EPISODE ONE
He gripped the papers in the file almost tearing them ... The papers which were another proof that even when Kali Thakur is a scoundrel, His-Now Wife 'GAURI KUMARI SHARMA' is innocent like she stubbornly said from the very first time they met.
When he again thought of how he had judgementally characterised her to be a vile woman and was furious with how she stepped in his life and home claimimg to be his wife ... He felt like a pathetic moron now. He felt as if all his preached honesty and wisdom had straightaway come into his face as one good tight slap with his cheek burning red and the room going silent. A few minutes passed by and he could feel that how everyone just stood there in silence looking at him as if he did something wrong... Mocking him about being an honest man. They started to whisper in each others ears... Oh damn... He was able to hear so many voices in his head even when there was pin drop silence in an absolutely empty room... , He was center of attention now.
Breaking a trail of many absurd thoughts he immediately booked a train ticket for Gauri so that she could go back to her mother ... He was fidgeting with his phone when Jahnvi walked to him.
"Om tum Gauri ke saath aisa nahi kar sakte ... She is your wife aur tumne usse shaadi ki hai ... Yeh tum dono ki zindagi ka sawaal hai ... Koi mazaak nahi." Jahnvi tried her level best to convince her son ...
She did not want Gauri to separate from Omkara. Even when her son got married in the most dramatic of circumstances ... He got a wife who was a strong and loyal woman. A woman who had followed him till he came back home and introduced herself as his rightful wife.
"Mom main ek aisi ladki ko apne saath rehne ke liye force nahi kar sakta jisse Maine bina kuch soche samjhe 'Ghatiya, Ghinauni aur Giri Hui' keh diya ho." Omkara said with a defeated sigh.
It was when Gauri had come to stay with him Omkara had decided that he will expose all her true colors in front of his family and he was very sure that Shivaay will make sure that a gold digger like Gauri is imprisoned. Now that he had hired a private investigator and come to know the truth about Gauri's life, he himself felt like a criminal.
"Omkara ... Yeh faisla tum dono ki zindagi se juda hai, Gauri can have her own choice." Jahnvi said to him calmly.
White knuckles from clenching his fist too hard, and gritted teeth from effort to remain silent, his hunched form exuded an animosity that was like acid - burning, slicing, potent. His face was red with suppressed rage, and when Jahnvi kept a hand on his shoulder, he swung around and mentally snapped.
"Mom aap please mujhe ... Shaadi sambhaalne yaa zindagi sawaarne ke baare me kuch naa hi kahe toh better hoga... Mujhe pata hai main kya kar raha hoon." Omkara said defending his decision of sending Gauri back to Bareilly forever.
"Omkara ... Tej aur mere beech mein Jo kuch bhi hua ... Woh humaari problems hai ... Tumhe humaara example lekar sochna chhodna hoga ... Tumhaari apni zindagi hai ... Apni khushi ke baare me socho ..." Jahnvi was determined to guide her son ... Even when he is a man of rigidity she wanted to try her level best.
"Mom main samajh chuka hoon ke Gauri mere paas kyon aayi ... Woh iss rishte ki bohot izzat karti hai ... Sachme mujhe jaan ne ki aur mujhse pyaar karneki koshish kar rahi hai lekin main usse doosri Jahnvi Singh Oberoi banne nahi de sakta ... Usse humara rishta bachaane ke liye itni koshishe karne ki zarurat nahi hai ..."
"Om ... Gauri apni marzi aur khushi se iss parivaar ka hissa bani ... Woh tumhaari zindagi ka hissa hai ... Tumne uska each jaanne se pehle bhi usse kitni baar yaha se nikalne ki koshish ki ... Par woh nahi gayi ... Aur ab bhi nahi jaaegi."
Before Jahnvi could speak anything else he walked out of the room and she knew that Omkara had become a weak person ... He had accepted defeat ... And he wanted to escape.
"Beta tumhaari akkal ko toh ab tumhaari dabang biwi hi thikaane lagaaegi ..." Jahnvi spoke relief having hearty confidence on her daughter in law.
He pushed open the door of his bedroom fully prepared to shout at Gauri but then kept quite seeing a heavily and moodily pregnant Anika enjoying a bowl of gulab jamun and ranting about her billuji making Gauri giggle. With the sudden harsh noise of the door Anika turned her head to the side to find Omkara.
She noticed how the calmness had evaporated from his eyes. His customary warmth gone faster than summer rain on the concrete. Indeed even his focus was somewhere behind her ... He was looking at Gauri, as if she had become invisible to him or he could not bare to see her at all. She had crossed some invisible line, offended his sensibilities by trying to talk to him or by trying to ask Gauri about what exactly is wrong. Anika had seen him do this to others before, but she had thought their bond was immune, that he will share his problems with her like she always does ... Again many thoughts ran in her mind about husband and wife having some tiff but she knew something was genuinely serious . Now her blood drained and heart hammered erratically. She was never afraid of his anger when it came as fire, for that burnt hot and fast. She was deathly afraid of his ice. It coated him like protective permafrost... His personality was very different from Shivaay, she knew it had saved him from the torments of his youth, but now the same method could isolate him from his new family, his wife. It was pointless to try to reach him now, her well meant words would bounce off as good as hard rain. But she would have to see him tomorrow, thaw his anger, return that loving spark to his eyes. Not knowing anything about how Gauri and Om got married ... Anika did not have the slightest idea about what is happening now ... She was growing anxious.
Anika walked out of the room while Gauri's eyes were tussling with that of her husband. His red-rimmed eyes were the colour of burnt umber. He was angry, He was sad, He had cried ... She was sure
"GAURI apna Sara saamaan pack Karo ... Aaj shaam kind train pakadkar tum maa ke pass bareilly waapas jaa rahi ho." O'Mara said in finalty.
"Arre aise kaise ... Humme agle hafte Rudra ke saath pune jaanaa hai aur uske bad waale hafte mein anika bhabhi ki delivery hai ... Hum kahi nahi jaa rahe." Gauri said chirpily as she began to iron and fold clothes trying to ignore Omkara's murderous glares.
"Tumhe mere parivaar ke baare mein zyada chinta karneki zarurat nahi hai Gauri ... Bohot saare log hai yahaan har cheez ka dhyaan rakhne ke liye ... Tum bass chali jaao." Omkara said walking towards her.
"Humaari zindagi hai ... Humaari marzi ... Humme apni maa ke paas rehna hai yaa apne pati ke pass ..." Gauri blabbered in an evidently hurt voice.
"Tum mere saath zabardasti karne pe kyon tulli Hui ho Gauri ... Main nahi maanna chahta ke tum meri kuch lagti ho ... Tameez se keh raha hoon ... Chali jaao..." Omkara's voice turned colder.
" Tumhaari Zindagi Barbaad Karneka Koi Haq Nahi Hain Mujhe ... Main Jaantaa Hoon Mujhse Gunaah Hua Hain ... Tumhe Mere Paas Rehne Ki Zarurat Nahi Hain Gauri ..." Omkara scolded her trying to push her away from his life
"Aapne Apne Aap Ko Samajhke Kya Rakha Hain ... Jab Mann Kiya Shaadi Ki, Phir humme apnane ki koshish bhi nahi Karna chahte ... Jab Mann Kiya Get Out Bolte Rahe ... humme galat samajhte rahe Aur Aaj Phir Humse Keh Rahe Hain ... Ke Hum Aapse Durr Ho Jaaye. Ek Baat Samajh Lijiye Omkaraji, Hum Biwi Hain Aapki Koi Khilona Nahi." Gauri was angry and hurt.
"Mujhe Yeh Bilkul Gawara Nahi Hoga Ke Meri Wajah Se Tumhaari Zindagi Kharaab Ho ... Apne Aap KO Takleef Dena Band Karo Gauri ... Chahti Kya Ho Tum?" Omkara was losing his wit and temper.
"Humme Aapke Bachhe Ki Maa Banna Hain ... Demanded a determined Gauri "
Her eyes were a knife in his ribs, the sharp point digging deeper. Where there should have been love ... There was an emptiness, but not in any vulnerable sense.Uncomfortable with the void, he had filled it with an emotion he was more at ease with - raw anger. Her unmoving gaze was accompanied by deliberate slow breathing, like she was fighting something back and loosing. And again she was ready to try and make an effort to save something as sacred as a marriage giving away whatever it takes.
His eyes flashed with indignance and anger, much like lightning on a pitch black night. He couldn't recognize her anymore... Gauri had become a more determined woman and it was all because of him... He is the same man who had accused her of being a land lords mistress and she is looking straight into his eye and boldly demanding a child from him.
