The presence of dadi at the Lohri celebrations at Goa is giving a sheen to the whole thing. The younger ones were missing the guiding hands of the older gen, blessings that are precious during the festivals, the traditions that are passed down from one generation to the next, especially when the whole Oberoi clan was split by loyalties and mistrust. Dadi brought the smiles along with the festive sweets, happiness returning to ShivOmRu's faces, who were keenly missing her.
The other feather was Khanna, the bumbling giant who asked his 'sir' if he missed him. Sure he was missed by Shivika and the rest of us. How cute of him to ask his 'Sirji' and RUdy's lines were hilarious.
Like last year when Lohri separated Shivika for a short while due to the bullet and Pinky, this time we have the Haryanvi giant looming over Shivika and their happiness. It was Anika who feared for Shivaay's life, sacrificing herself in the process while it may be Shivaay's turn. THe plot gets thicker. The dread in her heart, the blood that froze in her veins on recalling their first Lohri and the ominous words of KOmal ringing in her ears turned Anika to stone.
SHivaay promising dadi that he would hold the family together yet noting that Anika was not herself, rushing to find out what the matter was, reassuring her yet again, Unity in their being together, each other's strength, they are blessed by the elders and loved by the family, so surely nothing can tear them apart. THis scene was chopped I felt today, ended abruptly.
COming to dadi explaining the song and Lohri, to the 2 bahu and half, it was a revelation, of how families continue the traditions. Dadi feeling reassured that the reins are being handed over to bahus who will continue with the beloved traditions, knitting the family close together. Too bad that Om was missing.
I am sure some of you must have noticed that if Om is present, Gauri is missing and vice versa. Why can't we have some good scenes of Rikara with some meaningful convo?
Now, the teasing of Rudy by the trio was superb, Veer being given the once over. eh eh..ahem... Mr.Nice and Helpful guy who was slow in reacting when Rudy threw a revdi at him, slow reflexes or like a cobra, poised and waiting to strike when one least expects it.
That whole sequence was good and when Shivika began arguing with Gauri trying to appease both sides. Rudy siding with Anika, how cute was that.
DAdi calling her 2 bahus HOT aka patola was good. Everyone looked dishy and can't wait for the song seq where Shivika will drown in each other's love. Hope Om is back by then from visiting the Italian painter. Lol, just when I was mentally asking myself as to where Om was, pat came the reply on the screen. 😆 😆 😆
Bhavya seems to have lost her policegiri skills and RUdy finds Komal amidst the sticks at the outhouse. THe planning by Svet-Veer at the start was truly fanciful and many dire things were plotted for Shivika. 😡
Oh how did I miss Veer planning his outfit for Lohri, wanting to knock Anika off her feet, by his dressing. He is loony as he begun chasing Anika when his wife is barely cold in her grave. What a man... Anika has eyes only for Shivaay, no one else. He is going to find out the hard way.
