- Chapter One -

Gauri quickly got ready, she wore a red anarkali suit and went to the kitchen to help her mom.

In a distance she heard her father talking on the phone, " ok so you'll be here in half an hour? Omkara is coming right? Yeah okay, they'll be ready and he cut the call.

Gauri tensed when she heard his name, she felt a shiver run through her body. She turned as her father called her "gauri om has a special request of those aloo pakoda you make and he left.

"So, you want aloo pakode? Fine, they'll be soo tasty that you'll never forget them and maybe never eat them again she said as she started making them angrily.

The oberois were at the door as raghavendra and nandini went to receive them. Shakti singh oberoi and his wife Pinky singh oberoi- shivaay and omkara's parents- were welcomed with hugs and lots of laughter.

Shivaay, being the son-in-law, took blessing from anika's parents. Anya jumped gleefully in her nanu's arms and the sisters i.e. gauri and anika, were the loudest as they screamed and shouted as if they were young again. The greeting exchanged, all of them move towards the sitting area. Plates and bowls filled with homemade snacks are ready to be savoured and gauri went back to the kitchen.

As the chit-chatting begins, the doorbell rings. After insisting that he will open the door shivaay gets up to receive the guest, which is his brother, Omkara. He wasn't with them for 4 years, he was in London studying then doing a job for 2 years.

Omkara hugs his brother and before entering asks "so, how is my tadakti-bhadakti bhabhi? and they both laugh. As they turn for the sitting area , they see his tadakti-bhadakti bhabhi with her hands on her waist "what did you say om? She comes to them and pulls his ear "what did you say?

"nothing...just..ouch.. I asked him, where is my sweet sweet bhabhi he tried but anika wasn't convinced but decided to ignore as she hugged him.

They went in and omkara greeted everyone and took their blessing. Anya came to him and sat on his lap, as he played with her, he heard anika's mom say something to anika but what caught his attention was gauri's name.

"anika go and see if she is done. Anika leaves and om smiles thinking about seeing her again.

Gauri prepares the plate full of aloo pakode with an evil smile. "gauri, are you done? Om just came hearing this gauri gets a bit nervous about seeing him again.

Gauri picks the plate and leaves for the sitting area. Om has his back to her but gauri couldn't recognise him. As she moves towards them, she comes face to face with him but gets a shock of her life, om's hair had grown out, like too much, they were shoulder length and he even had a short pony tail. Her eyes open wide as she keeps looking at him. He was more handsome than she remembered and his pictures didn't do him justice. His trimmed beard and long here was another level of sexiness and she blushed at the thought.

While she was standing in front of him, om also observed the changes in her. Her hair was longer than he remembered, her eyes more beautiful, her chest and hips were fuller, she was a beautiful young woman now, long gone was the chirpy girl he remembered.

The way he was looking at her made her uncomfortable and she remembered her pakoda mission. Suddenly she smiled at him, a sickly sweet smile. "Hi om om looked at her suspiciously as she placed the plate of pakodas in his hands.

Before om could say anything, gauri excused herself as she got a call. She left the family to enjoy themselves and went to the balcony to attend the call. It was an open and big balcony.

The decorator had called gauri. This trip to Shimla wasn't just a get together but her di and jiju's anniversary was coming so they had organised a party celebration for them.

Gauri talked to him and told him the theme was traditional and the decorations should be colourful. She cuts the call after that but remains standing there. Omkara's thoughts filling her mind unexpectedly. The fluttering of her heart was much stronger than what she used to feel before. He wasn't just an arrogant and stupid boy now, he had transformed into a man, a tempting one at that.

His pictures had never done him justice, she didn't even knew he grew his hair as hee always had a cap on in his pictures. Yes, she admits she stalked him sometimes but then disgusted by herself, she stopped. Why should she suffer when it was him who broke her heart, though he doesn't really know he had that effect on her.

Even though she didn't want to think about it again, the memory just flowed to her mind, image so clear as if it happened just yesterday.

Now that she could see his face, glowing in the moonlight that came through the window, she could see his bed hair which was sexy and his facial hair made him look so handsome. She was so lost in him that she didn't realise that he took a few steps towards her now extremely close to her. Her breathe hitched in her throat and her hold on the blanket loosened. The blanket fell to the floor and that's when om really looked at her..

He was spellbound as he stared at her. She was wearing a black spaghetti top which was a bit short as he could see her navel and She wore loose silk pants. Omkara had decreased the little distance that was left between them. She could see his eyes darken and she looked down, realising that her blanket was on the floor but she was still thankful of the darkness in the room, the only light was the moonlight.

Omkara tilted his head and kept to fingers under her chin. He pushed her chin upwards so he could look into her eyes. He had always told her that her eyes were beautiful, childlike and expressive.

"what's your problem if I sleep here? he asked in a soft voice. Gauri parted her lips to speak but nothing came out. Omkara moved his finger tantalisingly slow, caressing her throat, towards the hollow beneath. Gauri gasped as she felt his finger on her throat. "hmm? Bolo but gauri just couldn't. om repeated the motion of his finger and went back up to her chin.

Gauri then spoke suddenly "you can't sleep with me but om just raised his eyebrows and smiled as if she had something weird. Thinking about what she said , she realised the double meaning behind it and blushed. Even when her face was in the darkness, she was very aware that omkara was looking at her intently. Worried that he might notice her blushing, she spoke up "just go back to your room om

"why? I told you I can't he countered back and moved his finger along the length of her neck and then her arm. She felt shivers run down her spine and his touch left a burning sensation behind.

"look.. she made an attempt to make him understand but he interrupted her "I am and gauri blushed again and thought in her mind "yeah, you are looking too much

"look om, you are a boy and I am a girl, we can't sleep on the same bed or even the same room. It doesn't matter if you are my friend. You know that our grandparents are also in this house right? she reminded him. When they were young they used to stay in the same room but things changed, they grew up and gauri had feeling for him which she didn't want or at least she didn't want them to develop any further than they already have.

His finger stopped at her elbow and went to her waist. Gauri inhaled a long breathe as his fingers touched her skin. "om.. stop she stammered as om kept a finger on her lips with his free hand.

Her lips were parted beneath his fingers and om could feel her warm breathe, he kept staring at her lips. When gauri realised that he might kiss her she tried to push him, she kept her hands on his chest. Om removed his finger from her lips and his hand slid to her nape and just like that his lips met hers. Gauri was stunned to move her lips as he kissed her, she froze as she literally felt a current run through her as he touched her, she was sure he felt it too.

She hadn't expected him to be gentle. Whenever she had thought about kissing him, she imagined raw passion but this was different and nice. His lips were warm and caressed her lips softly. Her senses were too overwhelmed by his cologne and she could hear her own heartbeats and wondered if he could hear it too.

Next morning

Gauri woke up feeling warm, too warm. She opened her eyes and turned her head as far as she could because she wasn't able to move to find herself cocooned in om's arms. His legs were entwined with hers and his hand wrapped around her stomach, holding her tightly to him. His chin rested on her head, yeah she was small compared to him and he enjoyed it too much.

Gauri struggled to get out but he was too strong so she managed to free her legs, turn in his arms and faced him, more like his throat. Gathering all her strength she pushed him back with her hands and her legs and he ended up on the floor with a thud and then as she heard him groan in pain, she couldn't stop the burst laughter that came out of her.

Gauri was so lost in thinking about that night that she didn't realise when om came and stood behind her as he spoke in her ear. "thinking about me? surprised she yelped and turned to look at him. His voice was deep and husky, just downright delicious which made her weak in her knees. The only word her lips uttered were "huh? as she blushed because indeed she was thinking about him.
