As for Om, this character has been through a difficult journey in IB. We're always shown the angry, male leads on TV, but never their journey or why they became like that. With Om, everybody has seen what he was and how he changed, and what he is now. Such character growth is rarely seen in 4 Lions serials.

While I love DBO Gauri, I think post-merger, Gauri's character is being slowly butchered to fit in the rest of the family, esp. in the last two episodes. The Gauri I fell in love with in DBO, and the Gauri in IB are two different people. Thats because she is no more the lead in IB. So, her own awesomeness is being eroded to fit the narrative. Her cunning and calculative nature, combined with unfailing optimism, has altogether disappeared.

I feel its not Om, but Gauri who is being changed to fit the narrative. The only time I felt the old Gauri made an appearance was when she left Oberoi Mansion, and was calmly eating chanas in Pune, not crying buckets like other heroines do after separation.

Anyways, I digress. I think people should at least watch some scenes of DBO to get a measure of Om and Gauri, before they give their feedback. Without watching DBO, people are just going to make uninformed guesses which are unfair to the characters.

When I started watching IB last year, I thought that there was nothing new in Anika and she was just the Mumbai version of Khushi Kumari Gupta. But I gave her a chance and she has proved me wrong. Anika is different and lovable, and one of my favorite characters. I feel the same chance should be given to Gauri (and I'll include Bhavya here too) as well.

Gauri is a difficult character to understand. On surface there might be nothing new, but actually I feel after Zoya Farooqui, Gauri is the most compelling FL created by 4 lions. I really would request IB folks to give her a chance before making sweeping judgments. Same goes for Om. His character is not being twisted, its actually making a complex journey.

However, all this is moot point since post-merger, Rikara are not been given the screen space or importance they deserve. So, audiences might never get to see the real Gauri, or the emotional struggles of Om.

P.S. This fan war and passive-aggressive comments need to stop. Apna apna dekho aur khush raho, thats my motto. Why get so angry over this show? After all IB is no GOT!😆

rikara story was written without deep analysis.but kudos to actors who made rikara popular despite dose of illogical tracks in dBo and lack of as and consistency in ib👏

Big plus point of rikara is shrenal who made pathetically written tracks appear good 👍🏼

Well I could never get myself to like IshKara. It's probably because their story didn't started well off and Ishana was only highlighted as a Greedy girl who was taking advantage of Om's trust.

RiKara is the one which I liked because I get to see their story from DBO.

In DBO, Om character was different due to his own reasons (because of TeJanLana endless issues). But since DBO has merged with IB, Om has changed back to old Om which we loved during the initial phase of IB. 👍🏼
