Well.. this serial was suggested to me by someone and I caught up on all episodes to date and my take...
IB serial started in an interesting manner but this is one serial which has more antagonists than protagonists!
More people enter to become villains..
1. Shivaay to Annika;
2. Pinky to Annika;
3. Daksh to Annika;
4. Om to Gauri;
5. Ridhima to Om;
6. Svetlana (asli and nakli) to Om;
7. Rudr to Sowmya;
8. Romi to Rudr;
9. Poor Meerut Commissioner to Rudr!
10. Tej to Jhanvi;
11. Svetlana to Tej;
12. Kali Thakkur to Gauri;
13. Chachaa Chachi to Gauri
14. Bua ma to Om and Gauri;
15. Tia to Annika
16. Svetlana to Annika
17. Mrs.Kapoor to Annika and Oberois
18. Ashok to Oberois
19. Gayatri to Oberois

I think all characters at one time or other are villains!
Coming to their khandaan and ghar: I would love to be on their security force. They all get to wear nice suits as uniforms and just stand there like statues! And just like in old movies where indian policemen come in the last minute, they too come at the last minute after all actions are done! Why? So far, they have not been of any use in any situation. Pathetic was when Gayatri was to shoot Oberois at press meet and Khanna was gawking at Oh-Bros and Gayatri nonchalantly flicks his gun-holding arm away and runs and he just turns to see her fade away into sunset and gives a shrug and goes off for lunch! Really?
And this is the only khandaan where all household help stand around them when they discuss family secrets but yet when help is genuinely needed, not one person is seen! I still remember Sowmya running around the house chased by Mahi and not a single soul was there!
And everyone discusses secrets openly in big rooms! Pinky yells najayas in 20 decibels in an open chamber and no one hears!
Svetlana oomph! She brings an ice box in and keeps the fake Svetlana under their roof and none the wiser? How is that even possible? She hides the icebox where and when she pleases and not a single person notices this. lovely servants! Must be deaf and blind!
Shivaay really liked his character even when he forced Annika to marry him though I disliked the fact that he had used Sahil since he shared a good rapport with Annika and I loved their repertoires. But with the latest track, he didn't feel anything amiss when Annika was spouting nonsense. He could have dragged her away from the main hall and talked to her in private and tried to find out.
And must be really good just to stay at home, cook most of the time or look beady-eyed at Annika and talk via his Bluetooth now and then to earn crores! No sir, he doesn't need to go to any office!
Also looks like once he is let known about the villain, he drops them like hot potato! No more enquiries! Kapoors ok, they squared everything they thought but one would at least discreetly check if any other Kapoor clan is languishing to take them out! But once Tia apologizes, all is well and she is blessed a happy married life with bacchi and sent along! Glad they didn't' pack goodies for her and Robin!
Rudr and Bhavya track really? They are supposed to be like in the witness protection program but the great Shivaay calls the press home and announces their marriage and makes sure their photos come on all newspapers and magazines! No brains!
Om and Gauri they live in the same house but when their events happen, none are seen... (dil bole oberoi) same here in IB. in many events, Gauri is not seen!
Tia and Robin and the entire tamasha less said the better!
Dadi she must have a secret pact with Thirupathi Balaji most of the time when important events happen, she goes missing to Thirupathi.. maybe that is when she rules over Thirupathi while Balaji takes a vacation or does his rounds!
Latest separation track: if only Annika had really said khandaan and sanskaar... outsiders have to learn from you all the great qualities your family members have:
1. Shivaay marrying Annika and announcing Tia as his wife!
2. Om taking drugs and was going to live with Ridhima in the Oberoi mansion
3. Rudhra getting married nashe mein and disbanding that shaadi
4. Jhanvi and her relationship with bottles
5. Pinky's willingness to accept Tia as the bahu while her son was married to Shivaay
6. Tej Svetlana! And trying to get her back while she prances with his son!
7. Prinku running away and coming back as a bride
8. Shakthi big time cheat (did I leave anyone out?)
9. Gauri and Bhavya do not even qualify as they are born brainless!
Wow! What a lovely family! And Shivaay is proud of that family! If she had said all these things, that would have sufficed! But she has to go the roundabout way involving all and letting everyone know about Shivaay being N. am sure most of the servants know!
I could go on and on about their loving family but taking a break.
As much as I loved Shivika and Annika's counters so far, have to wait and see how they try to redeem or bring back the same charm. I highly doubt it. I lost my hope forever in Kuch rang pyar ke. Let us see what Gul has in store for us.
