Hello friends,
I am back after a break. I was disappointed as I was not getting the expected / deserving response from readers. So although I had written this update a while ago , I didn't feel like posting it, I wanted to detach myself from the forum. But I am posting it now as this story did get a lot of love and comments from many consistent readers.
I hope this update will fill the gaps and meet your expectations - do let me know how you like it?
I value your opinions and if you comment and hit the like button, it might motivate me to update my other stories. 😊
So, here it goes - a VERY LONG update - 4200 words approx.
INFALLIBLE ATTRACTION
EPILOGUE
Life- no rules apply when one falls in love and time - is of no consequence': Wisdom itself!
Next day at the breakfast table, Jhanvi and Rudra were the only participants so far, waiting for Omkara and Gauri, when Rudra shifted one chair to sit next to Jhanvi.
"Maasa, shall I tell you a secret? I am sure you will be interested in knowing this one. Rudra prided himself in knowing all the news and gossip around the palace; he even made some up sometimes, only to see his mom and bhai smile due to his silly antics.
"Rudra, I know for sure you will tell me even if I try to stop you. So off you go Jhanvi smiled buttering her toast.
"Maasa, I think something is cooking between Bhai and G. Bhai is always upsetting G for some reason or another and he himself behaves strangely when she is around as if cat got his tongue. What do you think it is, do they hate each other? Rudra was almost whispering clandestinely.
"Stale news, Rudra. I know this already, do you have anything else, fresh off the press for me Jhanvi was laughing at the naivety of her younger son.
Rudra was just about to protest when he noticed Omkara walking to the dining table and G as well, from the other direction.
"Good morning everyone Jhanvi noticed the extra confidence in Omkara's voice and his smile was reaching his eyes this morning.
Gauri on the other hand, was smiling, more like blushing profusely. She sat in her usual seat which was next to Rudra, only to find Omkara sit next to her instead.
"That is my seat bhai Rudra complained.
"Well, too bad Rudy, you were sitting on another seat so... Omkara acted all innocent.
He then smiled at Jhanvi and not looking at Gauri bent down and took her left hand in his right hand, engulfing it and caressing her palm.
Gauri was shocked, at first for him sitting next to her and now he was acting like a horny teenager in front of his family! Gauri's cheeks went from pink to red, whilst she struggled to get out of his hold but unsuccessfully.
"G, why are your cheeks so red. Do you have fever? Are you feeling all right? Rudra enquired.
"No, nahin. Are they red? No, they are normal, aren't they Mr. Oberoi? she touched her cheeks and looked at Omkara hoping he will help her out of this predicament since he put her there in the first place.
"Yes, Miss Sharma. Rudy is right. Your cheeks are a dark shade of pink right now Omkara was enjoying this, still holding her hand.
"Acchoo Gauri sneezed, and the jerk helped her to get out of his hold, when she covered her nose and mouth with both her hands.
"Are you ok Gauri beta? Jhanvi was concerned.
"Acchoo this time it was Omkara sneezing.
"What's up with both of you? Did you get wet in the rain last night? Jhanvi was seriously concerned now.
"No, Maasa, nothing like that, I am ok Omkara was quick to reply.
"Ok. If you say so. Gauri beta, how was the interview, I want to know what my eldest has to say about me? Jhanvi was curious.
"Cough Cough "This time Gauri was coughing, not knowing how to reply.
"It was good Maasa, Miss Sharma will tell you later Omkara came to her rescue this time.
"Yes, Gauri you should rest today, looks like you are not well. Just give me the transcript of the interview and I will hear it Jhanvi tried to help.
"Acchoo. Cough , cough Gauri was getting more and more bothered and flushed now by the flurry of questions, how could she tell them what she was up to last night? And Omkara wasn't helping!
They had spent the night on the terrace, feeling the love, understanding the situation. They talked about the past few days, what was going on in their own heads, in their hearts, but they didn't need too many words between them, their eyes were enough to communicate. All the build-up , the attraction, frustration, anger, confusion, irritation from feeling what they didn't want to feel and not being able to express what they wanted to express , they took it out that night. They woke up when the first rays of sun hit them, only to realise they were in each other's embrace, and had been there all night.
"Omkara, now you can leave her hand, she needs to go and rest. This time Jhanvi looked straight at Omkara.
Gauri and Omkara gasped, they were stunned, Jhanvi had noticed, and caught them unaware.
Gauri got up quickly, blushing, she ran to the palace leaving the gardens, her dupatta floating behind her.
Omkara was looking at her leave, with a longing expression.
"RajaSa, some people have come to meet you for the land dispute. I asked them to wait until you finish your breakfast he was interrupted by Singh.
But what he said went on deaf ears as Omkara was completely preoccupied looking after Gauri who has just ran from his side.
"I will come with you Singh. RajaSa has other urgent matters to look at currently Jhanvi replied to Singh instead of Omkara.
With this she got up, stood behind Omkara's chair, squeezed his shoulders and said to him, "Go, talk to my daughter.
"MaaSa. You approve? Omkara looked at her expectantly.
"Of course, beta. Your choice is our choice and I have become very fond of Gauri ever since she arrived, she is the daughter I never had. I am very happy for both of you beta. You like her, don't you? Jhanvi gave them her blessings.
Omkara's face lit up and he rushed after Gauri, to give her the good news, whilst Rudra still sat at the breakfast table wondering what just happened and how he was completely clueless about what was going on!!
Gauri was running towards her room in rani mahal, and when she entered she found him standing near the balcony with a beaming smile on his face.
She ran straight into his arms, burying her head in his chest, her heart beating wild. She clutched him tight, holding on to him with her life and he embraced her with both his hands, kissing her on her hair.
"MaaSa is very happy he gave her the good news and Gauri breathed a sigh of relief.
They didn't realise how long they stood like that, lost in others embrace, feeling each other, listening to their heartbeats, remembering all those moments they wanted to do this, to be in others arms, each moment they denied themselves , it was just the two of them, the world did not exist.
"Hmmm they were interrupted by Rudy clearing his throat standing at the door.
They quickly separated with Gauri now facing Rudra, both of them anticipating what he was going to do or say. They longed for his approval, her friend, his little brother.
Rudra came towards them. At first looking grim and then suddenly when he was close to them he burst into laughter. He he he hehe
He then put both his arms around them and said, "Bhai, thank you so much, I was wondering how to keep G here forever and now I don't have to, she will be with us, here at Deogarh. G, we can continue with our sunset watching trips to the cliffs.
"BhabhiSa Rudra, not G Omkara corrected him, his possessive streak coming alive.
"Mr. Oberoi , Rudra and I have a pact, we are friends, he can call me G always this time it was Gauri standing up for her friend.
"Thanks G. But Bhai is also right, in public, you will be my BhabhiSa. I am so excited, we will have so much fun Rudra could not contain his happiness.
"Bhai, no more secrets, come on, show me the painting you are working on, now. Rudra ordered, Omkara was just about to protest when Jhanvi entered the room.
"Feeling better beta? Rudra don't trouble your brother, leave them alone. I am talking to Panditji to arrange am engagement soon. Will that be ok, Gauri? Jhanvi said in one breath. She knew the secret of the painting and understood Omkara had special plans for it.
Gauri looked down and blushed giving her approval and bent down to touch Jhanvi's feet, "I am honoured M'am
"No beta, we are honoured. And won't you call me MaaSa from now on? Jhanvi hugged Gauri.
Omkara saw this scene playing out in front of him, feeling his chest will explode with happiness and pride. When Jhanvi and Rudra left, he took Gauri in his embrace and said, " Thank you, you have made me so happy, Maasa and Rudra love you so much and so do... He stopped abruptly.
"And so do...? Gauri urged him on to complete the sentence, she wanted to hear those words...
Omkara didn't waste time in words, he showed her by taking her mouth in his, kissing her senseless, compensating for all those days of longing after their first kiss, how he wanted to do this badly since he first kissed her. She was really like the water in the oasis in his parched desert and he will have his full today.
"Are you happy? he asked Gauri with anticipation on his face, and she replied with a smile as bright as the day, filling him up with joy. They never needed too many words between them.
Six months laterThe palace was lit up like day in the night. It was the day of RajaSa's wedding and all of Deogarh and neighbouring states had turned up with royal guests, international aristocrats and members from high echelons of governments. And then there was everyone from the creative sector, all renowned painters and literary mammoths had come to grace this occasion, the wedding of their favourites Omkara and Gauri. The festivities carried on until late night and by the time the newly married were in their room, they were exhausted but excited, this was their first night. The dawn would bring a new beginning for them. They had waited for so long for this union.
"Do you have any idea how you beautiful you are? And you have bewitched me mind, body and soul.
Omkara spoke in his husky undertone holding both her hands and kissing her knuckles, mesmerised by the beauty before him. If he ever made the mistake of thinking that she couldn't be any more magical, every day she surprised him. And today, dressed as a royal bride, she looked like a goddess, in royal red, black and golden ensemble. He just couldn't take his eyes off her. Her eyes shone bright, just like the other night...inviting him to ravish her.
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere...
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Gauri was intoxicated, with his love. Omkara was hers now. How she had longed for him, desperately but had to keep her feelings in check, as she thought she didn't deserve him. A small town girl with no past and future, how could she hope for a king? And not just a king, a man like him, virtuous in all his ways, kind hearted, best of his kind and handsome as can be. He was everything she had read or not read in books, everything she had or she could ever dare to dream of. And today, a dream that she never dared to dream of even in her wildest imagination, had come true!
Sapno se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere
Sapno se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Omkara turned her around, such that she had her back to him, removing her jewellery from her head and releasing her hair from the clip, such that they came tumbling down like a black cascade, filling him with her aroma...
Dhoonda dhoonda hain tujhe aakash upar tale
Shayad kisi badri main lipti hui tu mile
A shiver ran down Gauri's spine. They had been close in the past six months, often kissing and making out when occasion permitted during their courtship period, but today was their ultimate union, and she had no idea what he was capable of making her feel. Right now, just by letting her hair out and holding her so close, he had parts of her body energised that she didn't dare to think of...like a river was running through them...
Dhoonda dhoonda hain tujhe aakash upar tale
Shayad kisi nadiya pe, chalta hua tu mile
"I have a surprise for you, your first night gift. Omkara whispered in her ear and led her to the boudoir holding her hand. They were standing before a life-size easel covered in a satin sheet with a bow tied around it like a gift.
"Please RaniSa, do the honours. Omkara led her close to the easel and opened the bow with both their hands.
The satin cloth slipped off the easel revealing a painting of Gauri in her pink ensemble from that night! Gauri was shocked would be an understatement. She was looking at a life-size portrait of herself, captured in all its details, by her love himself. She could not contain her joy and hugged him tight, turning around with tears of joy in her eyes.
"You know Gauri, I tried and I tried to capture that light you had in your eyes that night which did things to my insides when I looked at you and I knew I had to take you, else I would combust there and then, but I failed. I did take you, kissed you that night but I failed to bring that light. Omkara had his head buried in her shoulder; he was holding her from the back.
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere...
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Gauri lifted her hand and caressed his hair on her shoulders, when he raised his head and kissed her on the neck and then spoke in her ears.' I have wanted you since that night, every moment, every breath.
He then took her earlobe in his mouth and sucked it, sending spine-tingling shivers down Gauri's body.
Maine samay rok ke, tera pata poonch ahain
Neeli nadi se kah ke saagar tale dhundha hain
Omkara touched her palm and traced his way up to her shoulder, her shoulder blade, her neck and her ears, taking out the ear-ring form the lobe he had just almost eaten. "Only I can do this, remove your jewellery, touch you like this Gauri, thank you for being mine. His voice was seductive and Gauri felt herself drowning, her legs giving way, such that she felt she can hold no longer and started to collapse...
Lahron pe chalet hue paani ke phan chute hain
Jaise tere yeh haath ho, mera yeh tan chute hain
Blood rushed down to Gauri's intimate parts, she was wavering, he was kissing her neck and ears, holding her arms when he felt her slipping and bent down to carry her to their bridal bed.
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere...
Roshni se bhare bhare, bhare bhare naina tere
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
Chhoo kar bole naa chhoona mujhe
They made love to each other, discovering each other like never before, tonight they were on a new journey, of intimacy. Omkara wanted to drink her such that he will never ever have to long for that light, and Gauri wanted to be one with him to never be separated. He brought her to orgasm several times during the night, last time it happened, they were sitting up, the white stain sheets wrapped around their otherwise naked bodies. Gauri fell back on the bed facing him, her hair falling on all sides, when he came down on her kissing her lips and playing with her hair.
Gauri was uninhibited now, she didn't want anything more than this, she wanted to be so close to him, she moved up again, embracing him, taking his ears in her mouth, engulfing his diamond studs, which she loved. It added to his regal look. They slept, only when the twilight started surfacing on the horizon, and dawn was knocking on the door, to be woken up early for more wedding rituals.
Gauri was drying her hair looking at the full-length mirror when Omkara came and embraced her from behind, digging his head on her shoulders.
"So what shall I call you from now on? he asked smirking, "My love, Gauri darling, or RaniSa?
Gauri looked back at him in the mirror, caressing his hair with her palms, "You are only allowed to call me any of first two, when it's just us two. Understood, RajaSa? Gauri was blushing.
"As you say RaniSa. Aapka hukum sar aankhon par. Omkara laughed and bit her on her neck quickly before smirking and offering her his hand. Gauri was blushing, the sound of RaniSa from his mouth was magic to her ears.
When the royal couple walked out of their room, and made their way to the palace balcony to greet a huge crowd that had gathered to wish them, they mesmerised everyone who looked at them, their glowing faces giving evidence of their joy. They felt happy. Tonight, they were flying to South Africa for their honeymoon where it would be just the two of them.
One year laterJhanvi Singh Oberoi was very happy. Today was not only the launch of her biography but Gauri and Omkara had just given her news which was best news ever. She was now going to retire from all stately duties and enjoy this new relationship.
"Maharaj Tej was strolling in the courtyard when she saw him from behind and sensing his worry, approached him. He turned to look at her, covering up his concern, bringing a smile on his face...
Gauri was reading from her just published book:
The Deogarh Chronicles Life and times of Rajmata Jhanvi Singh Oberoi
By: Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi.
She was feeling conscious not because this was first public reading of her book, but because she could feel the intense gaze from a figure standing in the corner, next to the piano, staring at her unabashedly and incessantly, as if there was no tomorrow. The small hair on her neck was standing up, goose bumps appearing everywhere, when she felt his eyes throwing the heat at her back, engulfing her in a thrilling mist. She was lost, in that feeling, even after all this time, he could melt her like hot wax just with a look. All she wanted was to escape from the room, and find solace in his arms.
It was an important day for her, for all of them. Launch party of her first published book, and a very important one at that the biography of her Maasa. All the eminent guests from the riyasat , all over India and abroad were gracing the occasion. And the cream of all media and literary world had turned up, what with her book getting rave reviews from all famous editors in the country.
Omkara couldn't have been more proud of his RaniSa. He still could not believe how he had got so lucky to have her in his life. Someone who did not believe in love, who was too afraid to admit even to himself, when he was falling for her, he had eventually found the courage so as not to lose her. She looked ravishing to him even in perfectly innocent attire, in a black and golden saree with a blouse which had length sleeves and a collar, a perfect ensemble meant for queens. She had adorned minimal jewellery as she always preferred but her smile was enough to light up the entire room like it was filled with a million jewels. And she belonged to him! His Gauri!
His smirk broadened and became a smile when he thought about the contents of the book he had finally managed to lay his hands on this morning, when she was busy making arrangements for the event. Her journal! She kept it hidden from prying eyes, especially him, but today in a hurry she had left it on the study table. A treasure trove - where she confided all her thoughts, good and bad, small and big, most importantly what she felt, and most of the book was filled up with him. Yes, she had written about him.
Contents of Gauri's journal:
"The way he looked at me, I felt drawn towards him; I felt there was no other right then at that moment, but being in his arms. And he did take me in his arms ...
Omkara had only flipped through the journal and read the page of the day when they had first met, not met, kissed! He smiled; their story was so different yet so natural. It was not just that they were meant to be; but that it was going to happen like this exactly like this he wouldn't change anything about it. But he had plans for today and was waiting for the book event to end and then he would show her, just how she made him feel...always.
Two years later"Ole, ole Ved, see ChachaSa is becoming responsible now, all because of your mum, G, my best friend. She encouraged me, motivated me and gave me her time. We go out to the cliff every other week, when she is around, not fulfilling her other duties, she takes pictures and I write. I have become a published writer now, just like her. And I will tell you all about it. Rudra Singh Oberoi was talking to a one and a bit year old baby boy lying in the crib.
Rudra was in his room. He had offered to babysit his nephew whilst his mom and dad were busy with each other. They didn't have to bribe Rudra, he loved his bro and G spending time together, they were the light in his life. And he liked looking after Ved, although he knew there were many servants and nannies in the royal palace, but he always stepped in when Ved was not with his Grandma or his parents. Rudra liked chatting with Ved, telling him about his day and his plans.
"INFALLIBLE ATTRACTION By R Singh (Alias - Rudra used for his writing)
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to any person living or dead is purely co-incidental. This story is not meant to hurt any individual or their respective beliefs.
Prologue: The spring had arrived in Bandhavgarh and the royal family was having breakfast in the open, under the sun. The young prince's cousins were visiting and he was busy entertaining them.
There was another new addition to the household...
He was sitting at his writing desk, typing on the laptop, whilst Ved coochie coo'ed for his ChachaSa's attention. Rudra was happy that this tale would be an easy one to tell as he had witnessed it first-hand. Little did he know that some happenings were only between the lovers, like their first meeting, which was their secret, and infallible attraction had drawn them to each other that fateful night...
That same time of the day, in Rajasa's palace:Two souls were lost in each other, Rajasa had taken break from his stately responsibilities and Ranisa had just completed her third book. They had Rudra looking after little Ved and Rajmata had gone to visit one of her cousins. They had each other all to themselves. When he pulled the string of her blouse dori looking into her eyes captivated, he remembered how she looked that night when he first saw her,and all the feelings and memories came flooding to both of them:
Their first kiss:
I don't know you, but I want you, all the more for thatThem avoiding each other for the next few days:
Words fall through me, and always fool me, and I can't reactHim bringing Ishana to the breakfast table trying to fight this affliction:
Games that never amount to more than they're meant will play themselves outThem wanting to understand desperately what was going on, of how they felt:
Take this sinking boat and point it home, we still got timeThem wanting to hear from each other, the confession, the truth:
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice, you make it yoursHim feeling jealous, angry, frustrated, and desperate cornering her, yes, he was falling for her:
FALLING SLOWLY, eyes that know me and I can't go backAnd then his dam burst, his vision exploded and he realised that he did not want to suffer anymore:
You have suffered enough and warred with yourself, its time you wonHe wanted her, just like a boat needs its harbour, the bank of the river:
Take this sinking boat and point it home, we still got timeAnd then he confessed, on that rainy night, he made a choice to make her his:
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice, you make it yoursShe was shocked, stunned, but relieved, realising this is what she wanted, yes, she was falling for him:
FALLING SLOWLY, sing your melody, and I'll sing alongThey sang each other's melody as they made love to each other that night and every other night, the infallible attraction which had brought them together still strong as ever and they knew it would never fade.
END
So, this is really the end folks. 😆
What do you think? Did you like it?
Thanks to Miss Lizzie for character Ved, I have used her baby name for Rikara's first kid.
The song for their first night is 'Roshni se bhare bhare ' from movie Asoka
The song for the final part is ' Falling slowly' by Kris Allen.
So guys, I hope this update deserves some love and respect - so do give it some.
See ya.
Thanks
