Of WOW waale Vows and Mehendi

What an adorable episode today...I had no expectations from this vow track or the mehendi epis but they turned out surprisingly sweet...the writing was on point today, some FABULOUS performances from NM-SC and even the editing didn't let us down that much...in IB land this counts as WOWWW only😆

The Vows started off in typical Billu-Billi fashion with the two of them first bickering about who will start first😆...until Om finally intervened with a solution that they can take turns and say one vow after the other😆...and so they begin in an almost offhand manner...with Shivaay first mentioning all the RAITAS she failaaoes, that he vows to sameto with her 😆...and so they continue in an organic manner...from a solemn vow to care for his family and never hurt them since it means so much to him to jheloing tel waali aloo puri, to being able to rattle off the name of Shivaay's fav. dish and vowing to make it for him...to referencing Billu ki besuri awaaz😆 to vowing to mess up his hair, to vowing to RECORD her kicking him😆 , to giving her HINTS to pick up all the new words he teaches her, to refusing to let her run out of the khidki when they fight to realizing they can never take a vow to NOT fight😆...and finally moving towards a more poignant bit...Anika getting emotional and thanking him for giving her such a wonderful family, for filling up the incompleteness in her life...SC was just SO wonderful in this bit👏...and then Shivaay getting emotional as well and responding with the such an adorable mix of sweet lines and random sidetracks to APPU GHAR😆😆...some adorably quirky writing from Harneet today...props👏😆

I loved how the lines were so in character for them...for Anika has looked all her life for family, it is what she has yearned for the most and Shivaay gave her that...there can be no greater thing for her...he completes that emptiness inside her...and for Shivaay, Anika brings endless adventure in his life with all her beautiful and wonderfully weird ways...no wonder he likened her to the rollercoaster rides in an amusement park😆😆

And then the actual Mehendi bits...something about the simplicity of them worked for me today...yes, Gauri was missed for Anika to have that feeling of a SIL or sister around but just the simple visual of the big smile on Anika's face as the mehendi is put on her hand, Sahil and Daadi by her side and Shivaay smiling at her from across the room...it just worked :)

The family dancing bits were sweet too...I'm quite thankful for no long winded eyelock stuff happening on the dance floor even though that weird tassel on Anika's outfit got stuck in Shivaay's kurta😆...but such happy smiles on their faces made it all sweet :)

LOL@ Daadi ka random new rule *rolls eyes*😆

LOVED the random music/song off convo that happened b/w Shivika when they were both missing each other😆...special mention for the classic AAA reference of "Yeh raat aur yeh doori"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Shivaay dancing around with the speaker as a tabla in his hand🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And I have no idea what random CGI-ed place they met up at finally with Anika showing up in a ghoonghat😆 but it was still a nice bit at the way Shivaay wanted to see her mehendi and she teased him about it before he finally got to see his name in her hands...the banter b/w RASAM and KASAM🤣🤣 and Anika randomly saying that she prefers him in Tadibaaz mode...haha deffo a trolling of the all the fangirls who ask for that all the time😆...Billu toh confused hi rahega ki kab cute bane kab tadibaaz😆

anyway coming to episode It was BEAUTIFUL (abhishek bachan's gif here) I am so satisfied as a shivika fan with the way this turned out esp keeping in mind how turned off we were from all of this when we got the BTS footage. I am glad ke uss cheesy board ko footage uss sense main nahi mila as we thought of PHEW small mercies

i was so amused by the obros +Tej ke reactions at this random entry none of them was even trying to be cordial and courteous they were all so pissed sone pe suhaga was tej asking him for his name again and doing his chopsy ke abhi bhi yaad nahi aaya mujhe😆😆😆 matlab beizzati karna toh koi tej se seekhe 😆😆😆 I was so at dadi making him a random devar of anika like uske apne devar marr gaye hain kya to give her shagun ki mehndi Satak hi gayin hai dadi bilkul. i liked the ghusse wale looks shivaay was giving and bechari anika tried to be courteous but even she was like W*F chada hi jaa raha hai free fund main . as i mentioned in the other post i really liked the lil asking for approval look she gave him and his nod.

Then came the vows 😆& sahil telling anika ke sso toh ready hai anika ka repl had me laughing so hard ke shivaay toh har cheez ke liye ready hi rehte hain🤣🤣 all the time so we got to the Vows which were WOW x tiffany what perfect summary of these 2, their journey they;ve talked about most of the things again as ode to classic billu and Billi in a way and us . the nuances really added up and made it a super special scene. i don't think i am in a position to say anything that expresses my happiness in regards to this scene. yeah i just can't. they made it so natural flowing more like a conversation then dialogues of any sort talked about Basically everything as you summed up in your para & the best part thy were happy they were khush they were excited there was absolutely nothing holding them back in anyway.

the tiny touches NM and SC added just took it to another level like:& some highlights

and then how from that fun it transitioned to this very very emotional moment where she starts getting overwhelmed and thanks him for the lack of family in her life to him telling her ke she is like appu ghar😳 that was the moment of the day ok just HOW AMAZINGLY Well it was executed BRILLIANT👏👏👏👏 & after knowing what it was i mean appu ghar toh it just became even more special EXCELLENT EXCELLENT stuff her main appu ghar hoon his nahi nahi tum bohat acha .. bol nahi sakta ...😆 & her getting more emotional hearing all the wonderful things he had to say about her. this is the first time na he did her tareef like this on her face?? kitna touched ho gayi yeh.yes she has an idea what she means to him yet listening all this that none ever said to her must've been really beautiful na😳

then the sight of him niharooing her while she is getting mehndi done with such big smile was so so sweet and i couldn't help but go awwwxtiffany and how dadi was showering love at anika in this part and on sahil too 😆 very touching it was dadi was really cherishing this heera of a bahu too in it and it was more like i wanted this since forever dadi aur anika ke start wale bond ki yaad aa gayi how she was dai'd pet too in many ways since start😆. the dancing was adorable esp seeing him so happy and so dilse naaching. the tassle moment was nicely executed and despite being cliched wasn't cliched caz of the way they've shot it with hardly any close ups and slo mo and hwo they let it flow naturally making it beautiful

the the stupid board gira and i hated the way changu mangu came in between and separated them blah whatever

😆 at another stupid rule by dadi and billu sulking😆😆 at his fears in room ke anika ko dekhe ga nahi toh soyega kaise soyega nahi toh bhuddha ho jayega😆😆😆😆😆😆 Matlab kya cheez hai banda😆😆 but the music player idea was innovative very creative of makers to use it even if we've seen it in DLKH soap world main naya hai and it just worked so well i just wish it went thoda lamba and anika got a couple of more songs. but the winner hands down was Yeh raat aur yeh doori. Btw he not only played tabla on speakers but also did air guitaring with the same speaker in inteha ho gayi🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 but gosh the table was too much and i wished ke he was in his PJ's with that pom pom wali topi and they addedthat topi khadi hoying effect like aamir🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 can you imagine

rest of the episode again enjoyed omru trolling him & esp rudy ka displeasure again & changu mangu coming. Obros scene was quite fun too

The Vows were definitely Wow and SC/NM were clearly in their element - am guessing since the vows were so Shivika that they had tuned themselves to be over the past year.. SSO is even prepared for Changu-Mangu named pillows and blankets 😆 for which Annika magnanimously decided she'd allow SSO to continue breaking his phones! 😆

Was sweet to see the whole family so happy and cheering the pair on! And finally, finally Annika getting lovely mehendi with Shivaay written in! A happy Saahil in Annika didi's wedding was ❤️! OmRu teasing Shivaay's wrong number calls was cute too (even when shot separately from NM) 😆

HS has certainly over exceeded my expectations with reference to the VOWS...they were really WOW...

Lol at their banter over who should start first...and Anika's special - "Gents first" 😆

I loved how they started with an serious vow about working together to sametofy raita, protecting honour of the family to all those cute comical vows and finally concluding it with an intense heartfelt mutual admiration and commitment to be together forever...😊

Awww at Billu ka punjabi dance...happily dancing with badi maa, papa, bade papa, dadi, saahil and finally pulling in Anika for a dance...very natural and free flowing moment...

Apart from the Vow/Wow moments and their night meeting, I really loved Billu-Billi's "isharas" during mehndi...happy Annika and smiling Shivaay are a treat to watch. O'Bros' scene was shot separately and it was very evident - but still not a bad scene.

I also liked Rudy's dialog about Shivaay's "last night" as a bachelor...I could see some trolling there by the writers.

I never thought I would say this but regardless of "n" number of filler tracks and dragged episodes, I have to admit - HS seems to be a talented writer considering she has given some really nice Shivika moments through out this journey of IB so far and also the sportsman spirit she shows when she trolls her own creation, be it mentioning about continuity, being in/out of characters or trolling Shivaay's multiple shaadis and a lot of other things too that I can't seem to remember at the moment.

Let's hope the trend of good episodes this week so far continues in future too.

Yeh Mahi ki pahaadi hai? 😲🤣...yeah I'd have preferred the random gazebo too but they seem to prefer these CGI-ed locations for "fairy tale" effect😆

Word on NM-SC being in their element in the vows scene as if charting the journey of what all they've lived in the past year as Shivika and best of all the way they had FUN with it...made the scene really entertaining to watch too😆

Re: OmRu scene...LOL yeah that was hilarious too even though they shot it seperately but some hilariousss trolling happening from OmRu about the endless number of Shivaay shaadis and "last bachelor nights"😆...that too when he is still technically married to and never divorced Anika😆
