I like the your post. Personally, I tend to stay away from Indian serials because it is continuous similarities of the plots and characters in numerous shows. This show has been different at the beginning because of the chemistry and characters involved were more evolved than other shows. But now it is plain weird. I think the creatives made a mistake in the separation track and what followed afterwards. Instead of letting ML and FL work it out themselves, they brought in numerous characters that were wasted on screen...

@Incandescent:
Yes this PH are arrogant and Pride always comes before a Fall! I don't know why GK has not realised this after falling flat on her face several times in the past. But I guess whatever success she has had always gets to her head more. She is honestly one of the most childish and arrogant producers I have come across and I dislike her a lot. The reason being she has always blamed fans when the fault was their own. The FANS can make or break a show. I think she is seeing an example of that play out right now. Her arrogance in thinking she can bring out a half baked product banking on one actor's stardom and also the "Nostalgia" associated with a title, character name, and BG tune was utterly cynical and she's paying for it now.

In my opinion, this show has WAY better acting and potential than her newly launched show. It also has an existing loyal audience, awards in their name and great actors who always do justice to their role, in fact live their roles. They even manage to pull off the most atrocious clothing and make it look tolerable. The chemistry between the actors the OBros especially was a highlight for me from day 1. I love sibling bonds. When done well sibling stories are always a winner. People love family drama, and put in the sibling bonds, the romantic angles and you have a winner. Everyone loves family drama and romance. This show has both. All it needs is to bring the "Narrative" back to focus. Stop making Shivaay and Annika do the same thing over and over. Stop Om and Gauri always coming to the same Stop-Start mode, and show us what the actual crux of Rudra and Bhavya's story is. (I love that she has a real job, a driver's license and is older than Rudy). Got 3 things right there! LOL

To watch these 6 together I will continue to watch this show. To see OBros and also OBahu's and their cuteness. But they need to focus on the illegitimacy track, Pinky's truth and also the Sister track. That will surely do the trick. Harneet needs to start smoking something different, or better still fire her and get someone else! But IB still has a future and it can be saved. They just need a PLAN, and focus on the important issues at hand. The family drama with SSO's birth truth and Gauri and Annika possibly being sisters and how their past is linked to the Oberois. Let Bhavya use her Police contacts to investigate this further. Just like she found out about Ragini, let her get involved in this too. This way everyone can work to a common goal. Not this Jealous SSO rocks type inane stuff, but something with substance.

Substance is what is lacking in this story and people can see it. You can see it's too random and viewers who are not as "Serious" about their entertainment as we are, will not tolerate it for long! Hard truth. I would have expected Gul to know this by now. Fire Harneet! That is the best thing they can do right now! She's too full of it. Fact!
