It was later that very day, that had been spent lazing around the house, cuddling at random and kissing just because... all in all, a very satisfactory Saturday morning. Omkara was intently working on his laptop, his legs stretched out in front of him, the laptop on a cushion on his lap while his back rested against the headboard of their bed. Gauri puttered around the room, simply wanting to be in his company
"Gauri... don't you think we should go on our honeymoon at some point of time?"
Gauri, who'd been stacking some fresh laundry in the closet, froze mid-movement.
"Kya hua? Did I say something wrong? Kya tum honeymoon pe nahin jaana chaahti?" came a cautious query from her husband who came to stand in front of her.
He slowly slipped the stack of folded clothes from her hands, put them away into the closet and gently pulled her to the couch. The small frown on his forehead and the worry in his eyes that he'd somehow hurt or offended her, cleared when she sat on his lap instead of sitting next to him. Gauri snuggled into her husband's chest, her arms wrapped around his midsection and her head pillowed on his shoulder, sighing when she felt his hand wrap around her waist and another stroke her hair softly.
Omkara knew that she would explain her thoughts and any inhibitions she might have when she was ready and he was willing to wait till she was. After having played with his fingers for a few moments, Gauri looked up at him and Omkara was finally able to see the emotions swirling around in her lovely dark eyes. He was elated at the happiness, could understand the nervousness but the healthy dose of apprehension and worry he saw in her eyes made him a bit cautious.
"Wo... Omkaraji... hum..."
"Yes Gauri... tumhein jo bhi kehna hai, don't worry about it, bas bol do... humare beech mein abhi koi secrets nahin hai na? Tum to mujhe kuch bhi bata sakti ho. Aur agar tumhein lagta hai ki humein nahin jaana chaahiye honeymoon pe to tum wo bhi bejhijak keh sakti ho. I thought we were comfortable enough to express ourselves to each other na?"
"Aisi koi baat nahin hai Omkaraji... hum to bas... hum aap ke saath h-honey-honeymoon pe jaane ke liye tai-... nahin... hum aap ke saath jaana chaahte hain. Us mein humein koi problem nahin hai. Ye mat samajhiyega ki humein aap ke saath nahin jaana. Humein jaana hai"
"To problem kya hai Gauri? Kyunki kuch to hai... you're not comfortable with this? You don't think you're ready for a honeymoon yet?"
Immediately, she shook her head vigorously, making Omkara stifle a grin that threatened to break out at how cute she was being. Kicking his brain to focus on the issue and daydream about his chiraiyya later, Om nodded at her to continue
"Humara problem apne aap se nahin hai. Humein aap ki chinta hai... isi liye..."
Whatever he'd been expecting, this wasn't it.
"Meri chinta?! Kyun?"
She looked up at him with a vaguely troubled expression
"Kya aap is h-honeymoon pe jaana chaahte hain?"
For a second, he was tempted to be a bit flippant. There was no newly married man in the history of this universe unwilling to go on his honeymoon, especially when he was in love with the wife who was also going to be on the honeymoon. But remembering the amount of concern and worry he'd seen in her eyes, he demurred
"Why do you have a doubt about that Gauri?
Omkara's only reaction to her little speech was to yank her to himself and cover her lips with his. Within the blink of an eye, they were both lying on the couch, with him on top of her. With his delicious weight pressing her into the cushions, his hands holding hers captive and his lips nibbling voraciously on hers, there was nothing Gauri could do but enjoy the moment thoroughly and drown in the sea of sensations that he was creating in her.
For the first time in their newly minted relationship, Omkara backed Gauri gently into the cushions of their couch and rested himself on her, letting his body weight push her into the cushions. He needed to feel all of her and he needed to let her feel all of him. This was the only way he could convey to her why he wanted... no needed to take her on that honeymoon. When he spoke, the low, gravelly voice, clearly rough with want, made Gauri shiver and burrow closer to him, needing to have him closer than she had ever before. Things were spiraling out of their control and neither was sure they really wanted to stop and take a step back.
"Ab pata chala ki main is honeymoon par kyun jaana chaahta hoon... ya aur kuch evidence chaahiye?"
Looking deep into his eyes, lost in the amount of raw need she saw there, Gauri was surprised she even heard his words... but she had and blushing even more at his insinuation and proof of his want, she nodded mutely. Without even understanding what she was doing, just reacting blindly to the sensations that ran through her like lightning bolts and needing to feel more of him pressed up against herself, Gauri wrapped her legs around Omkara's waist.
The effect it had on both of them was instantaneous and Omkara buried his face into her neck in response, groaning as his lips tasted and sucked on the tender skin. Gauri on the other hand had never felt anything even close to this in her life... this deluge of feelings and sensations was taking over, her body instinctively reacting to Omkara's and yearning for more. Need, raw and powerful, rocked through both of them like they'd never felt before... Omkara's only decipherable thought at the moment was the need to feel more of her skin that felt like warm silk and even as his brain processed that thought, his fingers had started pulling at the neckline of her kurta, trying to free her from it.
It was when he sat up a bit to help her get out of her top, that he noticed her glassy and dazed looking eyes. And it struck him like a bucket of cold water. His fingers trying to find the catch at the back of her kurta stopped moving instantaneously and his entire being stilled on top of his wife, who was still caught in the throes of her first passionate encounter. As quickly as he could, Omkara lifted himself from her body, making sure to not rest too much of his body weight on her now and that was when she came back to earth with a jolt.
The feeling of his warmth and reassuring weight disappearing from on top of her made Gauri crash back to the present from where she'd been floating around in an ocean of sensations so new and wild, that they'd made her lose her senses. Her mind clearing, she turned dark eyes to Omkara, only to find his own chocolate ones looking incredibly guilty about something. Before she could even ask, Omkara was sitting up, pulling her back into his lap and holding her close, murmuring apologies.
"I'm so sorry Gauri... I just... I can't believe I lost myself so much. Main tumhara faaida nahin uthaa raha tha Gauri... I'm so sorry. Mujhe just tumko dikhaana tha ki tum mujhe kitna affect karti ho aur ye ki main chaahta hoon ki humari relationship ek proper pati-patni ka ho... I didn't mean to take advantage of you Gauri. Mujhe pata hona chaahiye tha ki tum kitni innocent ho... mujhe tum par itna force nahin daalna chaahiye tha. Please forgive me Gauri"
For a second, Gauri couldn't understand what he was saying and when she did, she just turned to him and set her palm over his lips, effectively shutting him up. Her face was flaming at his misunderstanding, at her own shamelessness but Gauri knew that now wasn't the moment to feel ashamed of her own eagerness but to make sure her jatadhari understood he'd done nothing wrong... and that he was misunderstanding her reactions as per usual.
"Bas... chup ho jaayiye. Aap ko bolne ka mauka diya to aap to bas bolte hi jaa rahe hain. Humari baat sunne ke liye taiyyar hain ki nahin?"
At his clearly reluctant nod, she removed her hand from his mouth, gestured for him to stay quiet and continued
"Aap ko maafi maangne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai. Haan... aise cheezon mein koi jaankaari nahin hai humari, kyunki humari zindagi mein sirf aap the, hain aur aap hi rahenge. Ye pati-patni waala rishta sirf aise shaaririk sambandh ki wajah se nahin banta... aap ne jis din humein apne dil se patni maana, usi din hum poori tarah se aap ki patni ban gaye. Aap ka hum par haq hai aur wahi haq humara aap par bhi hai. Agar aap apne dil se chaahte hain ki humare rishte ko aur aage badhaayein, to humein is mein khushi ke alava aur kya ho sakti hai?"
His eyes going to the spot on her neck that was already turning purple, Omkara looked back at her with a clearly troubled expression
"Tum ye sab mere liye nahin keh rahi ho na? Are you sure? Tum tab uncomfortable nahin thi?"
"Hum bilkul sach keh rahe hain Omkaraji... Aap ne jo humein abhi mehsoos karvaaya, use shaayad hi hum aap ko kabhi samjha paayenge. Bas samajh lijiye ki hum kisi bhi tarah se uncomfortable nahin the"
With the blush still flaming on her face, she still got the words out, knowing that he needed to hear them from her if they had to get beyond this. Omkara looked at this petite woman sitting on his lap, so small yet so strong, so delicate yet unbreakable and so precious to him... he could see what it took to express herself this way but she did it because he needed to know she was comfortable with taking their relationship forward.
Feeling the abundance of affection for her threaten to overflow from his heart, Omkara wrapped his arms around her slim figure and snuggled her close, letting his wife know without words just how much he adored her and appreciated her presence in his life. And when he felt Gauri slip her arms around him in return, leaning her head on his chest, he knew that she understood every silent word of love his heart was overflowing with.
