~ Billu - Ji ~

As synonymous were attitude and arrogance with SSO, so were his eyes. More precisely, the color of his eyes. The media always loved to refer to him as 'the man with blue eyes'. He tolerated and mostly ignored all that.

Another woe that his blue eyes had brought him was the nickname 'Billu'. As a child it hadn't mattered much to him. He was his beloved Dadi's Billu and he was more than okay with that.

But...then came Anika.

She was quite literally like a tornado in his life. She took up every aspect of his life, flung them at each other and created something chaotic. Yes, she was and still is the storm in his life.

He had hated it when she used to tease him by calling Billu. He truly hated it when she would call him Billu - Ji even after him telling her to stop, repeatedly. He had hated how her saying Billu affected him, how it made unwanted emotions and feelings rise in him.

He didn't know how or when between all the fights, all the ultimatums, and all the tadi he stopped hating her. He didn't know when he changed from Dadi's Billu to become her Billu Ji.

She made him feel like no one had ever made him feel before.

~ Panika ~

He had never met another person who loved water as much as his wife did. No, that was a wrong statement. The correct statement was : he had never met another person who loved throwing water at him as much as his wife did. Hell she was the only one who actually had the guts to do something so ridiculously stupid.

You know all those terms like 'trigger-happy' and 'shoot-to-kill' ? That was his Anika; except she didn't blow off his brain. She just liked to throw water at him. Be it 'poche-wala-pani' or a glass/jug of water or simply spitting water . . .she threw it all at him. And if water wasn't handy but they were near the pool...well then she threw him into the damned pool.

The water may help cool down his temper or rather hers but seeing his wife all worked up always managed to heat him up.

He loved his 'panika'. So what if his laundry bill was a bit much, it was always worth it in the end.

And I refuse to believe that angry, water throwing Anika hasn't ever managed to get SSO's motor running.
