A SLIGHT PROGRESS
Premise:
Gauri was kidnapped by the Obros and she is thankful for it. Anika is angry with Shivay for not telling her anything before they did the deed. Shivay has made caramel custard and there is no trust test.
"Shivaaay!" Anika's loud scream reached Shivay's ears and he got worried for his dearest wife. Anika had sprained her ankle.
"Have you gone mad? You fall by just standing these days. It is better if you just stay put." He chided her keeping the custard on the bedside table.
She threw him a look of contempt and turned her attention to her sprained ankle. He made a move to check her ankle.
"Don't!" She moved her leg away from him.
"Just let me see once."
"No. I am not talking to you. Just go away."
"You being angry with me and me checking your ankle has no connection whatsoever." Said Shivay sternly. He got a pain relieving spray and a crepe bandage. Taking her foot in his hand, he slowly started applying the spray.
"I would have told you in a matter of minutes but convincing you would have taken another two hours. We did not have time. Those people were not interested in Gauri's welfare. That guy wanted to assault Gauri and then deny her marriage. We had to kidnap her because she was hell angry with Om and did not want anything to do with him. I firmly believe that any argument or quarrel between husband and wife should not result in them leaving each other." He finished by safely pinning the crepe bandage.
When he looked up, Anika had tears in her eyes.
"Did I hurt you somewhere?" He asked wiping her tears, his own eyes brimming with concern.
She shook her head.
"You are so understanding. I know you were dead concerned with them but I still don't agree with how you did it."
He started to make the pillow wall between them as he did everyday. As soon as he reached in the middle, Anika started removing the pillows. He looked at her with a look in his eyes that Anika couldn't discern for the life of her.
"I am hurt. I want to sleep near you." Said Anika clutching a pillow close to her chest.
"In that case, Mrs. Oberoi, this pillow should not be this near to you. As you might know, I don't share my rights well." He smirked smugly and took Anika in his arms.
"I must say, being near me suits you well." He said while running his hands through her hair and they both drifted off to sleep. The custard laid forgotten.
The End.
