Anika Ji went to the opposite direction..I was trying to understand what just happened when Omkara asked, "Chalein..??" I nodded and started walking behind him...
The garden was the most beautiful one I ever saw..the moonlight and the chilly air was only making the atmosphere angelic..I was walking beside him wrapping my hands around my arms.."Are you feeling cold..??", he asked in a voice filled with concern..I shook my head in a negative and he simply nodded..we walked for about twenty minutes and I was getting bored with the silence between us..being the chatter box as everyone says it's difficult for me to keep my mouth shut for a long time..so I decided to speak.."Aapke paintings bohot achhe hain..", I said and he looked at me with amusement..
"You saw my paintings..", he asked surprisingly and I grinned nodding..
He smiled big and said, "Thank you.."
I smiled and there was silence again..I signed and kept walking..but this time he broke the trance and asked, "Why are you so silent today..??"
"Kuch nehi..bass aise hi..", I said and he chuckled..
"What happened..??", I asked not understanding..
"I didn't know ke tum itni der tak chup reh sakti ho..", he giggled..
I was surprised realizing he actually observed me..a part of me was so happy with the piece of information.."Actually I'm not able to understand what to talk about..", I said honestly..
"It's okay, Gauri..we can talk about anything..", Omkara said..probably trying to make me feel comfortable..
I sighed in relief and said, "We can talk about anything some other day..I think I should leave before your family start asking me more questions.." I bit my tongue..I understood only after finishing that I should not have said the last sentence..I looked at him and found him smiling.."Woh..hum..actually humm...", I was trying to explain but he stopped me.."I know my family, Gauri..you don't need to explained anything..", he said and I was relieved that I didn't sound offensive to him..before he could ask anything else I said, "I need to leave before it's too late.."
"Can I drop you..??", he said with uncertainty..I wasn't sure if it's a good idea to let him drop me to my apartment..but the girl inside me drooling over Omkara Singh Oberoi couldn't resist and agreed..he was silent all the way to my apartment..even I didn't speak a word..I got down from his car and muttered a thank you for dropping me..he smiled and said, "My pleasure.."
He sat back to his car and I came to my room..spending time with him was like a dream to me..the one who always came to my dreams was standing in front of my eyes and we talked..I was on the seventh sky thinking about those moments..that long haired man always manage to make me feel something..I don't know what it is..but I know that he's the certain reason of my fastened heartbeats..I kept my hand on my chest and felt my heartbeats..they were uncontrollably faster..with a sign I went to my bed thinking about him..
My boss is really unpredictable..last night he was being the Sweetest Singh Oberoi me and today he's back to the Sadiyal Singh Oberoi mode..he even yelled at me saying I'm not concentrating on my work and handed over some more filed to work on..I somehow finished my work..but I couldn't be there for the movie that I planned to watch with Saumya..my valentine's day is totally ruined..though I don't have someone to spend the day..but I could have watched the movie...I was waiting for an auto and cursing my fate when someone tapped on my shoulder..I was already frustrated and people are hell bent on making me more irritated.."What is it..??", I asked turning around only to find Omkara standing there folding his arms..I was startled and embarrassed at the same time.."Aap..??", I managed to say and he giggled..maybe seeing my weird expression..
"Haan main..I came to meet Shivaay and I saw him yelling at his employees..so you guys had a bad day, huh..??, he asked and I nodded making a puppy face..
"What about having dinner together..??, he asked and my jaw dropped..I was startled and didn't know what to say..."I think it will help to lift up your mood..", he said with a smile..I agreed with hesitancy..
The dinner was silent..we ate our food and I stole some glances from him...he casually asked some questions and I simply answered..we were waiting for the bill when all of sudden a waiter came and said, "Sir, we arranged a special dance for the couples..would you like to join..??"
I was shocked..how can someone think of us being a couple..I don't think we even look like friends...before Omkara could say anything I said hurriedly, "We are not a couple.."
"Sorry, ma'am..I thought...", the waiter was trying to say something but Omkara stopped him..
"It's okay...we'll be there in some time..", he said smiling and the waiter left...
"But Omkara..how can we just dance like this..?? We are not a couple..", asked confused..
"I know..but we can dance, right..??, he said and I nodded...
We were at the dance floor and some romantic song was playing in the background..I looked at the couples who were dancing holding each other very close..for a moment I wanted Omkara to hold me like that...as if reading my thoughts he pulled me closer by holding my hand and placed his other hand on my waist..I felt shivers running down through my spine and my knees weakened...he bend down and whispered in my ears, "Will you be my girlfriend, Gauri..??"
I felt my heart skipping a beat...I looked into his eyes trying to understand if he was really serious..and I could see those eyes darkening...
"Omkara, hum..I mean hum kaise..??", I stammered..
"I'm not really good with words..I don't know if I'll be able to make you understand..but the truth is I feel for you..", he said sincerely looking into my eyes and a lone tear escaped my eyes..
"Do you like me..??, he asked wiping away the drop of tear and I blushed..he's the only man who dared to linger in my dreams..he's the only man who made me feel those butterflies in my stomach..he's the only man whom I allowed to hold me so close...and one could easily say that I liked him...
I just nodded shyly..he giggled and pulled me more closer to his body..."So can I take the answer as positive..??", he asked mischievously and I put my hand on his shoulder murmuring a yes...
Done with the last part..Yes, the whole Oberoi clan was involved..but Omkie ne khud apni setting karwa liya.. 😆
