brinjal is english it is the term in Oxford dictionary as well which is followed in india.

My favourite name for it is Aubergine (in English and also in German). The funny thing is that when I say "Aubergine" in India... not one person except for my parents and brother understand... 😛 😆 😆

Thanks SLV3, thaks Susan (yes it's a remotely controlled hijack operation 😊 ), thaks Meena (Brinjols are definitely an anti-climax for all the fusss they made 😃 ) and thanks pallavi (I'll try to make something with Kash in it 😊 )

kaushikbasu-ji, Brinjal is the right spelling but it's more fun to say Brinjol, at least for the duration of this show 😉

blot-ji, out here folks understand all 3 terms (our supermarkets are very globalised 😃 ) but I like brinjal

Chetan's wife said she is going to make him his fav dishes..so we should send her brinjol special menu list

1.Soups-- Brinjal soup

2. Salad--Brinjal salad

3. Appetizer--Eggplant crisps

4. Entree--eggplant parmesan pasta, Eggplant bharta, Egg plant nan, stuffed eggplants

5. Dessert--Eggplant kheer😆

Never knew anyone would like that veggie so much😳
