Hi! You guys give me so much love even though I deserve just a little of it. So in response, I thought of posting this. This shouldn't be long, I've had this lying around with me without getting the time to complete this. The updates will be slow but I'll complete it. Without a doubt, if you guys want m to that is.

Chapter 1: I slithered here from eden...
"She's not lying," Omkara's words issue dead silence in the room.
"Really?" Rudra asks unbelievably.
"Yes, I married her," he doesn't look at Rudra.
"Where? When?" Prinku asks.
"In Bareilly. Few months back. Is everyone done?" Omkara narrows his eyes.
"This is so sudden! Omkie, why did you get married?" Buamaa asks the real question, shock etched over her face.
Gauri's eyes widen at the questions while Om looks unfazed. She doesn't want everyone to hear the lies Omkara thought to be true about her.
"Oh come on Buamaa! If Om has married her, then there obviously was a good reason. We don't need to hear it because I'm sure Omkara doesn't want to share all the goody details about his love story with us, or he would've told us about it long back, right Om? I still cannot believe my little boy is married!"Jhanvi's words save her from further embarrassment.
Before Gauri can say anything to counter it, Jhanvi walks over to her. "I'm glad he married you. He couldn't have made a better choice. Bohot khush hu mai aaj. Finally we won't have to lie anymore aur mai apne saas banne k saare armaan pure kar sakti hu" She grasps her hands in her own with a smile. The protests die on Gauri's lips at her words and she looks over to Omkara hurriedly. The marriage doesn't mean anything, she is aware and right now, all she wants is to get away from all this. She is tired of running, be it away from him or right towards him.
She opens her mouth to rattle out the truth only to have Omkara interrupt her with words that leave her dumbfounded.
"I hope all your questions are done because now, I'd like some time alone with my wife," he grabs hold of her hand harshly.
He almost drags her to his room as she struggles to keep up with his long strides. She hears everyone else chuckle at his impatience.
"should they be allowed to share a room?" Buamaa asks hesitantly.
"Oh come on Buamaa, they have been living together for months!" Jhanvi says with a smile.
"Yes, it makes absolutely zero difference. They also happen to be married," Rudra adds.
"I'm just happy bhayya finally found someone. Its getting late. I'm out," Prinku yawns before leading everyone out of the living room.

His hands leave her wrist to slam the door shut. Her wrist stings but she ignores it when he turns to face her with rage clear in his eyes.
"Why did you lie?" she asks him before he has the chance to frame a word.
"Excuse me? I did not lie." He snarls.
"Well then, why didn't you tell them the truth? You stopped me when I tried to and dragged me up here!" her voice stays low even though all she wants to do is scream.
"I was being selfish. I haven't seen my mother this happy in years! I guess I just couldn't help myself," agitation is quite clear in his voice.
"so you'd just straight up lie to her? What about when she learns the truth?" she rounds up on him quickly.
"I did not lie to her. I simply refrained from telling her the whole truth. There's a difference," he says quietly.
"It is an extension of lying!" this time she growls.
"Oh, look who's talking!" he cocks his head.
"It's different, I had no choice," she looks away from him.
"A lie is a lie, no matter what. and we always have a choice," he says somewhat calmly.
She feels exhausted, Jhanvi's happy voice echoing in her head. He was right, she herself has never seen Jhanvi happy in all her months at the mansion. It somehow still feels wrong on so many levels even though her heart jumps at the opportunity of being close to Omkara.
"Do I have a choice now?" she whispers finally.
He stares at her for some seconds before walking over to her. "I'm not cruel, Gauri. You do have a choice."
"And what exactly would that be?" she tilts her head up to look at him.
"If you want to, you can leave and never come back. Change the city, damn it, change the country but don't you ever dare to show your face again to any member of my family. It will be tough but I'll handle Mom. And everyone else. But if you decide to stay, there's no going back. You cannot leave. This is not an ideal marriage, nor will I be an ideal husband in the confines of this room. The rest, you know very well how to act in front of them. Do not expect anything more than what is my duty," a small smile graces his face.
He has lied. Because the words are nothing but cruel. Spoken in very soft tones. A part of her mind wonders how someone can be so cruel.
"Take the bed. You've got the night to think and decide. Should you decide it, you can also leave in the night quietly. I'm tired of early morning dramatics," he leaves her rooted to the spot, pondering about the choices she has while he slips to the adjoining workshed with a deep sigh.
He doesn't want her to leave, he knows that fact. The reasons remain a bit hazy in his mind. She makes his mother happy and that is the only thing he has ever wanted. There's still his need to have her around, he is quite used to her presence. The very thought of not having her around makes him uncomfortable which leads to questions he is too tired to find answers for. So he pulls out an unfinished statue to occupy his mind.
