The Character Rudra

I will be very honest. Rudra isn't my favorite character of the show, all thanks to the writers of the show. He had so much potential to grow as a character. We were treated to some beautiful peaks into his history. Remember the scene when he was selling his items to garner the bet money for Bhavya, he remembered the time when Shivaye gifted him a watch. It was beautifully done.
But there are aspects to his charcter that greatly displease me. I was very disturbed by his constant body shaming of Saumya and his ageist insecurities for Bhavya. Being cute and innocent doesn't justify that, and I had hoped that there would be a scene of revelation and self discovery that he goes through. But we are still at a rut with him.
I really did love the RuMya jodi, but I managed to get over their track eventually. I really loved the fact that Bhavya's character was introduced opposite Rudra. She is the self aware woman of today, who is not only physically but mentally strong. The perfect woman to jolt Rudra out of his fake macho attitude or at least what he defines to be macho. She does not back down to his childish antics. She retaliates and lets him know how wrong he is.
I can understand how many can't connect to RuVya since they really liked RuMya. But honestly, Rudra's character hasn't been the best guy to either of the ladies. Before we decide which jodi happens, maybe lets first get a male lead who isn't so childish and regressive in his thought process.
We at least have seen a repentent Om and Shivaye, and their transformation into men we can root for. I really want to see a transformed Rudra. A man who is kaabil of any of these two strong ladies.
