I'm confused weren't Rikara on the same page taking their time to get to know each other and figure out their relationship? I have been watching DBO and Gauri wasn't in love with him and was fulfilling her duties so I'm having a tough time understanding her emotional outbursts. Did I miss something?
Just to be clear this is not a comparison, bashing, or Om vs Gauri post. I'm just confused by the sudden shift in the story.
I'm not denying the validity of her questions, but shouldn't she be asking herself these questions as well? Om isn't forcing her to stay against her will and she is also a willingly participant in continuing their ambiguous relationship. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems unfair to question him over her own decisions. Gauri never hated him, but she never loved him either. He was her husband so she did what she could do to protect him and his family. From my perspective, it seems like she is experiencing buyer's remorse. She decided to stay without a commitment or acknowledgement from him and she is regretting it now. Om has been very clear on where he stands in terms with the marriage and why he wants her to stay. I can understand Pinky's vile taunts hurting her feelings because that awful witch knows exactly which buttons to push, but she never reacted like this before. She was handling everything on her own for months so it's weird a prescription would have her so defeated.
I'm grateful the writers are exploring her insecurities because it's rare for the female leads to get any sort development, but it seems out of place now and rehash of previous conflicts we have seen before. I'm not saying these conflicts are exclusive to one character because anyone can feel insecure, but rather than tailoring it to Gauri the writers took the easy route and repeated everything. Even Gauri and Pinky are repeating the same dialogues we saw in the past. Your nothing...Om will never accept you as his wife... you'll be thrown out...why am I here? What is the relationship? Her insecurities could have been addressed more organically over time as they developed Rikara's story and relationship instead of the jet speed the writers are going. Where is the rush? Why do the writers always do this the female characters?
Right now, is the time for the writers to build their story and explore their characters not drop random conflicts out of nowhere. It would be the perfect opportunity to delve more into their friendship from the Chulbul days where they got to know each other. Om and Chulbul were friends not Gauri and Om. Then her insecurities about her lack of education or her fears about not being accepted would have a foundation. I'm not sure where this Pinky drama is heading, but I hope it's not an acceptance or a confession. If Om accepts her so soon where is the journey? It won't be out of love it will be an obligation, which would ruin their love story for me.
The only upside to this is Shrenu is doing a fantastic job with the emotional scenes. I love seeing the emotional side of Gauri because I always felt the writers don't do her character justice in terms of character growth during DBO, but it makes no sense in context with their story and where Rikara is right now.
Pinky continues to be evil. Why the are writers continuing with her nonsense I'll never understand? No one wants to see Pinky's bullying sessions anymore. If nazar was a person it would be Pinky 😆
Do you guys think Pinky will inadvertently bring them closer or is it a fakeout just for drama?
