A breathtakingly beautiful VM ... fueled with pathos... it had me in tears.
Your VM through my eyes...
The prologue tune to the song, sets mood of the song... that is a love ballad twirling at the edge of impending tragedy. They are so in sync with the darkness that surrounds Omkara and his equally dark past.
That hopeful query of "Miss karoge mujhe" sets the wheel of memories and the story in motion... with an inkling of 'what' is bound to happen... its the 'how' is what we are left to find out.
His playful "Nahi" of the past is a stark contrast to the present, wherein the drugs- his last resort to oblivion, aren't able to help him.
Tu aata hai seene mein
With him whiplashing her to him in one swift move, he reaches her heart.
Jab jab saansein bharti hoon
His fingers lingering on her breath, the same that she inhales.
Tere dil ki galiyon se
As her colourful veil flutters right over his heart and its varied ways, she touches him in the most gentle yet endearingly as if caressing him, having him look back as his heart warms up to the warm caress.
This was one scene that had me sigh really deep. It went so so so well with the visuals and the lyrics in harmony.
Main har roz guzarti hoon
Her exuberant joy at having passed by him is so evident in her smile and the spring that she has in her gait.
Hawaa ke jaise chalta hai tu
Main ret jaisi udti hoon
The play of metaphors- the wind and the sand; Chasing her one moment and having her right within his embrace in the next, he very much like the wind has her like the sand.. always to his bidding.
Kaun tujhe yoon pyaar karega
And that priceless question...Rightfully questioning him with that subtle nod and the engaging eye-lock, who can love him so?
Jaise main karti hoon
Pulled back to the brooding present Om knows that none can love him the way she does
The Humming with the visuals of their marriage flows like a gentle stream, letting us know the course their story takes.
The instrumental beats and notes in sync with their feelings- his want, her hesitation. As it reaches the crescendo he has her in his arms... leaving her spellbound ...letting her know where she belongs.
Meri nazar ka safar
Tujhpe hi aake ruke
A moment of realisation that wherever she may be, her eyes would always seek for him and rest only after they find him.
Kehne ko baaqi hai kya
He leaves her speechless again while taking her in the embrace
Kehna tha jo keh chuke
While she kept wording her love he showed her through his actions... by making her his
Meri nigahein hain teri nigahon ki
Mujhe khabar kya be-khabar
Their eyes engage in the conversation known best to them, while the two souls are lost as one.
Main tujhse hi chhup chhup kar
Behind the veil, trying her best to hide her doings... the ones that she has come to love these days...
Teri aankhen padhti hoon
...That of reading his eyes that speak volume, as he tries to unveil her ,having an inkling that she is upto something secretively
Kaun tujhe yoon pyaar karega
Jaise main karti hoon
Playfully raising his chin and running her palm on his cheek and letting her self be held in his hold, she is in sync with the query that she puts forth.
The humming is heart-wrenching as his tears run down at the once bright memories of hers.
The visual antithesis that plays on with the alternating emotions... like a yo-yo...past to present to past... has the heart churning with every sigh he takes and the lost cry that he resorts to.
The beat where the tune goes melow... almost to silence... has her gazing at him in the early morn... much like the silent morns that leave so much to ponder about.
Tu jo mujhe aa mila
Sapne hue sirphire
With him by her side, she finds her dreams being crazy, showered with mirth, with the fragrances lingering
Haathon mein aate nahi
Udte hain lamhe mere
So much is his dire effect that her moments aren't hers to hold on... much like her they fly away in the blissful breeze of love... his love.
Meri hansi tujhse
Meri khushi tujhse
Tujhe khabar kya beqadar
While her smile , happiness... her everything lies with him, he stands back staring at her, clueless that he is her mirth, that he is her sole reason to live... to love
Jis din tujhko na dekhun
Pagal pagal phirti hoon
With him as everything, his dearth has her run helter-skelter, so blinded with fear that she passes by her own life, until he holds on to her
Kaun tujhe...
This time she tries walking away mid query...
yoon pyaar karega
Only to have him stop her...
Jaise main karti hoon...
And the eyes do the talking... hers still in query
The humming here is the last soulful rendering to the tragedy, his present and past in a duel... makes his loss of her more heart-wrenching. With the sounds of the shards leaving behind the a hollow silence.
Main tujhse hi chhup chhup kar
Teri aankhen padhti hoon
Kaun tujhe yun pyaar karega
Jaise main karti hoon
Her glimpses never leave him...with him having resorted to hallucinating her. Left with only her memories and his helplessness at not having her around.
I take it as she comes back for him, keeping her promise to love him like no one else ever did. I know I sound like a .. a hopeless Hoper here... Just couldn't see them apart. Not after seeing what he has made of himself without her around. That baby there needs her and all the love that she claims of.
So in my mind I carry this forward that this time around he was more verbal in letting her know the way he loves her.
Tammy ... This song sways between melancholy to mirthful love and to visualise it the way you did takes a lot of effort. Swaying the visuals from the past to present and past again to be in sync with the beats and lyrics... that niche there, now that is skill.
Keep up the gorgeous work sweets. Love you to the moon and back..
Your vms are visual poetry... Keep VMing and Keep smiling
Loads of love (Kaun tujhe yun pyaar karega) and hugs (jaise main karti hoon) đ¤
Till we meet again
