Today the episode was good as we did not have the mad scientific doc cum goon cum dada of Goa to muddy the floor and the moods of the Obros, who were trying to smile amidst the happenings.
Some great lines by Rudy as always who was trying to get hitched to Bhavya despite running away from Commitment all his life, who looked on girls as something to be toyed with. He is so eager to sit atop a horse that it might gallop without him or is HS planning something big for him where he finally grows up? Some angry words directed at Tej which only maddened him further to an extent where he extends his hand to his arch nemesis, foes join together to beat a king, snatch his empire (Shivaay). Tej has his sons talking to him albeit calling him Mr.Oberoi instead of papa, but they day is not far when they will shun him altogether. Like Kuni in Mahabharat, she spent her days in a dark chamber awaiting the return of Ram from exile to ask his forgiveness, will Tej be condemned to live a lonely life.
Jhanvi yearned to listen to Shivaay's voice, the woman who stoically stood by when her husband was insulting and throwing Shivaay out, felt the stirrings of motherhood... hmmm a tad bit difficult to swallow. She supported Tej and that is her biggest folly. She is weak, controlled by her husband who treats her like chattel.
Shivaay feeling guilt, ashamed of planning Rudy's wedding without the involvement of the family was well done. He aced this emotional scene as well as was his Rudy act. I just loved the masterful ACP Anika who made her husband speechless by her bold avatar. As for the deal between them for letting go.or remove the handcuffs.. it was cut too soon for us fans. š
The convo with dadi was endearing and nice to see dadi shore up the morale of the Obros, with her wit and sound advice to stop being 'Pankaj Udhas', pull up their socks, plan a wedding.
Anika exhibiting the wisdom of dadi and her mannerisms while addressing the younger Obros and Gauri/Bhavya. The way she said 'Chup kar' reminded me of dadi uttering the same.
The best part was no NDE of anyone or someone leering over the youngsters Such a refreshing change from the incessant ringing of the cycle bells to the mysterious lady in black who seemed to materialise out of thin air to the banknotes being dipped in poison. Enough to make one wonder if I am watching a scifi or a medical drama.
The femme fatale with the discus is such a hoot, the actor is trying her best to look menacing, giving us the KILLER LOOK but all it does is invoke my chuckles. Komal was way better at playing the helpless wife who was a puppet in the hands of Veer.
So what is with the sudden appearance and disappearance of the other 2 leading ladies Gauri and Bhavya? It was nice to see the bond between Anika and the Obros, as the matriarch of the next gen and all but something is lacking.
Saumya is another mystery, her sudden appearance and apparent exit from the show or not... HS keeping us on tenterhooks regarding her role as Rudy's lead.
The precap was sinister with Tej succumbing to the sweet talking viper to the engagement of Rudy at last, with blessings by Pinky. Phew.
Miss the good old discussions in the forum. My two cents.
