This was a pretty heavy episode. A little emotional and lots of masti!
First of all Veer/Miku, whatever his name is, I love him. The scene starts with Advay and Miku crossing paths. They don't know each other. They are not aware that they are brothers. Dramatic irony is flashed in our faces as they spoke. The visuals were brilliant. In the back there was three statues: Ram, Lakshman, and Sita. The music in the background is about Ram. Very symbolic to the Ram-Ravan complex, further supporting it. Our Miku is Lakshman to this Ramayan. Concluding that Ram is Advay, Lakshman is Miku, and Sita is Chandni.
I love this relationship between Advay and Miku. (He called him an AYM! I'm dead, this character is bless. Too pure cinnamon roll, I must protect him) You see, if this is what it is now, but when Advay learns the truth, can you imagine the reaction? What if something is happening to Miku at the time, like near death experience. Advay's kindness and guilt erupts as he is reunited with his long lost brother.
On an interesting note, Miku is in love. But with who? Maybe Chandni's cousin sister? Can't wait for shipping.
We cut to Kajol giving out parsad, and Shakuntala beside her. These two come in a duo, really. Kajol gives her ring to one kid and realizes what she did. Kajol tries to get it back but causes a hungama. Indrani notices, she hears her family shaming itself. She dissolves the situation rather nicely by exchanging her ring with Kajol's, while revealing her shatir nature by keeping the real ring that she meant to give the kid. Indrani is clever. I love her music by the way. 😆 I find myself saying Da.. Sha.. Sa.. Dhan.. Dhe..
Onto the most interesting twist in this episode. Remember the trailer where Indrani gets a letter saying someone knows what they did? That was not Advay, because he himself is asking what got into them. That was someone else. This leads me to believe someone else knows about this raaz, and they could be a potential ally or villain. Do you think Advay's revenge reason and Indrani's raaz are the same? Because I'm starting to believe not.
Side note: Wasn't the Maha Aarti today? Why is it three days later? Wonder how many episodes will take for 3 days to pass.
Cheers to our first dear AdvNi moments. It starts with Chandni narrating the Baghavad Gita to foreigners. (My Hindi is not that shuddh, I have no idea what lines that she recites mean, please tell me.) Advay comes in, randomly, and is giving her attitude. She fights back regrettably, explaining in English. (Educated FL ka jay jaykara 🥳 ) Advay throws her attitude, stepping toward her as she steps back. Her back pinned against the wall, she in uncomfortable. She tries leaving but he blocks her path with his arm. He is scolding her about speaking rudely to her elder and tells her to refer to him as 'aap' rather than 'tum'. He basically hinted to her that he's Dev, but she didn't understand nor recognize him. Now here I just laugh a little, Advay says you'll want to see me again, and Chandni's basically saying no thanks I'm good. I find this funny because its so weird. Like, are you assuming her no is about to become a yes? Beta, listen, this is not how you pataofy your ladki. And then he just leaves and Chandni is almost traumatized.
The next AdvNi moment is when Chandni is walking around the Haveli, and Advay knocks the guards, following Chandni, unconscious. Realizing they are gone, Chandni calls out to them. Advay is in the back, watching her. He sets her dupatta on fire. Chandni tries to put out the fire. (Girl, stop drop and roll.) Chandni takes off her dupatta and lets it burn. They have their conversation, she asks the important question, no answer. He says she looks good without her dupatta, and she's confused and feels almost violated as she covers herself. This part is interesting to me because a dupatta is a symbol of modesty, and Advay said he likes her without it. This means he finds her indecency appealing, but ironically wants to expose her indecency to the world. What a story, yaar.
Chandni is mortified, asking him what he's doing as he takes his coat off. They repeat the famous lines: "Yeh kesi batmeezi hai?" (Chandni) and "Batmeezi toh maine abhi shuru bhi nahi ki" (Advay). They paralleled the lines from the first season. He puts his coat on her, she's in his arms. She recalls her kidnapping, and faints as a tear falls down. AdvNi parallels ArShi again as Advay pushes Chandni's hair back, wipes her tears, stares and then carries her to the bench.
Advay goes on about how he isn't fooled by her innocence anymore, as he recalls them playing together. (Aww) He recalls her telling people that Advay's mom can fly, that she is a witch. And because of this his parents die. Now whether you guys find this reason justifying revenge suitable or not, I think this is pretty valid. Such things should not be taken lightly, even if Chandni was wrong, her mistake killed and ruined people. Maybe she said it under duress of Indrani, or someone else, who knows.
Lastly, the vamp trio discussing the letter. I think its safe to say it wasn't Advay. This means that it is a mystery for us too. That means Advay's revenge against the Vashisht family will only be directed at Chandni. There is a villain or ally running around, and they know a lot. Things the Vashishts don't want let out. I question what the raaz is and what was Shakuntala muttering, was it a premonition? I couldn't hear her properly.
Either way, episode was shaping up very nicely.
