What Made you Stop Watching Ishqbaaz?

There have been a lot of posts about the good parts of Ishqbaaz but I was curious as to what made you stop watching?

For me, I started to get put off when the writers started giving Annika insecurities about her looks while Shivaay was portrayed as a catch despite the fact that Surbhi looked better on the show as Annika over all.

I guess this is where the differences between Indian and Overseas beauty standards come to play (I am from a place where female Indian beauty means clear dusky skin, full lips, and curves; not fair skin / thin / short), but as this show generated a lot of income for Star Plus overseas it would have been nice for the writers to at least consider us!

I finally switched off during the ep where she had insecurities about Shivaay leaving her when she got older. It was hard to swallow considering Surbhi looked like a supermodel even with white hair, while Nakuul looked at least 10 years older than her.

You took it quite personally it's a drama watch it with a grain of salt and insecurities happens in every relationship we aren't blind to how many men marry younger brides in their late 40s. As for Nakuul looking older than that's because he is older than Surbhi by 7 years I think. For me it's not about Shivaay/NM is hotter or Annika/SC is gorgeous it's about how they look together & how well they've given justice to Shivika sirf ek ki mehnat nahi hai both have given equal afford and we should respect it.

That's when my mum stopped watching in favour of Bepannah. She loved Ishqbaaz like a crazy person up to that point!!

I started watching the show for obros and gradually fell in love with Shivika too, but I stopped watching the show when in the redux OmRu turned against their brother

rikara being sideline after the bareilly track is when i left the show and used to see rikara scenes once a month that too on instagram or twitter whenever possible but niti coming in 2nd season is what made me see the show
