Let me first make it clear that this isn't a Shivaay vs. Annika post. I am still unable to connect with either Shivaay or Annika for this track and no, I don't think Shivika's story has run its course either. But I am aching to see some intense moments between them or at least a heartfelt conversation because I feel it has been too long since we have last seen an emotionally charged moment between Shivika. With this track, the CVs are actually failing to explore the post marriage dynamic of Shivika as well as tap into the potential of NM and SC and we all know what powerful, nuanced performers they both are. The CVs are skirting around the whole issue of having a third party forcibly separating Shivika and not delving deeper into the emotional state of Shivika.

Are the CVs incapable of exploring these things? I don't think so, because they give us glimpses of such intricacies from time to time, but most of time they can't be bothered about it because derision for the audience is something that is unfortunately ingrained in them.

I think it is safe to assume that half the audience are miffed with Annika's comedic approach to dealing with the situation as well as Shivaay's inability to understand Annika's point of view. But why did they take a comedic approach in the first place? After giving it some thought, I figured that it's primarily due to the PHs preference of having significant amount of slapstick comedy in their show. I believe they consider it a necessity to have at least some amount of comedy in almost every episode irrespective of the tracks and no matter what the situation, we see at least one of characters, if not more, taking a humorous approach towards dealing with these things. More often than not, we have seen Annika providing comic relief in the show. Instead of writing serious tracks for everyone at the same time, the CVs took the easier route as usual and opted for a lighter and shallow approach for this track because they had to fill their comedy quotient for the episodes.

Now they have introduced a complete comedy track despite having ongoing comedy because apparently the show was getting too serious for them. I don't know what to think of this. It might turn out be completely hilarious or something that will totally flop.

I don't know if others will agree with me and I might even get a few brickbats, but I have a strong feeling that the lack of understanding from Shivaay now is a result of us asking for the CVs to keep Shivaay's Tadi and ego intact. Were we wrong to ask the CVs to keep it intact? Not at all because falling in love doesn't mean someone will have a complete personality makeover and Shivaay's tadi and ego is an essential part of him. In fact, I was and still am very much in favour of keeping the Tadi intact, because Shivaay could still maintain his Tadi while being understanding and sensitive towards Annika, but it again comes down to the writer's failure to show multiple facets in a character. Moreover, they have a tendency to take our words and twist them around. Ask them for one thing, they'll take away something else.

Same goes for people asking for an NDE for Annika. I am neither in agreement or disagreement with this because at this point, I am too tired to even think about what I want to see in the show, but I doubt CVs will give us exactly what we are asking for. I know many people have great ideas and have even weaved tales about how the NDE should be brought about, but CVs will never write a scene that's exactly as how a fan has envisioned them and mind you, they do have a tendency to twist our words.

Anyway, the point of this post is not to ask any fan to stop making requests about what they want to see in the show. As viewers we have every right to give our inputs and feedback. This is simply my observation that I am sharing with you all. Feel free to agree or disagree.
