I knew the show "ruiner" (credit Nihara) cannot dig herself from the abyss of writer's block or loss of inspiration (I call it writer's block to show a modicom of respect for her as she gave me iconic Shivika if I have to be truthful and just) but she is showing me daily the depths to which she has fallen from the standard. What was the episode today? I guess the purpose was to show a bubbly,soft hearted girl with spunk and the panache to see through difficult situations,but why did it turn out so lame? The girl is an orphan with relatives even hell will think twice before giving entry and who has not a penny to her name but as any other Indian television soap heroine she has dyed and straightened hair with nary a flick disturbed,falling like a curtain; big chaandbalis in her ears,mascara,eyeliner,
blusher and the works absolutely spot on! Kuch toh reality dikahao! Even Bollywood is changing,those formula movies which are miles away from reality are biting the dust;so what about Tellywood? I know even in season one Annika wore tops from Zara and I had rolled my eyes even then but they had shown her working so I had made my mind assume that the clothes were "sasta" copies.
Next what is this repititive irritating dialogue "kisne bola?"---"Maine".The girl makes up instant quotes and everybody like a parrot asks her about these "famous" quotes.Once it was fine,second time is was acceptable but third time it was downright irritating. 😡
Next,she goes to the hospital where a supposed large crowd of fans of movie star and heartthrob Shivaansh Singh Oberoi are blocking the entry but we get to see hardly a handful of people who we find even in a bus stand and if we assume this crowd is blocking the gate then I am right in assuming that even this particular shot is a cost cutting move by Gul who cannot afford even a dozen more extras!
The absolute lulz was when the female lead catapulted a stone at Shivaansh supposedly to divert the attention of the crowd from the hospital entrance.A girl aims a stone by a catapult standing in a crowd when people are pouring even over her shoulders and nobody notices????????? Harneet ka dimaag kitna paustic hain ki wahan se yeh idea ke phool khil rahe hain???? I bow to her for the sheer idiocy and dedicate the "Booker of lulzy writing" to her.
Also,the child with Mannat is supposed to be ill with asthma like symptoms but both of them creep and crawl through the crowd of only 10 people to reach the doctor!
Talking about diseases and hospitals, Shivaansh suffers from terminal heart problems but has no issues in pillow fights with flying feathers.People with cardiac illness have shortness of breath and anything that compromises the airway is forbidden but Shivaansh cooly stands with nary a sneeze,cough or breathlessness!
Devil wearing feminine clothes and jewellery to make himself appear effeminate gives some chills to the viewers a la Sadashiv Amrapurkar as Maharaani in the movie "Sadak" ---I get it, but the unknown masked villain in DIB just raised the level of irritation in me. For Gods sake,they show him wearing the mask in public roads while driving! And he knows Mannat's devil chaachi too and manipulates her to get Mannat into Oberoi Mansion. So,after 2 episodes, the female lead will start living in Oberoi Mansion as a housekeeper,trip and fall in the path of Shivaansh Singh Oberoi so that the copyrighted RK pose can be copy pasted on the new couple.
Dear Gul Khan and Harneet Singh, I am seriously pissed and disappointed. I am worldly enough to know how the Indian tellysoap industry works and how each show is actually the rehash of similar themes but the mastery is when you can project the sameness in unique manner--thats when you get respect from the viewers.What you are doing is cheap copying and cheating like students who turn up in exams without studying and who want to take the faulty and bad route to success. Success will not be durable if the basic is not right and I am sorry to state that your "FRESH" script is actually cat poop at present.
About the new female lead, I reiterate I will give her time.She has an expressive face and if handled well can deliver,but this substandard script and the baggage that Gulneet has burdened her with is a serious impediment.
Deart Nakuul Mehta,please watch what you are thrusting on our face these days;see for yourself what you are doing and how your character is coming up.Take in honest criticism in a positive manner and try to do justice to yourself without taking things wrongly in your heart.I absolutely adored you as Shivaay Singh Oberoi but I am sorry,I am too underwhelmed by the way you are playing the character of Shivaansh now.ðŸ˜
