I loved the use of Nodir kul nai, kinar nai , a Bengali vatiali song by reknowned Bangladeshi poet Jashimuddin and originally sung by Abdul Alim ... The song is really really very old ... And they used it almost like a Gregorian chant when Chandni stepped outside ... It was beautiful ...
The song is about Jamuna / Yamuna river which traverse Allahabad ( story backdrop in IPK3) but eventually ends in Bangladesh where it meets Bay of Bengal, the ultimate destination for a river is to meet the ocean ... When Chandni walks out ( kul nai kinara nai plays in BG) and she meets Advay 👏.. It was symbolic... I was so pleased and then they played "hay hay" from IPK1 and it hurt so much to hear that 😭
Anyways, I thought you might like the translation , it's a spiritual song ... Life's journey is tough , we see no end to our troubles , sometimes we think we see the kul/ kinar / side of the river ( a respite ) but the next second it's gone , the tumultuous journey will end one day when we meet God ( merge with the ocean ) and become a part of him.
Thanks for reading
