EK RAAT KA SAATH...😳

PART 1

Mumbai

She sat by the Queen's necklace staring at nothing particular except the crashing waves against the tetrapods which somewhere depicted her current situation i.e. her dream, her last and only wish could not be fulfilled. Her dream to cheer for the county team which was captained by her favourite player, if not meeting him at least to see him closely, to be part of his victory. She sighed as a lone tear escaped her beautiful eyes. She herself was confused as to what hurt her the most the last and her only chance to be with her favourite player or the fact that she knew she won't be continuing with her passion anymore after this. She closed her eyes and her mind drifted to the happenings of the past 2 days.

2 days back...

She informed Raj about her boarding the flight with a bright smile pasted on her lips. However, Raj replied with just a "Hmm. Strange she thought since there have been very few times when she got such reverts from him usually the reason would be "I was busy" hence she ignored it. It was good 2 hr journey. She came out of the Mumbai airport and saw a driver holding a placard bearing her name.

Chandini - Hi, its me, Chandini

The driver took the luggage and placed it in the car.

Chandini - Umm. Raj didn't come?

Driver No mam, Sir said he is busy. He told me to drop you at the hotel and he would catch up with you in the evening.

Chandini smiled and sat in the car. On the way she recalled how she met Raj 1.5 yrs back in Delhi. He was on a business trip then and was on his way to office when his car had crashed with another car. She was returning from the temple when she witnessed the accident and immediately took him to the hospital. He was really indebted to her and had given her his business card asking her to contact him whenever she comes to Mumbai.

3 days later when she was going to bed she saw a card falling from her purse. That is when she read the contents of the card carefully and her eyes widened with excitement and joy as she read his designation PR manager of ASR. Her happiness knew no bounds then, she immediately contacted him and asked him to meet her the next day at a coffee shop.

Raj - So, madam, how can I help you?

Chandini - See, first of all I don't want you to think that I called you to return the "favour I did by helping you. Heck, it was not even a favour, it was just a pure act of humanity. Nothing else.

Raj smiled at her innocence and gestured her to continue further.

Chandini - I read on your visiting card that you are PR manager of ASR.

Raj nodded in agreement and somewhere he had guessed that she would ask him to make her meet him. He sighed thinking her to be another fangirl. But her next words shocked him.

Chandini - You see I am a big fan of cricket especially David Warner. I want to cheer for him and his team "Southern Rangers. Will you be able to help me to get into his team as a CHEERLEADER? I am ready to give the auditions but as far as I know they deploy the cheerleaders randomly to any team. That is where I need your help.

She saw Raj with expectant eyes who inturn was looking at her with shock written all over his face. She snapped her fingers at him that is when he came out of his reverie.

Chandini - Where are you lost? Did you listen what I said?

Raj nodded absentmindedly. Chandini beamed with joy and clapped her hands like a child. Raj just kept gaping at the girl who was not a fan of his best friend, ASR but his arch rival on field..David Warner. This was really amusing. Probably the only girl who didn't crush on ASR.

Raj - Though it is not a big task, still I can't guarantee you that I will be able to place you in the "Southern Rangers.

He saw her face falling with dejection.

Raj - Hey, don't be sad, I will try my level best. You just concentrate on brushing up your cheerleading skills and give your best in the auditions. I am sure you will get selected. Remember the auditions will be in Mumbai starting from next week which means you have only 7 days left. Have you filled in the application form I guess tomorrow is the last day.

He saw Chandini panicking when he said that. However, he reassured her that his team will fill her application on her behalf and asked her for the required details.

Chandini - I am not panicking about the late entry.

Raj looked at her questioningly.

Chandini - The thing is my family doesn't know that I am interested in cheerleading. If by any chance they saw me on the television screens I can't even imagine what they will do with me. She just shivered at the thought.

Raj thought for a while and came up with an idea.

Raj - That is not a problem. They will never see Chandini on TV because Chandini won't cheer for the team CAROL will.

He looked at Chandini sheepishly hoping that she got his plan. She appeared confused for few seconds but slowly she understood what he meant.

Chandini - But all my documents are in the name of Chandini Vashishth. My photo ID, Voter ID, PAN Card everything. How come will you arrange these documents on Carol's name?

Raj - Ouch,, You are doubting my capabilities now. Don't forget I am ASR's PR MANAGER. This is just a petty issue. I will take care of that. So it is decided that you will cheer as CAROL VINCENT with a blonde hair wig. See you in Mumbai, Chandini. It seems you are coming to Mumbai for the first time. Don't worry I will arrange for your travelling and accommodation. You just concentrate on your practice. Call me a day prior so that I can give you all the details. I think I should take your leave now. All the best.

She genuinely smiled at him and muttered "Thanks.

Raj - This is nothing compared to what you have done for me.

6 days later she found herself standing at Mumbai airport. Only she knew what lies she had summed up in front of her family just to meet her crush, to fulfil her passion. Raj had herself come to pick her up and drove her to a decent 3 star hotel. However, he could sense her discomfort.

Chandini - Raj, can we move to some other hotel. Umm. Like some 5 star hotel?

Raj looked unsure about it.

Chandini said softly "I can afford it

He got her boarded in "The Trident one of the best hotels in Mumbai. The next day she auditioned and cleared every round and made it amongst the final group of cheerleaders. Raj had bribed the selectors to place her in the "Southern Rangers and hence she was the head cheer girl of the team. She thanked Raj with a small ice cream treat.

Raj - So, are we friends now?

Chandini - I thought we were friends already. You know you are my first guy friend.

Raj - Well, I am really special then and winked at her

Chandini - Thank you for whatever you did for me. Itna toh koi apno ke liye bhi nhi karta (No one does so much for anyone)

Raj - Yaar, tussi emotional kar ditta. (You made me emotional). He wiped his fake tears. Didn't you hear that "Dosti mei no sorry no thank you.

She laughed heartily at his comment probably after a long time.

The county cricket started with full zeal and enthusiasm however Chandini's happiness was short lived as her crush David Warner was injured and couldn't make it to the tournament. She was really depressed as she was so near to her goal yet she failed. She was miserable and had cried her out in front of Raj. He himself had no words to console her but had just reassured her that she can cheer him next year. With heavy heart she cheered for his team eventhough he was not a part of it. Once the tournament was over she bade a tearful goodbye to Raj who had promised her that he will be in touch with her. Since then, they would occasionally whatsapp each other about their well-being, forward some jokes etc.

This year too Raj informed her about the schedules and locations of auditions and took care of her travelling and accommodation arrangements. She was really thankful to her Shivji for giving her a friend like Raj. The only guilt rather fear was that she had again lied to her family.

She was broken out of her thoughts when the driver told her that they reached the hotel. She paid the driver, took her keys from the reception, checked in to her and decided to take a good afternoon nap before meeting Raj.

In the evening, there was a knock at her hotel room and saw Raj standing there with a dejected look on his face.

Raj - Hey, how are you? Long time?

Chandini - I am fine Raj, but tell me what is wrong with you. Come in first.

He got himself seated on the bed and made Chandini seat besides him. Taking her hands, he said

Raj - Look, I am not going to beat around the bush. I want to say that..that..

Chandini noticed that he was fumbling with the words. He closed his eyes and said

Raj - I am really sorry. You are not selected for Southern Rangers. You were selected in the last minute plus even I was not in town when the selectors made the final placements. You have been placed in AS...

He didn't continue further as he saw her looking at him shocked and slowly removing her hands from his hold. Her eyes started becoming watery. He knew how important this was for her. Probably her last and only chance, she had said him the other day they were on a call.

Raj - Say something Chandini.

Raj coaxed her to say something but she was still in daze as realisation dawned on her that all her hopes her crashed now. He shook her hard and that is when she started crying loudly.

Raj - Calm down. Chandini. I am so sorry.

But she couldn't hear anything except the sound of her only wish breaking into pieces. After sometime, she relaxed and asked Raj not to apologise as she knew he was not at fault.

Chandini - Raj, you cannot change what is written in the destiny. If my Shivji wants to fulfill my wish he will do it by any other way. You are not responsible for this.

She wiped her tears and happily asked him about the team in which she was placed.

Raj - You are placed in "Western Knights which is captained by ASR.

Chandini - Hmm was all she replied

For once Raj chuckled at her bored expression when she replied him. If there would have been any other girl in her place she would have been on cloud 9 that she will be cheering for ASR. But he also knew Chandini was, is and will always be an exception.

Raj - I think I should take your leave now. From tomorrow the practice will start in NCPA. Don't forget to don your blonde wig. And again I am really sorry.

Chandini - Its fine Raj. I understand. Good night.

She closed the door, rushed to the bed and cried soundlessly on the pillow. Like she had been doing almost everyday at her home. Next day she had mentally prepared and assured herself that she will definitely meet her star in some way or the other. Like there are 2 matches between Southern Rangers and Western Knights this means they would stay in the same hotel or she could just ask Raj for a help to arrange a meeting. With positivity in her mind she started off her day and practiced vigorously. The next day also passed on quickly. After the dinner she had come outside to take a stroll which is when she was attracted to the serenity of the Arabian Sea and then she found herself sitting by the Queen's Necklace.

Advay drove rashly towards his hotel "The Trident after badly thrashing the media guy. It suddenly started raining heavily. Ah! The Mumbai weather you see. He suddenly wanted to get rid of his worries and tensions. He stopped his car and looked out to see if there was any crowd. Though being a celebrity he liked all type of attention he equally hated it when he was deprived of his own space. Since it was around 11:30 pm the roads were fairly empty and also due to rains it was next to impossible for anyone to identify him. He got out of the car and sat on the bonnet of the car enjoying the soothing feeling. His eyes shot open when he heard the tinkling of the anklets and a relaxing giggle.

She was lost in her thoughts when big fat rain drops started pouring down and then in a matter of seconds it started raining cats and dogs. She was wearing a white chudidaar which was completely drenched now. She looked at her surroundings to avoid any kind of unwanted attention but sighed when there was no one around except few street kids who were enjoying the first rains of the season and a chai ki tapri along the roadside. In no time the kids pulled her with them and she started dancing with them freely like a bird forgetting everything. She was doing funny steps with them and herself started laughing heartily with he kids.

That is when Advay heard giggling sound, he opened his eyes, only to see a woman no an angel in white dancing with the purest souls the children. Automatically, a smile crept up on his lips seeing her doing weird steps. He was unable to see her face since her face was covered by her hair and she was swaying happily also the rain had created a blurry vision in front of him. She was doing a step where she put both her hands full of bangles in front of her face and moved it aside slowly that is when he saw her deep blue orbs. He was suddenly lost in those eyes and felt himself tightened with need just by looking in her eyes. He was shocked at his own body and tore his gaze away from her and ran a hand through his thick black locks. He suddenly wanted to see her again, he turned only to find her drinking a hot cup of tea and smiling with the kids. That's when she became fully visible to him since it was not raining heavily. He allowed his eyes to roam freely on her hair which reached upto her waist, her deep blue eyes, the redness on her cheeks, her swan like neck from where the water drops trickled and found their way in between her valley. He had this sudden urge to lick every drop off of her neck. His eyes roamed a little down to her bosoms which were dangerously heaving and he concluded that she was the best shaped woman he had ever come across.

His trance was broken when it again started raining heavily and the kids ran away while she was still standing a bit away from the tapri enjoying her hot cup of tea. He found himself walking towards her in a daze and stood in front of her. Chandini was totally unaware of her surroundings but suddenly she felt goosebumps all over her body as she felt someone staring at her intently. She raised her eyes and found a tall, brooding figure standing in front of her. She could see his hazel eyes and shivered at the intensity with which they were gazing her. Her lips quivered and his eyes immediately moved to the drop of tea which was on her lower lip. His eyes suddenly became dark with desire and in no time he leaned forward slowly to suck that drop off her lips.

The moment he touched her lips he could feel thousands of electricity waves gushing through his body. His hands on their own accord moved to her waist and the other on her nape to adjust her face. She stood there shocked at his audacity and her body went numb and she closed her eyes in bliss. What started as a soft sucking, suddenly turned passionate as Advay turned uncontrollable. He massaged her waist in order to make her respond as he felt he would die if she didn't participate. And then it happened she started moving her lips over his massaging his hair with her hands and Advay could swear that he was never seduced a mere kiss. But this girl who he doesn't even know had just seen her minutes back found himself drawn to her in the most passionate way one could ever imagine. He sucked at her lips, bit her and earned a moan from her. He pushed his tongue inside her mouth and tasted all the corners and crevices of her mouth. He could feel her legs becoming jelly and he pushed and steadied her against a wall without removing his lips from hers. He found her responding equally to his touch and that provoked him to kiss her more hard.

This feeling she had just imagined. It was happening in real. Her wish that her first kiss should be in rain was coming true. She was unable to think anything further the moment he crashed her lips with his, she felt as if she was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Strangely, she didn't want to stop him.

She moaned again and that is what broke him out of the trance. He himself shivered at the intensity of her mere kiss. He scanned her face only to see the blush creeping up her cheeks which proved the intensity of their kiss. He saw her heaving chest trying to catch the oxygen but her eyes were still closed. He suddenly became aware of their surrounding and giving her a soft peck on her lips disappeared in the dark. She opened her eyes only to find herself alone in the dark alley. And then she recalled the kiss, she just ran towards the hotel room and slid down the door.

She touched her now swollen lips, she could still feel his touch. Strangely, she was smiling and blushing like a bride. She hid her face in her palms. She had done the forbidden, her body was reserved for her husband, wasn't it? She didn't regret even a bit of it. She changed into fresh set of night clothes and carried herself to the bed still blushing. In no time she was drifted in the most blissful sleep of her life.

He entered his hotel room, went to the bathroom and had a cold shower to calm his raging nerves. He pushed his hair back as he was unable to erase that kiss from his mind. "Dammit he said. He went towards the bar and made himself a drink. The clock struck 1 am still he was drinking the kiss still playing in loops in his mind. He carried himself to the bed murmuring "I will find you my angel
