we see Indrani bucking up her sisters, infusing her fighting spirit in them. To me she'll not rest.. she'll look into other avenues which can avert her family from ending up on the streets.
Yet when one look at the appearances of the three sisters, who would suspect they suffer from a financial crisis..? none, except Advay Singh Raizada! he knows that Indrani is one tough nut to crack, so he might just put his plan B into action to break the woman who wears the trousers in the vashist household.. here it does cross my mind that the complete temple saga was neatly orchestrated by Advay.. what with all the weather modification, making absolutely sure that the temple stays locked; the vashist's stay deprived of the treasure so that they end up more vulnerable than before. Their weakness will give him the opportunity he sought, i.e. to move into the Vashist household and that too with grace and dignity of a benefactor! Shivay Singh Raizada is no lousy player, he is a pro' when it comes to getting back what once belonged to the family he once had!
Seems like history is going to repeat itself.. with Chandni and her sisters, like it did Many moons ago with Advay and his baby brother. The threat of losing their home. Only Chandni, has a certain calm of faith optimism around her. She empowers her insecure younger sisters by giving witness to seeing her unseen Bhole Nath looking out for her and her family. Her faith is a tremendous emotional support for her. Whereas her elders like her mother may uphold the faith but lacking in complete belief hence their sinning and insecurities about food, shelter, clothing..
Plan B... part two, or rather perhaps always part A.. for Advay its C! For Chandni yes.. how things progress in his vendetta too depends on Chandni.. Advay , have to say, covers all sides of his game. But being attracted to Chandni is not part of his game. For some reason the word, game is too coarse to be connected to her!
Well the moment comes when Chandni finds out ,yours truly now owns their house, lock stock and barrel! but before the news, an innocent Advay , minding his own business ,on Indrani's behest, steps into Chandni's favourite room the kitchen wack! His forehead comes in the range of a playful harmless throw and catch the plate game between the three sisters! Blessed her throw! He looks at her from far, it's needless, as she's caught him already! Indrani is shocked! Her daughter Chandni hardly makes mistakes.. this is a slip.. Advay can see it in this mothers eyes that she is keen to pair her daughter off with him.. but he is cautious.. holds his horses, plays it cool .. keenly his eyes watche Chandni's reaction, when Indrani drops the bomb that Advay will be staying here as he's bought the house! Shock horror on her face and, hard to conceal joy inside Advay. He cannot contain himself from going into puns, and he addresses Indrani, seems, her daughter sustains some deep wound that'll take a while to heal ! Mind you ,Indrani leaves the situation with Chandni .. it's all in her hands now, how she plays her cards. It's clear that Indrani now looks to her daughter to take this family further out of the doldrums..
Advay's cut and Chandni's nursing is an endearing scene between the two. Advay becomes the willing male who seeks and responds to the nurturing touch of the female. He lets the scene linger as best as he can ! loving her attention more so ,since she is in a sulk and unwilling to tend to him in the first place. Still he gives her the at your mercy heal me looks !with his bold innocent eyes. Chandni is like a professional nurse doing her duty to one dandy awkward patient. Curtly she tells him have a warm glass of haldi milk , sleep it off, hurt should heal.. but he grabs her wrist...not so soon... lady.. twists her wrist and she squeals.. warn's him he's hurting her.. well, he snubs her with his typical innuendo .. the hurt she's inflicted on him is not the one to heal over night.. raaba ve... he holds her helpless eyes in a lock and is unwilling to set her free.. she nearly screams! as always one of her sister nearly saves her. His rant is not over yet! and he spews.. in riddles again , he bore the pain she gave him, now it's high time she has a taste of her own medicine. Part of Chandni's frustration with him is that she can never quite perceive what he is on about! she spurns his grip and stomps off. Advay too reacts, rips off the band aid she applied and bitterly moans about pain being a hurt that the perpetrator forgets ,but the one at the receiving end tends not to forgo..
Indrani's rather unpleasant encounter with her creditor for not clearing her back dated dues is advantageous for Advay, who prevents a hurled Indrani, symbolically from falling from grace in the community. As by Jove! he has the money to clear her owing dues. Now Advay will hold the Vashists, in a greater debt that they can never repay! All Advay wants is they mend their ways,perhaps own up to their crimes and show remorse? The rest of the family is explained about the good fortune for the vashishts by Advay honouring all their debts. When all welcome the idea of Advay giving them temporary respite , Chandni wants to know what's in it for him? Advay's heroic words of honouring tradition. Which meant this house was meant for priests... and he is merely upholding it; by letting them keep it he is simply showing respect for good all old tradition. Plus he values they have memories associated with this house .There in lies within his spoken words some silent personal hidden sorrows which Chandni knows not about. She can only expect some dark ulterior motive from his side. She cannot be blamed for this attitude, as he himself rubs his dark image in her face all the time. The truth is , he now baffles her even more as she only just begins to know him a bit more..
Both mother and daughter talk in terms of him granting them a favour.. Chandni even expects he'll slap a charge on letting them stay. Advay replies in all earnestness.. buying and selling happens in the market place ,not in a temple..and one's home for him is to be revered as a temple. In the main he show she's not keen to let him live with them.. but Indrani request's him to stay as he has just lost his lodgings too. at the hands of the cutthroat nasty creditor. I feel somehow that the vashists live readily off borrowed cash, that much of their self respect has gone down the drain. They come across a sad case of living beyond their means.. simply keeping up appearances.
Both brothers Advay and Veer.. are into showing people their true faces and colours . Advay moves in the Mahants house, hopefully he will craftily expose the vashishts to their sinful past ,Veer too by his comic skits exposes the hypocrisy and sham that lies within society ,where people get impressed by appearances.
Have to say this was a fine episode in terms of dialogues.. it covered , puns, sustaining , cleaning, festering wounds, favours being granted to humble the proud , respecting and maintaining age old traditions, cherishing memories .. some solitary souls live by their memories...and a weary traveller in need of a rest with one sweet , feisty girl.. raaba ve.. Advay is in love..or is this just an illusion?? Hamlt53 19.7.17
