Anika is all defeated when she confides in him that she is NO GOOD. When he agrees she can't be the average ideal householder, she is aware of her shortcomings but she will reveal her disappointment at his honesty in having it CONFIRMED for her. Such a kid she is.

So he wants her rebel back and ask him why it's beyond her scope for such ideal standards. It's cute when he says..Pucho kyun nah hoga?? So he goes on to explain that when she is special, why is there a need to reverse to being ordinary.

He tries to add some positivity to a disheartened and demoralized Anika. It's the mark of a true companion to pull her spirits up when she is feeling low. And then Shivay sets out to let her know why and how special she is from all the societal accepted norms of being an ideal wife.

He has witnessed many times that she can be soft yet strong. He has seen how she stood up to Tia and her antics yet being gentle to her and her unborn baby. He is certain that she can be strong yet gentle. And its this ability that makes her special and above the rest of them.

Time and again, he has seen her fighting spirit, her ferocious ability to fight her own demons, her fiercely guarded independence when she pulled a googly of using his money that he threw at her for his own wedding preps. He is aware she doesn't need anyone's support and that she is self-made. What better way to make her realize and acknowledging that she doesn't need anyone's "sahara.

She was willing to take on the jibes of the common public even when they did not know of their feelings for each other. She did not shy away from facing the impending humiliation FOR him. Who else better to know that she is not scared to face a problem?

His reassurance is making her overwhelmed and so he lets her cry and drain out any traces of self-doubt she has about herself. So when he stops to give her a breather, she WANTS to hear from the one she loves WHY he finds her special. So she wants him to continue...Aap bolte rahiye..tareef kijjiye meri.

So he moves on to list more of her qualities that makes her special. He explains she has never run away from responsibilities, he has seen her as an active participant in all activities.

He has seen her defend him and reunite with his brothers even when she had every right to be mightily pissed at him, he has seen her attempts of twisted sense of responsibility by moving out of his life so he gets to be with family which means the world to him. I am not defending Anika's attempts at this. I still feel disappointed she did that to him. But in her own twisted understanding she did what she FELT was best for him. And who else better than Shivay to whole-heartedly acknowledge how she has sacrificed herself to keep his family intact.

And in spite of all this love for him, she is someone who doesn't blink an eye before throwing water ON HIS FACE if she is annoyed at him or wants to grab his attention.

Jaisi ho na Anikaaa...love that softness in his voice as he whispers her name. He finds her perfect the way she is and that there is no NEED to change

And throughout this I love how SC brings out so many emotions that Anika is feeling in these precious moments. She is a bundle of emotions as she deals with her shortcomings. She shares it with none other than him, confides she is no good. He is her best friend as she seeks him out as she goes through the depressive phase of "I am not the ideal wife to you.

She is sad and depressed to be failing to be the ideal wife, guilty that she is no good and Shivay has to manage work and home, embarrassed at the thought of it and agrees about her inabilities. Though she is disappointed that he is honest that she can't ever be the ideal wife, she is happy to hear his thoughts about her, surprised he finds reason to say she is special. She is confident about his love for her in spite of these flaws. She has new reasons to be surprised as to why he is SO good.

When he says Ab jo hoon, main hoon, she is smiling, tearing up, overwhelmed and proud to be his wife and to have him as hers. He explains in so many words how she is PERFECT the way she is, yet asks her why she can't be AS good as him. Such playfulness and what better way to cheer her up, brighten her mood by making her react to his question. And she DID. Her little grunt at that and he embraces her by reassuring that she is TOO good.

It's beautiful to see them CHERISH each other.

I am happy Shivay acknowledged that he did not react at Anika's insistence that someone's troubling her. But he believes that there ought to be something if she says so.

Rudy and his usage of idiom and phrases is fun. Purza instead of putla, ek nazar se dekho, nehle pe dehla and what not. Both of them teasing Shivay was for retaining the fun element among the bros intact I guess. If you think back on the old IB days where OmRu were the official Shivika shippers, it must be fun for them to tease Shivay now saying he is now the hubby who gets beaten up by his wife every day.

A proper first reaction at reunion would have felt better. Or maybe it's just me. But I guess the moment was lost out because Anika's punch to Shivay had to be played out there. Yet, I loved how after laughing out loud, whole heartedly, amidst his brothers, he slowly tears up when he looks at Om and Ru. That was fabulous transition of mood from fun to seriousness. NM gets to experiment a lot in these scenes. And he is fabulous.

I must appreciate Lee in the scene where after listening to Shivay for so long, all he can think about and harp on is...hum ye sab karenge, toh aap ghar wapas aa jaoge?? His focus is to get his brother back. Phir chahe uske liye kuch bhi kyun na karna pade.
