Part 3 - Lost & Found..!!!
"Aaagh!" Frustrated Shivay convinced himself to leave her thoughts and return back to his old world, where only work was the life, void of emotions, where nothing else existed.
Determined on not paying heed to his careful self, he entered his cabin. He had shifted from the former place which had that sea patch on the way.
To get a change, he now started at their another work area. He was waiting for a meeting, for their new venture.
Some time later, he came out at the disturbing brawling noise. His brows furrowed more at the scene over the reception.
There was a young lady fervently shaking her head, her hair bouncing over the bag that hung on her shoulder, while her other hand moved animatedly supporting her arguments.
"Yaha kya ho raha hai?" His authoritative voice stopped everyone. Aware of his temper, all the staff silenced at once. Ignorant of who is behind, the lady turned, still in her tempo of arguments.
"Sir, dekhiye na yeh log kuch samaj hi nahi rahe..." Her eyes widened at the person in front.
"Tum!" He was taken aback "Kya hua!? Yaha kaise.." He started in hardly audible tone, still not believing his eyes. Everyone looked confused at the sudden change in his voice.
"Aap yaha!?" She threw back.
"This is my company, my office!" He stated which sounded more like a question.
"Whatever!" She dismissed nonchalantly. "I just wanted to cancel the contract. I can't do the album" She ordered turning in a hurry to leave.
"Why!?" He exclaimed the moment he gathered that may be she was talking about the album contract she won in the contest a few days back. He was surprised as to why would she leave such an opportunity.
"Because" She puased without turning "I don't want to" She replied coldly and walked away but couldn't move as Shivay held her wrist in reflex.
"Annie" His voice raised tightening his grip on her hand.
"I'm not bound for any explanation to you" She said trying to get her hand free.
"Of course you are!" He gritted his teeth, almost grabbing her to his cabin.
*
"Leave my hand" She hissed frowning.
"You can't run away every time Anika!" Shivay retorted emphasizing on her name. She raised her eyebrow at it, as they faced each other.
"So you found it, Mr. Shivay Singh Oberoy?" She matched his pitch, emphasizing on his surname, pausing at each word. Shivay left her hand, not getting her tone.
"What is the problem?" He could ask this much as a lump threatened to form in his throat which he bravely covered with words.
"I know how to live Shivay. I am an independent woman, who knows how to earn her bread and live with dignity" She said her eyes glistening up.
"Apne sapne pure karne, mujhe kisi ameerzade ko fasane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai" Her firing gaze looked hurt.
"I know you are a very khuddar type of girl. But why did you left me? Where were you? Your phone was constantly switched off..." He wanted to ask so much but was at a loss of words. Her last line agitated him more "And what do all this have to do with the contract..!?"
Anika looked at his perplexed face, his blue eyes mixed with so many emotions, relented her a bit. Though her mind was against, asking her to leave, her heart, made her lose words
"My family needed me. Jinse humne karza liya tha, they made it difficult for us to leave the house. I couldn't contact you." She breathed.
"Once I managed to reach the sea side, hopeful to see you there. Your concerned expressions somehow relieved me" She was saying in a low voice a little dreamy as her eyes twinkled. His expressions tensed up a bit.
"But one of their goon was around and I didn't want you to get involved in any danger" She continued alert, as he listened to her intently.
"I was about to leave when I heard some girls hovering on you that you came there everyday in a hope for a girl, who trapped a rich business tycoon like you to rave up her ambitions and dreams.."
"What!" He was blanked by this as his face turned stern.
"Aise gaa ke, baja ke kisi ko pataa nahi sakte... Do din bhi nahi lagenge usse bhulne mein..." Her eyes disgusted, her voice hurt as she continued.
"Mujhe to pata bhi nahi tha aap kon hai, aapka khandaan kya hai... I thought you to be someone like us only. Warna someone as rich as you, why would spend his these much time after a girl... Who's may be nothing compared to him..!?" He wanted to say...something but didn't know what!
"You were a special friend, whose soul somehow attracted me..." She wiped a stubborn tear that escaped her eye. This pinged his heart.
"That day I knew I had to leave. I tried to leave all your thoughts too.. And decided not to trouble you further." He scoffed at that but let her speak.
"Somehow I got to know about the biggest talent hunt event in the city. My hard work and luck made me win that too...This would have given me the strong kick start to my career...But again kismat..." She turned to face him again "Yaha aa ke pata chala, you own even this brand too...so"
"So yeh opportunity bhi chhod ke jaa rahi thi..." She looked away as he grabbed her shoulders.
"Music is an art Anika. Not many people are gifted with such talent as you have. You are pure Anika, just beautiful as your soul." He touched her right cheek lightly with a slight lingering smile.
"You are smart. Aise kaise kisi two rupees ke logo ki baato se tumhara dimag ghum gaya... Mujhe chhodne chali thi..." It was so hard to meet his gaze, as he looked intensely straight into her dark brown eyes..
"Paise hone se pyaar paane ka hakk kho jaata hai kya!?"
"Shivay!" She exclaimed.
"Shhh" She couldn't say a word as he had enough.
"You deserve to have all the success and fame. And definitely you'll earn all that on your own, with your hard work. Do this contract." She looked astonished at his deep, confident blue eyes.
"I'm sorry Shivay!" She looked down thinking atleast she she could have talked to him once.
What happened is happened. He didn't want to waste any moment now.. Slowly he made her look up to him, calmly cupping her face in his palms. This was his time and he was not ready to lose her again!
"The progress won't be easy Anika, you might need someone special to accompany you. Will you give me the chance to hold your hand and be with you in any ups and downs in this journey!?" He bent to her hight.
"Will you let me be the lucky one to have you and get lost in the beautiful symphony of life!? Anika, will you give me the right to find you by my side, to feel as happy and special as I feel when I'm with you, for lifetime!?" Her eyes brimmed up happily as he asked in a sweet husky voice.
"Together!" Nodding, she hugged him in an impulse as tears made their way.
"Pakka?" He held her, wiping her tears and added to lighten up the mood
"Chameli ki kasam?" He asked, raising his eyebrows, amused.
"Yup! Chameli ki kasam!" She chuckled widening her eyes. They laughed hugging each other, as he rested his chin on her head.
The game of time playing hide and seek, rested in peace as they got lost in each other and found the contentment and happiness they were seeking for!!!
