That's sorely missing in the past few weeks for me. And I agree, they need to cut the extras - which is incidentally what I meant when I asked if the writers would have guts enough to not fall prey to "extra demands" 😆 Because their track record till now shows that they won't. All the things you said should happen, SHOULD HAPPEN. Ques I asked is - will GulNeet have the guts to do it?

I wouldn't really say Shivika progression is totally missing. Last week they showed Shivaay struggling with wanting this family to be together for Rudy's wedding (lame as that entire premise is), Anika stepped up, made the video call, got Daadi to give him encouragement, supported him in bringing everyone together and the same Shivaay who insists on doing everything on his own terms, then thanked her and admitted that he will ALWAYS want her support at every step in life...that to me is deffo progression

Unfortunately this little progression is a small drop of mercy in a week otherwise filled with flying pizza assassin, lame role reversals and random dance sequences.

So this is why I feel the writers WANT to show incremental Shivika progression but keep getting sidetracked into aimless fillers of dance sequences, group fillers for token SS and overall drag.

Agree with your last statement...Gulneet need to cut loose the excess baggage dragging down the show...whether they have the guts to do it or not will ultimately decide IBs's fate long term😆

Likhwa lo that's how it's going to go. Track record hai. Promos have lately been good but they just end up with lame villain overdose, then family tamasha that's just there for no reason. Na family main progress atee hai, na ShivIka main. Then back to sq 1. So you can see I'm over the circle

What can Shivika even explore? They seem fine the way they are.

List banaun kia? 😆 Itna kuch hai yaar

What they're showing with this upcoming track - Shivaay rising above false family pride, Annika's past, A pregnant Annika, ShivIka as parents, Annika as a working woman, Shivaay as her support, Shivaay starting his own business, Shivaay ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING about villains for once. etc etc

Thing is - there's lots to explore about ShivIka but the writers seem stuck on showing token scenes. Which is why I think - if aisa kuch dikhaana nahee hai future main - then just end it na. Sab ka torture khatam kero.

Completely agree with this. And now it is very clear and loud that if they will do this one for all, all for one, then IB will not run. So they have to show Shivika centric track to make it run gracefully.

Yes, they have to show all this only, if they want it to run gracefully.

I agree the writing was never this bad, but I think the show would get better if the forced group scenes ended 😆

In the past, family scenes worked because the character were different, but now it doesn't work anymore because everyone is doing the same thing, at the same phase in life, and behaves the same. A particular character being shoved into the story line doesn't help either. The merge is responsible for the fun being zapped out of the family scenes.

I literally get hives every time someone says bahuyon *shudders* This aspect of morphing the women into a single being with matching clothes, same expressions, and same emotional reactions is gross. Even their backgrounds are exactly the same (even though in DBO Gauri and the ACP had their own past). Honestly, it seem like lazy writing to me writers think of an idea then copy and paste it on the other two.

Flipping through the channels there is still a lot of material for IB, but like you said for some reason writers don't want to explore it. Shivaay doesn't have trust strangers all the time, Anika doesn't need to have her life revolve around Shivaay, Gauri doesn't need to behave so silly, Om can actually do something instead of just talking and Rudra doesn't need to act like a manchild all the time.

There is no conflict between the characters and the "let's all braid our hair" is getting old. I say let Tejlana win and split the brothers up to capitalize on the angst. For Shivika, Anika can have a difference of opinion with Shivaay over something that's NOT trivial. Also I'm tired of the whole "she can't do anything" helpless avatar. She was handling herself just fine and did her share of saving 😆
NKK is gone, but for characters so different from each other there should be more differences.
