Inspired by 7.26 episode
Shivaay watched Pari and Anika sleep from afar. Omkara had left a few minutes ago. He had pointed out quite a few things to him but there was more in his eyes. His brother was hinting at something else. That something else struck him deep within each moment passing before him and the events taking place since Anika had entered the house again.
Omkara returned and handed something in his hands.
"Yeh kya hai?, he asked his brother puzzled.
Omkara looked at his foolish older brother.
" You really are the world's biggest fool Shivaay. No offense but this hundred percent true, he replied.
Shivaay shook his head and opened the papers.
" You still have forty-eight hours before the divorce is finalized. This is a stay order, if you want to stop Anika from leaving, Omkara stated.
"Kya?
" Haan Bade Bhaiya. Aap ne bauth galat socha tha Anika Bhauji ki baare mein. She just came back to save you from yourself. Woh aap se bauth pyaar karti hain, Gauri declared.
" So why did she leave me. Why did she hurt me ? She knows I love my brothers most in this world, Shivaay declared.
"Kyunki unse yeh karaya tha, Bhavya stated.
Shivaay turned to glare at her in shock.
Rudra clenched his teeth in frustration. They weren't supposed to tell Shivaay anything.
" Bhavya..
" Rudra you and Om bhaiya may have made some promises, but maine nahin. So relax, she assured him.
Rudra tried not to get too emotional as Shivaay gave him a stern glance.
" Bhaiya sorry lekin Anika Bhabhi ne huhme aapni kasme di thi, he admitted.
Shivaay turned to Omkara who merely nodded.
Everyone dispersed quickly fearing Shivaay's rage. They would remain nearby in case they were needed.
Shivaay's emotions were out of control.
He recalled how he kicked her out of the house then blocked her being able to get a job. The hints she had given him leading up to that fateful day, came crashing down on him.
He gazed over at Pari and Anika lovingly.
Anika had risked her life yet again for him and his brothers. Even though he had humiliated her and broken ties with her in the public eye.
Earlier he had caressed Pari's head lovingly, now he found himself only admiring Anika. He longed to reach out and touch her like he used to before the divorce fiasco.
He looked at the papers in his hands.
He resolved two things in that moment. He would cancel the divorce proceedings and marry her again. They would all be a family again.
Shivaay had returned from the lawyer's office to cancel the proceedings when Anika had come down with Pari all excited.
They six of them played with Pari and discussed what she had been trying to say.
Sadness overtook them once Pari's real family arrived to take her away. The brothers and their respective spouses cried together. Dadi was upset too, but she hoped this experience would bind the three couples together more strongly.
Shivaay found Anika trying to dry her tears, flanked with Bhavya and Gauri. They realized Shivaay needed to be with her alone.
Anika was about to leave the room but Shivaay grabbed her wrist in a strong grip.
" Tum thek kehri thi. Mujhe bache chaiye hai, he declared.
"Toh divorce final hone wale hai. Then you are free to marry Nagini or whoever you want to make the mother of your children, Anika hissed.
Shivaay grew angry.
He pulled her close so that their chests almost touching. He caressed her waist.
" Shivaay why are you holding me like this? You are supposed to hate me. Hum alag hone wale hain na ?, she asked.
He moved a strand behind her ear.
" Kya tum mujhe se phir se shaadi karogi. Kya tum mujhe ek pari do gi?, he said huskily.
Anika stepped back and stared at him.
"Yeh aap kya kay re hain?, she muttered before fainting.
He caught her in his arms and yelled for some help.
He kept caressing her hair and face in worry. Someone handed him a glass of water and he pressed the glass to her lips.
" She must be in shock, Omkara suggested.
" Bhabhi must have been overwhelmed in happiness, Rudra exclaimed.
"She could have been exerted from yesterday too. Pari also left, she must be confused on how to react to Bhaiya's words, Bhavya stated.
" Bhauji theek hojayengi Bade Bhaiya, Gauri assured him.
Shivaay nodded.
He left the bedside and came back with a few things. He noticed a chain that was hidden in Anika's blouse had gotten tangled around her neck. He turned it around gently and was stunned to see it was her manglasutra.
" Yeh toh.., he trailed off.
Everyone exchanged smiles.
" Anika never forgot her duty towards Shivaay. I guess you got your answer, Omkara declared.
Anika regained consciousness sometime later. She was greeted by the other two younger couples.
" Bhauji there is a surprise for you, Gauri declared.
" Aur kitne surprises? I might faint again, Anika decalred.
" Relax Anika Bhabhi, Omkara said.
They stepped back, then Rudra and Bhavya stood there with trays of things.
" Shaado Mubarak ho, Rudra and Bhavya declared together.
They stepped aside to reveal Shivaay.
He bent on one knee and showed Anika a ring. A ring he had wanted to present her with three months ago.
" Anika will you marry me again? I promise this time, sub tumare style main hoga. Whatever dreams got left behind last time, this time they will be fulfilled, he promised.
Anika's eyes filled with tears.
" Anika please don't..
" Cry!, the others completed for him.
Anika said yes.
Everyone cheered as Shivaay placed the ring on her finger.
Two days later..
Since the proceedings were stopped on time, their older marriage certificate was still valid. However a wedding was promised and so it did happen today.
Pinky Singh Oberoi stood stunned as Anika and Shivaay happily entered the house together this time as a happily married couple. All the rituals were completed with full cooperation from Shivaay this time.
Jhanvi and Dadi held the helm of all the rituals.
Shakti had walked in behind his son and daughter-in-law.
" Shaktiji, how could you allow them to get married!, Pinky demanded.
" I didn't allow for anything to happen Pinky. New flash, the divorce was never finalized. Shivaay wanted this for Anika's happiness. I am with my son Pinky. You can't stand him to be happy, but I will make sure he stays happy. Anika is his happiness, her husband declared.
Pinky sank to her knees. All her efforts had gone in vain.
Anika gazed around at their room. Even when she had reentered the mansion some days ago, it had not felt like home. But today it did, as she had been brought back with all the rituals and most importantly by Shivaay himself.
She gasped as she felt strong but familiar hands encircle her waist.
" Shivaay?
She felt his beard skim her neck and cheek. She would be sure to have scratches on her skin, but she didn't care. This was his affection for her.
He pressed a chaste kiss on her nape. His fingers worked their magic through her hair releasing the pins and then to her jewelry.
A night of passion followed.
Two months later..
Anika felt sick to her stomach and then the next moment she was ready to eat whatever she could get her hands on.
" Anika we need to see a doctor. You are not keeping your food down and when you eat, you seem to be eating for two people, Shivaay declared.
Anika paused as she reached for the karda, Gauri brought her.
" I guess this karda won't help me Shivaay, she declared.
" Why won't it help Anika. Gauri made it especially for you. Maybe you can keep this down, he suggested.
Anika smiled to herself.
" Shivaay aap bhi na. You just said I am eating for two people right? In this situation this is normal, she stated.
"Lekin Anika, you are getting pale then how will you eat for two, unless.., he trailed off.
" This means we conceived, we are gonna have a baby? Oh my gosh, Anika!
He gathered her gently in his arms and kissed her forehead.
Anika gave birth to a baby girl, Shivani seven months later. She brought the house the same joy if not more than Pari had. For she was theirs forever.
