Am curious why he is targeting chandni. She must be very young to have personally committed any crime tat could've brought a difference in advays life. So I think he is only punishing her for her parents deeds. Going by the spoilers her mom did something?
If so he won't be able to harm her eventually as he will be in love with her ..

i definitely think this could be inspired from 'baazigar'. also the tv show 'revenge', even though there's already been an indian version of it they changed the whole premise of that show and this could be nearer to the original version in a lot of ways - strong female antagonist, the main lead taking revenge to correct a wrong done to his family, using the offspring of his enemy to exact that revenge ... the only thing that doesn't fit is that Advay seems to have a personal grudge against Chandni herself not just her mother or her family and he seems much darker
