I used to watch clips of the show off and on but after previous experience with 4lions and Gul Khan I promised myself I wont watch this show! Then I cam across the episode where Shivaay got glued to a chair in Annika's house and his pant ripped, I laughed so much! I went back and watched all the episodes until then and the more I watched, the more I fell for Shivaay and Annika! I was hooked before I knew it and right now am experiencing all you mentioned in your post - heartache and heartburn!

I hope my alternate universe settles down soon as well Sangy!
