While I agree with you that I cannot possibly state how her character will etch in the story, I don't think there is any harm in assuming how a character will develop since this is after all a fictional show. I came up to a vague, tentative conclusion from whatever I have read so far that she seems like a typical run of the mill, meek starplus heroine. That's all 😆Now I was not aware of Chandni to be an acid attack victim until now and even so I don't believe an acid attack victim necessarily needs to mop and be depressed. Is she actually going to suffering from anxiety disorder? Was that said anywhere? There is nothing on the books that state that such a person will be stuck in melancholy and sadness. And I don't think it's right that the rest of the society is going to assume or judge that such a person should be depressed and anxious her whole life. Sympathize with them, help them but not pity them.
Different people react differently to situations based on their personalities and life experiences. I am in no way saying a person has to behave in a certain way and I don't think it's right for anyone to assume that Chandni is to be depressed and suffer from a mental breakdown.
Ok so we are talking about Chandini right? Let me bring you up to speed... Gul said this is story of an acid attack victim and her struggles... And we had articles informing us that Chandini gets anxiety attacks...and Shivani herself said that the girl had been through a lot in life. So we assumed her to be a less cheerful girl which might not be the case at all
Your question is valid. Its not in books that such ppl gets into depression ... completely agreed. But doesnt such ppl have tendency to be scared of world around? Why do we expect each and every heroine to be super humans who somehow learns to smile in spite of tragedy? shouldnt we also see a character who is struggling to come in terms with past? No one said Chandini is meek ... just sad and soft spoken. There is a difference. Ppl can be loud and smart but they can lack inner strength. Doesn't make one boring and other interesting.
Also there is a difference in what ppl see based on their own maturity and age. What you find meek and typical at this age might appeal to someone who has seen life differently. At some age you find bubbly characters fun... partying fun...bollywood fun ... and then at some other time a nice book and a coffee on a rainy day is fun. So when you find Chandini bland now, I might find her silly if she dance around and keep smiling all the time. So yah its all perspective too.
