Shivay Singh Oberoi was thoroughly impressed with Annika Kapoor. From the day he had met her, all he could think about was her. Her attitude, her way of handling things & her resolve to get what she wants. Other than that what had him think about her was her intriguing personality. No matter how hard he tried to convince himself that she doesn't affect him, his heart was constantly running a marathon from the time he had met her & it was frustrating him to no end. Aaahh.! He was again thinking about her. He groaned while fidgeting with his tie. He was getting ready for the party, which Kapoor's had thrown. Yesterday when he was leaving the meeting his father in law had invited him for today's party. Though Mr. Kapoor hadn't told the reason but Shivay hadn't even asked as he thought that this new project must be the reason.
His wife had left 2 hours back stating she was going to spa & would arrive at the party directly, as if he cared. Thinking about her brought a sudden wave of anger & rage in him. From the last few months they both hadn't been on good terms with each other. At first it seemed like Tia had lost interest in him since Raina was born. She will be out all day not caring about home family, him & Raina. And when Shivay tried to make her realize her mistake of neglecting him and their daughter she had behaved extremely rude to him, accusing him of being a typical husband who wants his wife to stay in the four walls of the house. Shivay was shocked at her choice of words not believing it was the same Tia whom he had married. Slowly they started having arguments on every little thing & everytime not being able to handle it Shivay would walk away. He wasn't able to understand Tia's behaviour & thought may be pregnancy had changed her this much.
He had thought it to be a difficult phase of their life which will eventually pass until an information hit him like a huge mountain rock turning his world upside down. He wasn't able to believe what was going on under his nose for this long. *Tring* he came out of his thoughts as his phone rang, he picked it up immediately seeing the caller id. "Yes Khanna.? Did you meet the private investigator.?" Khanna said something to which Shivay told him, "Look i have told you before too, I don't have this much time. Ask him to get everything done as fast as he can. I have waited enough, now this game needs to end. They had started it, but i will write the end for it. And it will be something they would have no idea because no one, no one messes with Shivay Singh Oberoi." He cut the call & said to himself, "Tia baby.. you have no idea what is coming your way & i will make sure that it hits you so hard that you will be doomed for life." He smirked & doing his signature step left for the hall where his entire family will be waiting for him to leave for the party.
Annika was floating in the air since morning. It had been the best day of her life. Everything had went the way she had planned. The deals were signed & her father was happy with her. She was smiling while getting ready for the party. She had done extra effort today in getting dressed, as the party was very special for her. After all her father had thrown this party in her honour. Today he was officially going to announce Annika as the CEO of Kapoor Industries. She smiled, as she remembered there was a time when she had been neglected by everyone, everywhere especially in these kind of parties. And today, everybody's attention will be on her. She came out of her thoughts as Robin knocked on her door asking her to come fast as guests had started arriving & her father was asking for her.
As Shivay entered the party with his family, the first thing he saw was his wife standing with his mother in law talking something. He clenched his fists as he saw her smile, he so wanted to rip it off from her face. Controlling himself he made his way towards Mr. Kapoor along with the whole Oberoi family & greeted him. Mr. Kapoor warmly welcomed everyone & soon Mrs. Kapoor & Tia also joined them. As everybody was busy talking, his eyes roamed around. Whole Kapoor family was there except the arrogant Princess. He would never admit it to anyone or himself that he was waiting to see her, but somewhere he knows it & that was the cause of his irritation. He was busy in his thoughts when suddenly the air around him changed & he knew she was there, behind him, he could feel it without even turning. Slowly he turned around & watching the sight his breath stucked in his throat. There she was descending down the stairs in a black long sleeved gown, her hair tied in a messy stylish bun, her oh so innocent cocoa brown eyes as always filled with kohl, her lips painted dark red & shimmering diamond earrings adorning her ears. All in all she was the most beautiful & gorgeous girl on this planet. He was totally lost in her when suddenly Mr. Kapoor's voice brought him back to earth.
"Ladies & gentleman..! I know you all must be curious about the reason for this grand party. Well now is the time to spill the beans.. Annika..." Mr. Kapoor standing in the centre called her, gesturing her to come beside him & she followed him. What he didn't miss was the young man beside her, who was with her from the time she entered the party. Not only from the party but he had also seen him in the office beside Annika during the board meeting. His hands on her waist, while she softly smiling at him. He didn't know why but their closeness was affecting him. But Shivay Singh Oberoi will be doomed to hell if he admitted it to himself. I don't care, she doesn't affect me, he thought.
He tried to concentrate on what Mr. Kapoor was saying. "So everyone.. the reason for this party is standing right beside me. Annika Kapoor my daughter. Well she has been away from me for a long time but now she is back & i am really really happy. And i am proud to announce that from now she is Officially the new CEO of Kapoor Industries. She has achieved this position by her hardwork. Moreover from the time she has joined the company all we have got is more & more profit. Be it this new project with the Oberois or the merger with Mittals. I am proud of you Beta.." as Mr. Kapoor concluded his speech Annika was smiling with tears in her eyes. She just hugged her father tightly & whispered, "Thankyou dad. Thankyou so much.." her father reciprocated the hug with the same intensity. The whole hall echoed with loud claps for them.
As they got rid of the media & their questions Mr. Kapoor led her to the Oberoi family. Though Annika had met them when Tia & Shivay got married but then she wasn't this much social. So they never had a normal conversation except for the greetings but today it was her father who proudly introduced her to the Oberoi family as his elder daughter, her heart swelled with happiness. Annika touched Dadi's feet taking her blessings, then she met the senior Oberoi clan respectfully & after that it was turn to greet the junior oberois. She smiled shaking hands with everyone & they went on talking about different things. Everyone liked this beautiful & soffisticated young lady. Rudra, saumya & Om looked like they became her fan in just an hour of time. They were all like long lost friends.
Where all were enjoying the lavish party, there were two people who did not look pleased with all the happenings. Mrs. Kapoor was clearly upset with the turn of events, she never liked Annika. She had always kept a safe distance from her & had always tried to keep her husband busy so that he wouldn't give his time to Annika. She had been insecure of her since the time she got married to Mr. Kapoor. So in order to get rid of all her insecurities she used Tia as her gadget. Knowing Annika's weakness of being an introvert she turned Tia into the famous society Doll everbody would adore, so that everyone's attention remains at Tia & no one would notice Annika. And she had been successful all her life & was very happy when Annika decided to move to London. Everything was going smoothly till her husband decided to bring his daughter back. She tried very hard to cajole him saying if Annika is happy in her life they shouldn't disturb her but her husband was too adamant. And now listening to this news of Annika being the new CEO of the company she saw all her plans failing. But she would not accept defeat without a fight. She thought about the plan she had in her mind & smirked.
On the other hand there was Tia, who was constantly busy with her phone & was clearly upset. It seemed like she was waiting for someone to pick her call but was unable to contact the person. And now her agitation was turning into frustration & she looked like she would explode any moment.
As everyone was busy in their own world there was one person who was just observing everything. It was none other than Shivay Singh Oberoi. He had seen Everything. Yes, he had seen his family interacting with the person who was the only source of his uneasiness these days. He had seen the admiration on his siblings face for Annika & a smile appeared on his lips seeing them talking like they were friends since years. He had also observed the unhappy expression on Mrs. Kapoor's face & he knew that something is cooking in her devil mind & he was on alert. This lady always gave him negative vibes & he knew she is upto something. Then his gaze travelled to his wife who was busy on her phone & by her expressions he could clearly understand what was making her so restless. She was waiting for someone & his fists once again tightened as he could decipher who that someone was.
And if it could get any more worse, he heard the voice, which he hated the most in this whole world, "Hey everyone.." "Hey Daksh.. How are you son?" Mr. Kapoor greeted him & hugged him warmly. "I am fine uncle. How are you. Btw it isn't a question to ask, ofcourse you would be happy, afterall your daughter is back." Daksh said in a sweet voice. Shivay controlled himself by tightening his hold on his fists & moved towards the crowd where everyone was present. He heard Mr. Kapoor laugh & say, "Of course.! i am very happy." Daksh smiled & then turned towards Annika & offering the flower bouquet to her said, "Congratulations to the new & beautiful CEO." Annika smiled & accepting the bouquet replied, "Thankyou Mr. Khurrana." Daksh groaned at her formal greeting & said, "Oh come on Annika don't get so formal. I mean call me Daksh yar i am a handsome young man not so old that you're addressing me as Mr. Khurrana." Annika laughed at this. Daksh also smiled & then suddenly he got excited, "Hey Shivay. How are you.? Where are you man.? No calls, no meet ups.? Forgot your best friend haan.?" Shivay stiffened as he hugged him.
Shivay felt suffocated & his temper was just hanging on a loose thread ready to burst but he controlled himself. He didn't reciprocate & came out of the hug in a very unnoticed way & smiled a tight lipped forced smile & said, "I am Fine Daksh. Just a little busy these days. I am working on a very important project. Actually someone had tried to betray me & i am trying to figure out what punishment should be given." Daksh's eyes widened & he said teasingly, " What how is this possible. Betraying Shivay Singh Oberoi. Who dared to invite death for himself." Shivay smirked & said, "Don't worry, the person won't get away this easily. No one dares to betray Shivay Singh Oberoi & if someone does, he will have to bear the consequences for a life time." Daksh nodded with a laugh saying i know dude. But he missed that fire in Shivay's eyes & if he had seen it he wouldn't have taken this so lightly. Anyways, the party continued smoothly with everyone once again getting busy in talks, that no one noticed the absence of two persons.
Robin was walking through the corridor cursing the waiter who spilled the drink on him by mistake. He was about to take a turn to go to his room to clean his clothes when he stopped suddenly hearing Annika's name from a room. First he thought of ignoring it as it isn't good to hear someone's private conversation but then he stilled when he heard the next sentence. He slowly moved towards the room & opened the door extremely slowly not giving away any doubt that someone was eavesdropping their conversation he looked inside & what he saw made his eyes popp out. Their stood Annika's sister Tia, her arms wrapped around a guy's neck whom he recognized to be Daksh whose arms were wrapped around her waist. What the hell was happening here. Robin thought. What was Annika's sister doing here in this state with the man whom he was introduced as their family friend. And wasn't Tia married to the eldest Oberoi son, that blue eyed man.
His thought process came to a halt as he heard Tia saying, "Daksh baby. Are you sure this plan is going to work? I mean do we really need to involve that Annika in all of this?" Daksh replied, "Of course Tia this is a full proof plan. My Dad has already talked about Mine & Annika's marriage. And i am 100% sure your dad will agree to it. Once i got married to Annika then all the business, properties & everything Annika has will be ours." Tia nodded saying, "Yeah. And that Annika is too stupid to know about all this. Poor girl will never know how her life is going to change for worse." Both laughed at this & then Daksh said, "Did you bring those papers on which i had asked you to get Shivay's signatures.?" Tia nodded & getting out of his arms got her clutch & brought out some folded papers & gave them to Daksh. He took the papers & smiled seeing them & said, "Now Shivay Singh Oberoi is going to be destroyed, he won't even know what storm hit him. And till the time he will realize this was all planned by me & he was a mere pawn in this game Everything will be out of his hands. He will be finished." Daksh laughed but his laugh was cut short by Tia who pulled his collar angrily, "This was not only your plan. But ours.. understood." She said menacingly. Daksh looked at her wide eyed but then pulling her by her waist into him, "Ahan. Spicy. I like it." Saying this he pulled her in for a kiss.
Robin immediately moved away from the door & held onto the pillar behind him. Shock would be an understatement for what he felt right now. Such a big game was going on here. A destructive storm was on its way which will destroy everything. He needs to do something. He was contemplating his thoughts when suddenly the door opened, he quickly hid himself behind the pillar. Daksh came out of the room in hurry when he suddenly banged into a waiter. The waiter nervously apologized but Daksh was in such a hurry that he left before the waiter could complete apologizing, only if he would've stopped, he could have known about the papers which had fallen from his jacket during the bang. But Robin's eyes had caught onto those & as the waiter & Daksh both disappeared he quickly came out of the hiding & picked those papers. As he read the content of the papers his face turned pale. Oh my god.. so this was Daksh & Tia's plan. Robin thought shocked.
Thinking he needs to do something immediately he turned but stopped in his tracks. There stood in front of him in all his glory Shivay Singh oberoi. Shivay arched his eyebrows & asked, "What happened? What are you doing here? And why are you looking so disturbed.?" Robin thought of what to do. Should he tell him about all this. But he cannot trust him. He doesn't know anything about shivay & it's his sister's life at risk too. He can't let Annika into any danger because he could see how dangerous this Daksh was. Everything is so complicated. First he needs to think & plan everything. It is then he will see if he should let Shivay into this or not. Thinking all this he quickly folded the papers & smiled at shivay "Nothing. Actually a waiter spilled some drink on my shirt. I was just going to my room to change. See you later buddy." Saying this he quickly went away leaving a confused Shivay standing there.
